Ribose and timing.

I like Ribose, and from what I've been reading up on in research for performance as well as longevity its got a good track record, I started taking it again after six years and the results so far have been good to go, my lifts are up as well as my overall energy has been improved, I do have one question and hopefully any fellow AM members can follow up. Ribose, from my understanding is a sugar ( looking at my supplement facts it says 1 scoop is 2grms of D-Ribose, 9 calories with sugar being at 2.2 grams ) does this in any way dissipate the effects of stim's and how would someone go about timing this, for example something like RPM.

Here's why I brought up the topic initially, I was on duty for 10 hours yesterday...generally on my no w/o days I'll sometime take RPM first thing in the morning ( especially when I'm doing long shifts, the stuff kicks ass for focus, cognition and at the same time a euphoric type of buzz ) I took 3 rpm's and then I waited about 15 minutes and I took 5 grams of ribose....about an hour went by and I'm thinking to myself hmmmm....*not feeling the RPM* and then I realized that Ribose is a sugar, didn't feel the rpm one bit that day and so that had me thinking is D-ribose that effective at blunting the response of stimulants ? overall I just messed up the timing as well as I'm just gonna just use around 2-3 grams of Ribose just for overall health.

Timed the Ribose with the RPM about 60 minutes apart just to experiment, took 5 grms of Ribose and waited and then took 3 RPM, about 75 minutes later I got that RPM "Buzz" I so much love ....I know, that's kind of corny :ntome:
