Trying to lose weight and taking 1gm of vitamic c.i am scared now...

Interesting... The study doesn't seem all that reliable however. No mention of double blind, or placebo controls, and only 14 subjects.

Seems like the real question is if inflammation/oxidation is a necessary part of muscle growth and cardio adaptation. NSAIDs like Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen have been observed to blunt muscle growth and protein synthesis.

I take tons of vit c Have been for years and I stay quite lean year round.

Funny because you can find 150 studies on antioxidants improving endurance and 150 saying it lessens it. I think either side is insignificant

I would keep taking it

^^^ This...

One would think the difference would be so miniscule, it would be foolish to stop taking for THOSE reasons. The host of either benefits provided by these two crucial vitamins FAR outweights any SLIGHT (if at all) decrease in endurance or fat burning capability. The cortisol controlling effects of Vitamin C alone should cancel out any of the negative fat burning effects that are alleged.

In your case the benefits would far outweigh any other negative effects its going to have... keep taking it for sure...

i don't see how something with a half-life of like 30 minutes can give those types of side effects... but what do i know
