It all works together that for sure! So I actually ditched the belt and elbow sleeves completely for this movement about a month ago. Strengthening my bench arch and the discs that were jacked feel much more stable in that area. Long periods of driving or sitting still sucks so I know it’s still a thing, but I’m coming along? Maybe I should load up 325 lbs on the SSB for shrugs a month before my meet again

I’ve been doing light lower work. Just haven’t logged it cuz it’s boring and light lol. A lot of single leg work with KBs and bands, etc. RDLs if I don’t have to drive my car that day.even an empty barbell RDL is a no go?

I’ve tightened up my preesdown form over the years to what I might dare say is….perfect? Added a wrist roll and pause at the bottom of every set a few years ago. Push/spread slow, roll wrist and pause, repeat. Very effective additions to the movement.6-rep rope Pressdowns![]()
