ah...ah....YEAH BUDDY!

Leg day! I already hit my 1.5 hours of cardio with the SF Stack and am ready to rock! This will be one killer day and tomorrow I roll out to TEXAS for the Europa Super Show.

I will post later on how I murdered my legs!
 
LEGS were stupid, crazy, YEAH BUDDY get the bucket so that I can puke and not get it on my Converse All Stars! My training partner was sick, so after finding that out I had already done a few sets of abs while waiting. Then, I snapped into the zone. I was TIRED from morning cardio because it was freaking 80 degrees and humid at 3:30am, but I am NOT going to back down and let anyone beat me! I gathered myself and got freaking pumped. After the first warm up set of Leg Press, it was on.

Leg Extension: 2 warm ups of 15
Leg Press: start with 3 plates for 15, then 4, 5, 6, 7 all for 15 reps WOW
hammer v-squat: 2 plates for 15, 3 plates for 15
Leg Curl: 15 reps (at least) and 2 sets to failure!
Walking Lunges: 60lbs each arm x 6 reps each leg
Tip-Toe Smith Squat: 2 sets of 15 BURN!!
Calves: 3 sets of 25

TAN--WOW!

Thank Goodness I had Vasocharge, Primal EAA and Xtend in me or I would have died. What would have been a crappy workout was amazing just by fooling myself into thinking I was hyped! I WILL QUALIFY IN SIX WEEKS DAMMIT!

CARB MEAL TONIGHT! I will try and get pics, although my legs will be swolen and not cut due to me KILLING them this morning.

Time to get ready for Dallas tomorrow. YEAH BUDDY!

YEE HAW! I am in Dallas!

I am catching a training session in a few moments with one of our KEY UK accounts. We will be blasting shoulders in a business meeting. Hopefully he doesn't get too sore to sign the checks for more Xtend....YEAH BUDDY--GIDDY UP!

I did my cardio at 1:30am and then caught my flight. I am SO READY to rock this damn thing in six weeks. NO ONE WILL OUT-CONDITION ME!!!
 
Yesterday was a very busy day! I woke up at 1:30am, did my cardio, got ready, drove to the airport and came to Dallas. Upon landing, I received a call from our very good account from the UK and he wanted to meet up right away. I got my car, drove to the hotel, and then drove down to meet him. We decided to meet over a shoulder and bicep workout. We tore it up and got some business done. We then went to a restaurant and he ordered. Not me, I come prepared with a tupperware of Tilapia and asparagus and a handful of almonds--YEAH BUDDY! I did drink a ton of Diet Coke though. :)

Since we met for hours, I decided to just attend the expo today since Saturday is the main day anyway. I came back to the hotel, did a couple of hours of work, picked some food up to cook at Kroger, and then CRASHED! I slept for 45 minutes before my phone started blowing up. I had more office work then I thought and at around 6:30pm, a message board go'er named Mike called and we met up at 7pm to TRAIN again for me! We did a full chest a trap workout. I had amazing strength considering the length of my day and the fact that I hit shoulders earlier that day!

After that, we went to eat and he ordered. Not me--tupperware with fish and asparagus--YEAH BUDDY!

Finally, back to the hotel, three hours of paperwork and email answering, and then sleep at 12:30am. It is now 5am and I am ready to rock the expo. I will go to the gym for some cardio and MAYBE some weights. I was supposed to workout with Mike again, but I think I am going to get an early start as soon as my fish is done cooking.

Hard work is the key to everything in life!
 
I'm impressed with the last photos. As well as the way you keep your gym time and diet consistent on the road.
 
I am under five weeks out!

My buddies in Texas, Prince and Mike, are putting on the Heart of Texas in Plano the week before the Mountaineer and I have access to a professional photographer out there for a photoshoot. I am in! Thus, five weeks to go! Here is my update FIVE YEAH BUDDY WEEKS OUT!!!!

I did back and triceps Saturday at 5am before some meetings. I then had an interview with POSEDOWN magazine and went to the expo. Due to flying and everything, Chuck wanted to SHOCK me and do the carb meal the 4th day (tonight), not the 3rd. Thus, this brutha is FLAT!

When I came home, it was AWESOME to see my little baby, Kami. But she was pissed! She threw a fit when I got home because I left! I almost cried. Then, my wife went to Costco and I mowed the lawn and by the time she got back, I had showered and my baby loved me again. We played and cuddled for a couple of hours. It was the happiest I have ever been.

I woke up this morning and I now weigh 175 and veins and cuts are getting stupidly insane. I feel awesome and from what I hear, the Heart of Texas is won on conditioning--OH YEAH!

I just did my 1.5hrs cardio, slammed down some albacore, spinach and almond butter and am ready to ATTACK some shoulders and traps. I am drinking 2 gallons of clean fresh water + 1 gallon mixed with 12 scoops Xtend during WO everyday this week with no other beverages so that my body can start getting used to the extra water (3 total gallons). I added in canned tuna for the sodium because I NEED it with all the sweating from the heat and water I drink. It is also YUMMY AS HELL!

The game is on. The video shoot is two weeks away and my journey to the pros begins on September 15 now. Put on your headband and sound the trumpet, it is BATTLE TIME--YEAH BUDDY!
 
With your personality you should do great in a photo shoot. Your definition is great everywhere, as well as vascularity.

Thats sweet about your little girl. You should do a shoot with her.

176 post carb meal (down 0.5 from day after last carb meal) and I am gaining strength! No way you say? YES WAY! The fluke is not a fluke--I did 315 for 15 reps on deadlifts and ROCKED the rest of my workout. I am not 100%, but I am still making it happen and GAINING LBM (I hope!) while at a LOW bodyfat level. This is my workout:

1.5hrs cardio in AM

Deadlifts
ROWS
Lat Pulldowns
Front Cable Pulldowns
Low Rows
Rope Pulldowns
Hammer Low Rows

Calves and abs x 5 sets (25 rep calves, 15 rep abs)


I have been doing 45 minutes of cardio in the evening too for thinking and destressing. Diet is ON POINT!

Time to GROW AND GET LEAN at the same time with the CUT DIET AND TEAM SCIVATION!
 
Last night, I did 1 hour of cardio in the HEAT...NICE!

Today I woke up, did my 1.5 hours of cardio and ate some chow, got some bidniss done, and met Lin to train. We MURDERED chest and got a killer pump. My strength is still there baby! We did some calves and abs as well. Check it out:

We killed it. I did my 1.5 hours of cardio and some POSING, ate, chugged some VasoCharge and crushed legs! I am stronger now than 6 weeks ago and used HEAVY weight for 15 rep sets! We did:

Leg Extensions
Leg Press up to 8 plates
V-squat
Leg Curls
Lunges holding 60lb DBs
tip-toe smith machine squats
CALVES

I will do some abs and posing tonight and then the PICS!


Thought Process of the Machine:

Today during training, Lin kept saying, "It is yours to take, no one will outwork you, leave nothing at the gym," during my sets. This fired me up. Now I know that NO ONE will outwork me and I will qualify for nationals in one of the shows and I am also confident that I can win the overall at one or more of them. I will not be outworked and I will be the most conditioned person on that stage. There will be no excuses. If it takes waking up at 1am to do cardio and eating Xtend and avocados only, I will do that. I will succeed. I work too damn hard to fail. Winning is the only option.

I owe it to my family and the great people here to get this done. My daughter NEEDS to see her Daddy set a goal and achieve it. It is the example I wish to set, and it will be done. I also need to prove that at Scivation, we practice what we preach. Start up the choir and sound the organ, it is time to reach the holy land.

Looking good it inspires me to keep going, I posted pics of me after 3 kids and I still don't like what I see. Gives me inspiration to keep my log up over here and fight harder for the body I want.

FOUR WEEKS UNTIL THE HEART OF TEXAS MEETS THE GLUTES OF LOBLINER!

I am so jacked! Yesterday was amazingly busy (and for that I am THANKFUL), so I didn't have a chance to catch up. This is a bit of a long winded one, so bear with it, I will be concise and bulleted.

--Training
Yesterday Lin and I did shoulders. I also did 1.5hrs of LI cardio in AM on Stubborn Fat Stack and Xtend cocktail and then did 1hr of LI cardio at 4pm with Dialene 4 and a scoop of vasocharge in me, and of course Xtend. Before training, I took vasocharge and Xtend and we blew it up! We did all of this for 2-3 set of 15 reps to failure:

Smith shoulder press
Behind back smith shrugs
db lateral raise
alternate "arm up" front raise
t-bar shrugs
Machine lateral raise DROPSET
Rear delt row
pec dec rear delt
Calves 3 sets of 25

Supplements:
Added in Konsyl--a PURE, concentrated psyllium supplement at 1 rounded teaspoon with meal 2 at ~9:30am and with meal 6. Most will not have trouble on the Cut Diet with all of the veggies, and I don't REALLY either. But some might know that I had some issues occur when I used to powerlift that have been known to come back. I HAVE NOT had any issues since Primaforce came out with Cissus, as Cissus has been shown to dramatically decrease hemorhoid inflamation. But with respect to prevention, this is a good insurance move to make IMO.


The BIG Deal:
On September 2, I start the first long-term run of Scivation's new night time sleep formula. This is very exciting and if Chuck and Derek are right and I can enhance the LITTLE sleep I get, I could very well get some SICK results even at my stage in dieting. I always post pics, so you guys can be the judge. I expect to have this on the market in six to eight weeks, but from the experiences I have had with it so far, it is very effective and WORTH THE WAIT. I know it works for its MAIN purpose, but what I want to do starting on September 2 is see for myself if enhanced sleep will actually lead to appreciable gains even when in a caloric deficit, training HARD, and not having much time for sleep.

September 2 is the day that the new Scivation product meets its toughest critic, the OWNER! :)


TODAY:
I have arms at 8am and cardio again tonight. I weighed a nice 175 this morning and now my abs are so veiny and my body is so lean that my wife finds me more disgusting than usual. This is EVERY husband's dream come true. :) She also says I stink bad, so this can be from hitting slight ketosis or just from all of the cardio and lifting. Regardless, thank Goodness I already got her pregnant before this stage in the diet. The ultimate birth control is to be smelly and disgusting looking to your partner. I am like a walking Trojan Condom wearing spermicide cologne.


My mother in law is here from CA. so I will try and post later if we're done decorating and doing what people do when in-laws are in town. Until next time, keep it lean and mean and drink Xtend.

HOLY COW! I not only am more shredded than ever but I am also breaking lifting records! I hit 325 x 15 on deadlifts! I am so freaking pumped! This is also after 1.5 hours of AM cardio. I was assisted though....by Xtend and Vasocharge--YEAH BUDDY! Here is the session:

After that, I tanned and off to work! Derek and I are starting our water deplete for the video shoot in seven days so I have started with the three gallons of water trick and will start salting tomorrow. This does not include the ~1 gallon I chug during training either. I am peeing a lot, LOL.

I have also switched my fat sources to ALL oils other than my carb meal for digestion purposes. I alternate oils every meal. Here are my choices:

Macadamia Nut Oil
Olive Oil
Smart Balance Oil
Enova Oil
Flax Oil

This feels awesome and my stomach has shrunk so much that this makes easier to eat all of my food. I also LOVE the taste of these oils with Mrs. Dash on top--YUM!

Chuck is also experimenting by replacing 1 serving of fat with 1 serving of protein in meals 3 and 5. He wants to see what will happen and I predict SHRED!

Cardio tonight and it is GAME TIME! YEAH BUDDY!
 
I just did my 1.5hrs of cardio and scarfed down meal one. Three gallons of water today coming down NOT counting the gallon from WO Nutrition, so four total. I seem to get that much liquid in anyway regularly between water, coffee and diet soda so it is no big deal. My diet has changed a bit with 1 serving of fat being replaced with one serving of protein in meals three and five. With the use of oils, my GI tract has been awesome! I didn't think one day with the macro switch Chuck did would amount to squat, but low and behold, today I am 174.4 while salting food and vascular! I feel great! Here is the diet:

Workout Nutrition = 12 scoops Xtend

Meal 1 5 oz Fish
1/2 cup steamed asparagus
2 oz Avocado or 2 tsp macadamia oil/flax oil/enova oil/olive oil/smart balance oil 35g protein, 10g fat, 5g carbs

1 oz Avocado or 1 tsp macadamia oil/flax oil/enova oil/olive oil/smart balance oil

I thought the Cut Diet was tough to follow during my 12 week cut, but man, limiting yourself to fish and aspargus only. I can only say your truly hardcore. Good Luck
 
175.5 this morning with a pound of water on me, and AB VEINS! Carb Meal tonight so this should be nasty! I am on the 5th day out in the Cut Diet peak weak but since I have MANY events, training is unchanged. WEAK POINT yesterday was full of rest pause and all that jazz, and here is what I did all for 2-3 sets of 15 to failure--I got 15 even if rest-pauses were required.

You might be thinking, “What in the hell is a GORGE-MEAL?!” It is actually a term that we coined for when strict diets allow for a planned all-out cheat fest to occur on a set day every week in the diet. While the time between cheats might vary, it appears to be a weekly thing for the most part on most diets that advocate this practice. While some of you might have read our guide on how to cheat in the article Cheaters Always Prosper, in this article we will make a case as to why we feel that PLANNED gorges are not healthy and that if long-term overall health is your goal, the unplanned cheat or scheduled clean refeed is the way to go. If you’re interested in building the body of your dreams and KEEPING it your entire life, read on. Team Scivation has some knowledge-gum for you to chew on…

Here is the bottom line: A lot of people involved in physique-enhancement sports like bodybuilding, including US, have some form of mental issues. We have seen mostly low self esteem and body dysmorphia and an “all or nothing” approach at dieting and lifestyle. People with eating disorders are also prime candidates for the fitness industry and dieting in general (or overdieting). At Scivation, we preach healthy lifestyle modifications with food choices, calorie control and insulin control being top on the list. The most extreme diet we have, The Showtime Game Over Cut Diet, even controls insulin when refeeding, thus providing a safe and healthy way to replenish glycogen stores and stimulate thyroid function. But when not on this diet or getting ready for a show, we are all about occasional cheat meals. These should be fun and spontaneous…and yummy!

The issue that arises in our opinion is when you have a planned GORGE. This means the standard Saturday-night carb, fat and sodium orgy that a lot of diets these days recommend after a week of strict, hardcore dieting. This cannot be psychologically healthy. You are basically telling yourself that dieting is suffering and if you get through it, you can stuff yourself like a pig. You look forward all week to that meal. It beckons for you. And then you wake up the next day and feel like you just got punched in the stomach repeatedly by a gang of ninja-midgets.

Here are some downfalls to the binge mentality:

• Dieting is Suffering: We need to look at food as fuel and we need to learn to enjoy the foods we eat most often or find a new way to prepare them so that they can be enjoyed and will not hamper our diet goals. By having a planned binge, you are essentially tricking your mind into thinking that “healthy” food is nasty, but at the end you get to reward yourself with grease and cake and pie.
• Post Binge Depression: You will not like how you look the next morning most of the time. I can recall gaining ten pounds post-binge once. Sure, it might have been mostly water, but it still made he feel horrible until it subsided….two days later! Forget the beach, unless I was trying to be a whale!
• Social Eating is FUN!: If you have a planned cheat on Saturday and you have a party to go to on Friday, do you ruin the fun of the party and the FREE FOOD and eat packed chicken and green beans and wait until your Saturday cheat meal that happens to be a day when no one can join you? This is where a fun cheat meal comes into play!
• If Competing, Forget the Cheating: If you plan step onstage in eight weeks or less, just don’t cheat. It is as simple as that.



But When Can I Cheat?

On any diet but the Showtime Cut Diet, once or twice a week is fine. Even the Lifestyle Cut Diet allows for cheats. When you cheat is entirely up to you. We look at cheat meals as a chance to live normally and enjoy food with friends and family, and there is most definitely a physiological benefit to these, such as thyroid stimulation and many other cool things. Cheat meals are psychologically rewarding as well. Why ruin the beauty of NOT thinking about what to eat by planning to NOT think about what you eat? It doesn’t make much sense to us!


Live large and live lean, but live healthy. By having the right outlook on life and physique improvement, you can develop the body and mindset of your dreams. In essence, you can have you cake and eat it too….and it won’t be planned!
 
Today was an AWESOME chest day. We killed it and I went to failure on EACH SET to make sure I got all 15 reps. Can you believe this is PEAK WEEK?

I did not do cardio last night. I am only going to do AM Fasted cardio from now on because I am there man! Today, I did my 1.5hrs LI cardio and then KILLED legs. We did a super leg press day, you'll love this! We do our prescribed reps, then hold it at top for a count of five, then do our next group. Check it out!
