We've definitely got enough players. Though I'm still trying to think of the best way to go about doing this, here's what I got:

Possibility #1
- You can only compete in ONE EXERCISE.
- We'll split up into different threads for each specific exercise and compete with each other from there.

Possibility #2
-We'll compete in several exercises (seems like this is gonna be Dips, Presses, and deadlifts). The winner would be based on overall improvement.

For dips, I've done
BW + 190 for 5 reps
BW + 205 for 2 reps

BW was about 210 when I did that. Haven't tried any heavier lately. I was just kidding about the Drone's worth, but maybe one day.

My dips pr = my old body weight + 145 (total of 370 at the time for 6)

7 weeks sounds good. What do you want to do, max, x3, x5? I would suggest that we determine our 3rm within the next few days, and then see who makes the most improvement by Sept 1?

Well, I tried 315 for 3 today and failed miserably. If it's okay, though, I'd like to use 315 as my 3RM since that is the best I've ever done (I've failed at 320 so it truly is my 3RM). I like to keep moving forward.

Basically powerlifting equipment used mostly to increase the amount of weight lifted and at the same time provide a bit of protection to the joints that one wouldn't receive lifting raw. Here's the equipment I use:

well if were going for improvements id have to choose flat bench.... honestly i havnt touched it in forever (prob 3 years), been sticking to DB's.... but i only weighed 175 when i was 19 and did 275 3 times..... i have no clue what i could do nowadays specially with my new supplementing (the previous record was made with NO2 and creatine alone).....

i weigh 187 right now @ 5'10"
will have a gym instructor hwlp me 1RM on bench tomorrow to see where i stand
anyone wanna take me on in a 3 week improvement?
and then a double or nothin chance 1-2 weeks again after that?

ill get video too with my digi... damn i need a lifting partner.

I'm using a version 5x5 by Starr and Pendlay where you stick with 5x5 for 4 weeks then 3x3 for 5 weeks. I've altered it a little and am doing some strongman training on Sundays, but I basically do incline on Friday normally. Everythings a little out of whack right now since I have a contest this Sunday.

When you do the 5x5, do you stick with the same weight, leaving reps in the tank in the early sets, or do you lower the weight slightly each set? Do you always do inclines or do you switch to something else occasionally? Where were you born? How are your parents doing? Kidding about the last two, but that was a lot of questions I just asked:lol:

The events are keg load, tire flip and sled pull meddley, log press, and 18 inch deadlift (most likely my worst event, :nutkick:, for you deadlift monsters). It should be a small contest, but fun and a good starter. MW is 230, and I'm a little undersized at 215 but as tenacious and hungry as '03 Wandy :twisted:.

Cool. Thanks. O.K., I did 335 for 3 on incline. Actually got 4, but the 4th was a contortion act, and not healthy for my front delts. So it's on. Good luck on Sunday man.

sounds gooooood. redwolfwv i think is gonna join in on that one too he said he may be down over in chads thread, i say we get a 3 way battle goin and the winner gets to choose both others avis.... nice?
 
so im goin to the gym in a couple hours and see what my max is, im afraid it'll be low... but im doin 100lb db's for sets of 10 so i better be able to do at least 260, 250.... we'll see.

At 360ng/dl testosterone, no thyroid and other health issues the best I could do at a natural 5'7" 155lbs:

205lbs bench
170lbs clean and press 6-7 reps
~300lbs deadlift
660lbs incline leg-press for 7reps (all the way down)

Sadly, took me over 2yrs to get there, we'll see how I do on TRT and thyroid meds.. So far training is nearly impossible with just the T4.
 
All right fellas heres my official starting for 1RM progression contest(done across 3 weeks with 2 week following rematch), now i didnt get video but had to get the front desk guy to even help me out for a spot so obviously it would be even tougher to get someone to actually record it...... any who its obvious below i aint lying cause i could easily say i am startin @ 265 like RedwolfWV but heres what i got tonight...

build up to 1RM flat bench
135 x10 (warm up)
225 x2
245 x1
275 x1
295 x1

so my official starting 1RM is 295 guys
i currently weigh 190 exactly so if we want we can do it by percentage of body weight lifted and finishing percentage increase by the end (in case you guys or i lose weight it would be benificial percentage wise)

OR

we can go for all out total poundage added regardless of starting 1RM weight or body weight% comparedto lifting.....

sorry, is that too confusing, ya guys in?
