SFreeds 8 Weeks to the Beach cut

The log title says it, must be the beach. Has some algae bloom, it seems.
 
I'm back! Weather went to shyt, so I cut it short a day. Large hail and severe winds are no good when your roof is made out of nylon. I'm gonna head to the gym here shortly, as soon as I get caught up. Only supps I've had the last few days are Flexatril, Nootrol and Radiate, so gotta get back on track there, too. Curious to see where the weight is. 26 miles with 45 lbs on my back, up some pretty steep inclines means a whole lot of calories burned, but I also took in a whole lot of calories while doing it, so we'll see. I do believe I'll be skipping legs today for sure. My calves are really tight.
 
Hit the gym this morning. Dosed SuperNova upon waking, then before leaving for the gym took my favorite pre-workout Radiate and MaxReps. It's been a few days, so I went back to my last HST workout and repeated it. 100% of 15 rep max. Started off with 15 minutes on the treadmill, just to get loosened up a bit. Didn't power through it, just did the exercises at a steady pace. Spent about 2 hours total at it, then 20 minutes in the sauna and back home. Weight before starting was 194, so continuing the slow weight loss. I'm on vacation, so I'll have to really watch the food intake. Normally I would do two workouts per day while on vacation, as a way to keep from sitting around bored eating.

And what's everyone's thoughts on fitness trackers? Seems like I go through a spell every once in a while where I think I need one. Been looking at the Garmin Vivoactive HR.

Never seemed accurate to me.....and I used some good ones.
It seems more like something just to keep your mind on your "program"- which you've got down.....
But they ARE cool toys;)

Never had a fitness tracker. Don't see the need for me. but I don't run and do very little if any cardio.

The only one I ever had that was remotely accurate is my Microsoft Band 2. They discontinued due to band defects. I still use it, but only for workouts and sleep, to preserve the band. You can probably find them for cheap now. Most of the trackers are only useful for runners. You really need heart rate, skin temp, galvanic skin response, and accelerometer IMO to get accurate numbers when lifting.
 
Today is an off day for HST, so it's cardio and abs, with pullups mixed in for the challenge. I've got a few days of vacation left and since it was a rainy chilly day, I went twice today. 45 minutes LISS, 30 minutes abs and 30 minutes HIIT followed by 15 minutes in the sauna. Once in the morning and again in the afternoon. Got back on track with the supps also. 3 caps DCP with food twice a day is the key to no heartburn for me. Haven't noticed any tolerance buildup with the Radiate. Rounded scoop stills feel the same as it did 2 weeks ago. Also not seeing a lot of change that can be attributed solely to the Abliderated / SuperNova. I'll continue smearing it on, just not sure if it's having any real effect. I'm really trying to up my ab workouts. I know that it's all about being low bodyfat, but I still feel that my core in general isn't progressing that well.

Monday marks the halfway point of this cut. If the trend continues, I should be around 192 lbs by then. At that point, I'll probably start easing up on the cardio. I don't have an abundance of muscle mass, and I sure don't want to start losing any of it.

And my wife text me today and told me she wanted to go to St Louis Friday and spend the night. Probably won't be back in time Saturday for a gym workout, so it looks like it'll be Hotel Sex cardio instead.
 
Very happy to hear that there's no tolerance buildup.....that's usually the problem with most thermos...
Anyhoo, sounds like you're KILLING the cardio....I got tired just reading about it! ;)

Today was begining of week 3 of HST, 2 sets of 75% of 10 rep max. Was gonna copy and paste the exercises again, but apparently I never listed them in the beginning. Pressed for time now, so I'll work on it later.
15 minutes warmup on the treadmill, then almost 2 hours to get thru the workout. 30 minutes of LISS and 15 minutes in the sauna. Stepped on the scale before the sauna and am at 193 this morning.

Gotta head to St Louis for a fun filled night, so catch you guys later

Spent the morning working on stuff around the house to get my wife off my back, Abliderated my mid-section, took my Radiate and hit the gym around noon. 15 minutes warm-up on a treadmill then 80% of 10 rep max HST workout. Then 45 minutes of LISS. Didn't even get close to the scale, since I'm sure my weight is up from the last couple of days. I'll give it a few days and check it.
Exercises for this time around are 45° Leg Press, Leg curl, Leg Extension, Calf Raise, Seated Cable Press, DB Hex Press, Machine Flies, DB Lateral Raise, T-Bar Row, Cable Upright Rows, DB Shoulder Press, Front DB Raise, Cable Face Pulls, BB Shrug, Cable Curls, Hammer Curls, Incline Curls, Overhead Triceps Extension, Skull Crushers and Pull Downs.
I'm not seeing a lot of results out of most of the supps I'm taking. Super 7, Assassinate and Abliderated don't seem to be doing much. Radiate and DCP are the only ones that seem to be helping out. Of course, since I've got them, I'll continue taking them.

I'm in the same boat. I'll try things when they're being ran by people I trust. But even that doesn't really mean much. Sometimes, what works great for one person doesn't do shyt for the next guy. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about ditching most of the supps I've been taking.

I haven't ran dcp since I used to rep for bps years ago, but big thumbsup for radiate!!!

Haha! Somehow I missed the original post. Thanks to big T for replying so I saw this. :-)

Vacations are hard work man. I brush the beard out a lot during that time and it really hits the biceps.

I did just get back from a trip. But it was business this time... Maybe I should start looking for my next vacation.

In the end, I think there are only a few things that really work. I listen to people I trust as well when it comes to supps I haven't tried or don't know much about. Even if someone says it works, but has to double, even triple the recommended dosage, that isn't "working" to me.
 
And I will be the creepy guy slipping roofies in your margaritas. Then leaving you to sleep on the beach night after night until your trip is over.

Funny story......Last year I spent Monday morning (our 2nd day there) drinking a lot more than I should have. Ended up falling asleep laying on the beach around noon. My wife thought it would be hilarious if she took all of our stuff and went back to the condo. Left me laying there, on the beach, like a homeless person. Some guy came over around 3:00 and woke me up. Wanted to make sure I was ok. My wife has a strange sense of humor.

I feel asleep on a blow up air thing. Woke up and the tide had taken me out so far I could hardly see the shore line. Took me 2.5 hours to swim back to the beach, Then I was 3 miles from the condo. When I got back my wife was pissed. She was getting ready to call the police. I did get a awesome sholder workout and a sunburn!

After a while of yelling and eventual hungover sex, I finally convinced her to take me home because I had to go to work. It was Sunday. She wasn't smart.
 
Is there anything worse than the first day back to work after a vacation?
