@Hyde I grabbed a vial of this guy. I was going to get the other mix at 300 choline 200 carnitine but it was sold out. Figured this would be a good way to wet my beak a little. I was planning on pinning it IM on geared days. What are your thoughts on timing and dosing? Really want to focus on getting the most from the choline, more than the carnitine.

This is actually an ideal dose ratio. So while it probably cost more per mg of choline, this will help it transport more efficiently (assuming you are consuming some carbs or sodium preWO, which should always be happening to ensure hydration).

I have heard Alex Kikel to say start with ~80mg of choline IM and work up based on how you feel, but too much is bad because it’s almost like things start to process too fast for the muscles and you get out of timing. That’s an extremely bro statement, but the gist is the right dose for you is all you want.

I like around 120-150mg choline IM right before I leave for the gym or go out in the garage to start warming up. I would say at least 20 minutes before getting to the main movement is ideal. This is only 0.4-0.5cc in a slinpin.

If you didn’t get time to use it prior for some reason, taking 0.5 of this with your postWO meal/shake (protein still spikes insulin release) would help recovery & brain fog, but for max performance I would opt for it prior always.

All the answers I sought. Always appreciated my man!

37.75 😅😅😅😅 bwahahahaha

I remember when I was a lil whippersnapper counting his age in decimals. But now that I'm 40 we don't do that anymore.
Nope you count it in months. You are 480 months old... ;) Is that too old for breastfeeding? I think not!

totally unrelated but I got facebook jail for posting a meme of Hunter Biden riding the chinese spy balloon in his underwear for "sexually explicit material" and the next day instagram had my feed filled with full nude breast feeding videos 😅😅 this kid was falling asleep with one in his mouth and another in his hand and my only response was "same".

I’m a boob man. Always and forever.

Cruising 150 test 120 NPP. Felt cheated by deca after last blast and had a lil NPP to finish off. Pondering running 6.5 mg var daily for the next few months.

Anyone dabbled?

Var will drop your HDL even at that dose, and keep it low. Don’t cruise it.

Right, run it as a cycle and enjoy, not worth the HDL hit for such a small dose.

I’ve seen it at low dose impact mine, and Vigorous Steve was doing his bloodwork review and using 5mg Var only on training days and his HDL was always under 40, despite a very moderate stack, health supplements like citrus bergamot, and what most would consider an extremely healthy regimented diet (fish, nuts, vegetables, very little carbohydrate, zero processed food).

That’s a fat incline closegrip! Raw arm power there.
Thanks man! Tris and front delts are blowing up recently.
I ditched the weighted dips as my arms are smoked from all this exclusive pressing lol. Those incline pauses really tax a guy

Nice session and yeah those pauses will get you!

Picked up an F8 single ply bench shirt. For a few reasons:
1. I can’t put on a multi ply shirt or set my hands on the bar by myself
2. I wouldn’t lift multiply loads by myself
3. Able to dawn a single ply shirt and set hands by myself
4. Gotta crawl before you can walk
5. Laws of accommodation still apply to equipped bench. Eventually I will mix it up between single and multi to keep the stimulus

Next session will be first ever time in a real bench shirt

Is it a closed-back or open back shirt? Traditional poly single-ply has to be closed for competition, which are very difficult to get into solo. I’m not sure what the Unlimited class rules are, but multiply allows open back.

Closed back. I gave it a whirl when it landed. they put pull straps on it and it seems to be much more approachable than traditional single ply poly as far as getting it on and situated. I looked around and it’s widely accepted in most feds. Also approved for Texas high school (both genders). I’ll throw some pics up when I’m home.

That’s awesome. That is the number one thing that has always prevented me from truly considering competing in single-ply. Wraps I can learn if it means I get to use a suit, and deadlift training is basically still raw until the very end for a conventional guy, but I don’t have an extra hour on bench days to try to get in/out of a closed poly solo. I can only probably organize one truly long day a week, so that would be squat.

The number one thing that prevents me from ever being a multiply lifter, is that there is no standard for squat depth. There really never has been. I appreciate all the lifts my early idols did for what they are, but it was never to the standard raw is (hip crease below the top of knee), and it’s become an impossible meme at this point.

Equipped squats look very ugly to me as well. I appreciate the poundage and all, but in the end raw/wrapped/sleeved squats appeal every time in my eyes.

Elastic seems to be much more manageable in terms of learning, equipping and manipulating compared to their poly counterparts. I think that’s the biggest thing that roped me in.

Your spotter better not get too close when your pressing in that baby, you’ll press right through him.💪
Oh, and a Boob man here as well, but I do like a nice butt. 😜

Geared

Mini band warms:
PAs x 20
Press downs x 40 slow
OH Facepulls x 20 (standing JM press-ish)

DB fat grips flat bench loaded stretch:
40’sX2 mins

Single ply widowmaker bench, bench bar, wraps, slow controlled:
55x20 bar only, slow, force feed blood
475x1x3 sets
495x2 PR, first geared double
505x1 approx 1 board
475x1x5 sets

Opted to stick with the widowmaker for one more full session before dawning the single ply shirt. I found my starting benchmark last week let’s blast it out and learn this week. I get excited but I need to follow the roadmap of patience and building blocks. Next week, I plan to use the widowmaker for warmups then proceed to full shirt for the first time.

Progression is being had as I set an overall volume PR for geared bench and also hit my first double today. I’m like how this is moving.
Also, went with alphaGPC an hour before workout today to see how it goes with the brain drain. Thanks @Hyde
I want to run alpha for a while before trying out injectable choline/carnitine. I think it will be much better received down the road when I’m really hammering. I do have to say 2 week adaptation periods are real lol. My body and CNS is starting to embrace this punishment, I welcome it.

That is a crazy jump to 475, must have been feeling really good. Congrats on that 495 PR, got to keep this train rolling and see where you end up….just impressive.💪

How the hell you can just put 475 on the bar without working up prior is insane to me.

I’ve always been able to make big jumps with bench. The other 2 lifts no way in hell. I do treat my bar warmups as though there are 4 plates on. I actually have to rack it at rep 10 and take a few breaths before finishing the other 10. So there is definitely intensity and neural stimulation. But I believe this is just how my body operates (in terms of bench) after all these years.

I think it is very relative to being in gear also. With gear, 475 has become the bare minimum so I think my mind treats it like it’s 2 plates. Lightweight baby!

I also think Brady Stewart is a cool bencher and have always been impressed with how he takes a cold raw bench single every day. He literally gets under the bar and presses 440lbs and up with zero warm

Choline is a game changer as well I forgot to add. I wasn’t expecting that drastic of a result but alphaGPC worked like something illegal lol.
Had a few more reps in the CNS tank and post training I didn’t feel like a brain dead dullard. Appetite was not affected so that a win in my book. I’ll be curious to see how the inj goes when I run that

Yeah people sleep on it because it’s a natural supplement, but that doesn’t mean it’s not obviously helpful. I remember hearing Mike Arnold on a podcast mention that just because you take gear, don’t sleep on your proven ergogens. Caffeine, creatine, choline (the 3 C’s!) should be in every serious lifter’s arsenal.

Seriously, take 10g creatine mono for a week, then down a a triple espresso and some AlphaGPC on the way to the gym. Just try to tell me afterwards you weren’t any stronger than without those 3 with a straight face.

Just like carbs, water & salt, which are so foundational people often neglect them. Stepping over dollars to pick up dimes.

That's nuts. When I went through USAW oly certifications they had done some studies showing that guys who warmed up were no less likely to get injured than guys who did warm up a ton but I feel like my body needs to adapt. a 300lb squat feels soul crushing to me unless I already did 285 then its fine. plus my adductor is sore until I get through 225, then I don't even feel it anymore. same with my forward delts on bench. I need like the equivalent of 30 reps at 95lbs just to get my shoulders and elbows juicy... idk.

It’s seriously insane how effective it is! Any benefit to taking daily? I was just intending to use on my 2 heavy days for the time being.

I have to do my warmups just to get all the popping and creaking out of the way, especially on bench with my shoulders, and then I’m good. Lord I wouldn’t want to know what would fall apart if I didn’t warmup.🔥🤪

Cohort matters.

Bunch of pencil-necked lab coats sampling above-average genetic lifters under age 25 who don’t have the training mileage and aren’t supercharged with PEDs doesn’t really apply to most people, at some point. Even if you don’t use drugs, you aren’t only 18-22 years old anymore like the average Olympian.

Yeah allegedly, but I don’t do that because of the cost and I like the acute difference lol. But I have been giving it to my wife daily now these last 3 weeks of prep.

Alright, think I’ll just keep reaping the rewards training days. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Felt cute. Might enter a BB show later today

That is my troll for the day lol.

Me: looking juicy, you can see some good progress for sure.

I don’t think he’s Natty. To me, this physique shows some signs that’s he’s probably used some creatine. Or at least a preworkout powder. My cousin used that stuff, and he said it turned him into a raging animal and he lost his job.

-also-

There’s no way he’s not Natty. I mean steroids do way more for you, and he doesn’t have that steroid look, see how he’s all bloated. If he was taking some SARMs he would be at least 350lbs and a lot leaner. If he got on TRT he could probably break 400lbs.

you guys are making me jealous here. I almost want to get a partial membership at my buddies powerlifting gym to hit his reverse hypers machine alone occasionally.

Dude looking fuckin' yoked. for some reason from one of the other videos or something else you posted I didn't realize you were so thick, I figured you were like 8ft tall to weigh 230.

The only time I get tempted to grab a pump pic some dudes hanging brain in the locker room and I don't need the grinder app going off.
