Yeah. Not using a squat bar since April 26th. lol The one time I went to show Lou a quick low bar setup video, it ****ing hurt lol
 
Oh ya, so the 725 was never a world record come to find out. After all that bull**** trying to get it up, PLW backdated that Russians 727 from Worlds this last November. Had I known that if it were posted on time, I would have aimed for 730. So, now it's just an American record. Which is better than any other country anyways.

Setsxreps is my favorite set/rep scheme. I follow it religiously, every training session.

Zero on the dumbell. Only one guy got them up in my weight class.

I inhialated the deadlift, though. 475 followed by 5 keg drops in 30 seconds. Most awkward setup ever. I had to lean forward to break the ground then shift to my heals at my knees.

Rolling Thunder/Country Crush is a zero. Slipped second I started breaking the ground. Terrible

**** those farmer carries. No drops allowed. I held the handle wrong and they pitched forward on the ground. Everyone was running them with them angled backwards, not forwards like I tried.

I smoked the 200/225 bag but got too light headed when I lapped the 250. I sat there for a second with it and that did it in for me.

I completed 1 of the 5 events. No more strongman for me lol
 
It's just not fun to me the way a big single is in powerlifting. Everything besides the deadlift and log events in strongman feels like...why am I even doing this? Even axle and circus db press feel dumb. I am not athletic and have never enjoyed athletic things. I'm just a meathead, and I'm okay with that.

It's a ton of fun to watch, but that's about it.

Also, why would they allow no drops with all that turf?? I get it if it's concrete but that seems excessive...
 
Online they said they allowed drops but at rules they said no drops. The second those front tires pitched forward and hit I could have easily shifted my grip and gotten it again but instead they just counted my 2ft distance lol

The sandbags were fun. I just got gassed and oozy feeling. Obviously poor work capacity. Deadlift was cool. Circus Dumbells sucked. Got that mother ****er up 6 times and didn't hold each one long enough for a lockout. The grip thing was by far the stupidest event. Top time was 10 seconds or some ****. It was hard a fûck lol

Still had a fun day. Just glad I rocked the deadlift
 
Sounds like a heinous time. But it also sounds like you were more successful than my attempt. I took second to last at my comp. You could have gotten big ups if They didn't screw you with The dumbbell, rolling thunder, and the farmers walk.

I came down with a severe case of swoliosis after having about 200g of carbs at breakfast followed by this workout.

For rear delts, I used some light KB's, held with a pronated grip. Not sure how itd feel compared to holding a dumbell that way as I grabbed the KB's because they were right there in front of me. Felt great on the upper back and delts though.

I love these 50 rep delt raises. Figured these 2x a week along with all the benching will do my delts just fine.

Switched to the straight bar instead of continuing with the buffalo. Despite breaking last week's reps, it felt harder and not near as comfortable. Odd.
 
Not sure that's so odd. Isn't the point of the duffalo bar to bring more comfort?

Edit: regardless I want to try it. It's just amazing to me that and increased ROM can be more comfortable. Not denying it just on paper seems like it would impinge the shoulder more.

Ours is a buffalo, not duffalo. I'm sure it's different somehow.

It's weird. It makes my scaps set perfectly somehow.

Form felt like crap but I'm pretty sure it's the third week in a row of rep PR's so I don't care. I had my hands out on the bar ends until the last set when I brought them back in. Should have left em out wider with this bar.
 
I'm in the same boat w the rep PRs, added 30lb for my last set of 5 last week and it went from clean to garbage just like that. Still got excited lol

I thought it all looked good man, nice lifting!!!
 
I thought my form would go in the toilet with the higher reps, too. But I think being a speedy lifter, I seem to gain faster hitting reps. I think the doubles and the peaking reinforces form well enough.
