Ruck up sucka! iparatroop's permanent training home.

I wish I wasn't on the phone so I could listen to lamb of god and read the update at the same time haha I find with deads choosing the jumps is important. For example, there is a chance you go from 355 to 3 and a quarter plates, then 4 maybe you get it. Who knows? Basically I personally think balancing energy expenditure and not jumping to much at the same time comes into play with deads. Solid work regardless
I agree with your outlook. Today wasn't a scheduled day to shoot for a new 1RM but I felt strong and had a few extra minutes. The jump from 385 to 405 seemed logical (only because 4 wheels looks cooler than 3 and some change).
It's getting pulled next week though.

Vids homie!

And when Seattle loses I wanna see dat new pr in a nice form fitting cocktail dress. Preferably something with a bit of lace :)

Metallica....ugh. Most over rated band in rock and roll history. Every song sounds EXACTLY the same....and that one song sucks.

I'm mad now because you stole some Romaleos, and people are bad mouthing Metallica...but as long as it stays post-Justice I'll allow it.

Leave you fückers alone for a day...good lawd.

I saw the Justice tour in Detroit when I was 17... Then Black tour in Toronto... Summer Sanitarium tour (don't think it was even for an album) and the Death Magnetic Tour ... all shows were excellent.

I saw Justice twice, black 4 times, summer sanitarium twice.

Black was the best group of them IMHO. More refined and actually a bit heavier than Justice.

It's Puppets for me, hands down. Justice was well put together and was pretty amazing. Everything after that became a little too theatrical and overproduced, IMHO.
As far as bass players go, cliff 'em all! Newsted always was and will be far better than Trujillo, forever.
Saw Metallica in '96 with Korn as the opening act (before Korn blew goat ass). They cut sanitarium short and turned it into Nothing Else Matters. Wtf? Then the stage blew up and guys got caught on fire and fell from the rafters and shlt. Whole place went dark and then they each clicked on a droplight, one by one, and proceeded to play everything from garage days and most of kill 'em all. Great show.

Holy crap dude^

Technically speaking, Trujillo is a better base player than Jason, but not as a metal guy. He had a band Infectious Grooves as a side gig where he could really lay down a groove and do funk solos and ****. Just not a fit for Metallica. Les Claypool tried out for them, and he is the ****, but he doesn't fit. I used to jam master of puppets Claypool style though :P

MoP is a great album, but I like the black album and ride the lightning more than any others.

Yes, Trujillo is superior, technically (but that doesn't require much, as Newsted isn't an amazing bassist in the first place) but Jason's stage presence and voice are what made him an integral part of the ensemble when he was. Trujillo just can't fit like he did. I know about infectious grooves, as I was a ST fan growing up (all I wanted was a Pepsi).
In James' words, Les was too good. I'm glad they didn't pick him up too. I don't think we would have even been blessed with Primus had Les been picked up by Metallica. I also don't see how a, what is it a 28" fretless, could have fit all that well anyway. Les is his own one-man show.

Agreed les is fantastic. Especially the search for the holy grail which most aren't familiar with. He played every song, every instrument , and sang the lyrics then blended it together. But also agree that staying with Metallica would have left the rock world lacking. C'mon.... No " my name is mud". What would we do without Wynonas big brown beaver?? I have there last album not nearly as good as the early stuff but am a huge huge fan. I may have the album name wrong ill have to find it but it was when he was doing a lot of stuff with the fearless flying frog brigade

It makes me very happy to see someone else feels this way! I've been saying or for years and everyone always looks at me like I'm crazy.

People don't look at you like your crazy due to your Metallica thoughts, its that you walk around with that dam dildo hanging out of your arse!

I was just shocked that he tried balls first and not balls deep-it was more of a "how...why..." look

Short quick day. Traffic was suck on the way to the gym, little time.

Quick warmup
Mobility work
Couple minutes of double unders

Bench/BO DB row/front squat/GHR full ROM sit-ups complex.

135x14/65x10 (L&R)/135x12/10
185x12/65x10/225x6/10
205x8/65x10/185x6 (3sec hole pause)/10
205x8/65x10/185x6 (3sex hole pause)/10

And done. Good sweat.

Pre 1/2 scoop STIMUL8
Intra 11g BCAA/SAA
24 oz water.

If you were on the fence about Romaleos and were hesitant to pull the trigger, pull it. They're solid. Felt like I was glued to the floor. They're heavy and they don't flex when walking. Feel kinda like bricks. I'm sold.

This eye thing has been developing since yesterday morning. At the doc now. Better not be pinkeye. Feels like someone stabbed me in the eye with a hammer.

No good bud.

Eye issues suck... that is all!

Pinkeye.
Out of commission for a couple of days.
WTF am I, a first grader? Grown ups don't get pinkeye.
Dumb.

Did someone fart on your pillow?..
