Recomping with SNS Beta Alanine, Magnesium Creatine Chelate, & Arginine Ethyl Ester

First Upper Body Workout

I didn't realize how exhausting a full upper body workout would be (I've never really done one), but I finished in about one hour.

Strength is definitely up. When I went to warm up with push ups (with no weight), it was kind of odd how much easier they felt. I only did 20 to warm up for the weighted push ups, but I felt like I could have gotten to at least 45-50. With the 50lb backpack I was able to get 8 reps on the first set and then 5-7 on the next 4.

Another good indicator was the pullup negatives. As I've mentioned, I cannot do one single pull up with an overhand grip. I was able to lower myself in a slower and more controlled fashion than in the past. When I first started doing this, I would pretty drop in the process of trying to perform a negative.

I was also able to increase db shoulder presses to 40lb db's for 8 reps on each set.

I decided to up the weight for ez-barbell curls also on the last two sets. I managed to get 60lbs (+the bar?) for 3 reps and a 1RM of 75lbs (+bar). It's a Cap barbell (not Olympic size ends); I'm guessing it weighs around 10lbs, though.

It was a workout where I hated my life for a short time, lol, but I was definitely able to see some results.

^^^ good to hear bro. keep it up!

I get used to it after about a week and dont notice it anymore, but everyone is different.
I've talked to quite a few people who still get the parathesia after dosing it for a while. If I had to guess, I'd say it persists for about 1/3 the people I have talked to.
damn .. increase your water intake ..still ?

i hated BA first time i took it .. felt like a crack head lol
I know exactly what you mean. Water is plenty high and I dose it with high carb meals to help "blunt" the parathesia.

The only product that gave me parathesia for a prolonged amount of time was Clout- I'm not sure why though, as I've dosed it higher that that before.
LJ57 i sent your package out today

Thanks a lot, mw1! The combination of Agmatine/AEE/MCC should ddefinitely be interesting.

I remember going through a tub of Purple Wraath years ago, which has 1.6g of Beta Alanine, and it seems like the effects started to let up within a few weeks. I was only taking one serving per day, though, and I would sip it pretty slowly throughout a workout. I know 2 caps (1.5g) of SNS BA is much more potent to me than the Purple Wraath, so I'm guessing it's all in the dosage and timing. I imagine if I opened up two caps and dissolved them in a drink, then I could sip it for a few hours with minimal parasthesia.

yeah give it a shot, im not sure how it'll mix though .. i uncap all types of stuff in my focusXT

for me 2 feel that BA rush, id prolly have to dose +3G ..been thru so many pre workouts, it doesnt fade me no more

i love the BA tingles makes me feel great!

Beta Alanine Dosing Experimentation

Beta Alanine Drink Experiment

I went ahead and gave this a try. I emptied 2 caps into a 16 oz. glass of water. It is almost completely tasteless Most of it seemed to dissolve although there was a very small amount that remained at the bottom. I have so far sipped about three-fourths of it over the course of about 6 hours. There have been absolutely ZERO side effects in terms of parathesia. And normally taking one cap would be enough to get the sides. I think for me at least sipping on BA in water may be the best way to go. It's nice to be able to take an effective amount without the parathesia effects!

I will mix up another 2-cap serving this afternoon.

nice, i dare you to triple dose it one day and take them all at once...:mischievous:...see what happens...

I have taken the full dose of BA, and the side effects were intense. Even one-third of the full dose (1 cap) gives me side effects when it hits all at once.

By mixing it in water and sipping on it, I was able to take 3 grams today without any side effects whatsoever. No tingling sensations at all. I think this is the best way of taking it for me--slowly throughout the day. And my understanding of BA is that it's about getting the carnosine levels maximized, so how much you take pre-workout isn't a big issue. I can get 3,750-4,500mg per day without the parathesia with a very slow release.

Training -I may have to rethink this upper/lower splt. My recovery from working the entire upper body is slower than expected and I am still sore. I ended up taking a couple of days off and just managed to hot legs tonight. I've noticed that regardless of training volume, my muscles recover like this :

Chest - about 5-6 days to recover regardless of volume, exercises, etc.
Back - about 4-5 days before all soreness is gone
Arms - they rarely get sore, even with high volume or heavy weight, and even then they recover (or at least soreness is gone) within 2 days.
Shoulders - usually get somewhat sore but recover in about two days like arms
Legs - about 5 days

It seems like my smaller muscle groups can handle 2 times per week but not legs, back, and chest.

My strength is overall way up (numbers on lifts going up), as well as muscular endurance, but I would have to say recovery ability in terms of time is not going to let me hit the larger muscle groups twice a week. I will have to revise my training so I can hit the larger muscles just once per week. I'm going to hit legs tonight (and a day late), and then revise training for next week.

So far progress seems good, though :

Beta Alanine I seem to have the dosing down now, and I can take it without the sides as long as I mix it in liquid and sip it slowly.

Arginine Ethyl Ester - It's hard to tell in terms of pump, since a) I'm still around 20% bf, and b) I'm lifting in the heavier rep range right now.

Magnesium Creatine Chelate - So far I believe this, along with the Beta Alanine is greatly enhancing my strength. I have been lifting heavy, and the weight on all of the lifts has gone up.

Training : I can't decide if I will take it the day off or not; sinus problems from the drastic weather change has had me feeling pretty bad all day. Regardless, I plan to switch from the upper/lower to something like a push/pull/legs routine. Most of my muscle groups need an extra day or two of recovery.

Supplements : It's safe to say that I should never have to worry about parathesia again as long as I continue sipping B-A instead of taking it by caps. For anyone else who gets these tingling sensations (and doesn't like it) , I would highly recommend trying this method. A slower delivery of even significant quantities of B-A can pretty much completely eliminate side effects--at least for me.

So far strength and endurance are way up, but I have to find a way to train optimally while recovering optimally.

* I will probably end up posting some pics in a few weeks. I took some before pics but decided not to post them at the start of the log. Considering that I can see major changes looking in the mirror, I will probably post those up for comparison.

Good to see the improvements and finding out the loophole to avoid BA sides .. Will def try that sometimes :)

This is definitely worth a try! I was having doubts about continuing the Beta Alanine due to the sides. I have a huge tub of 501 caps, and I didn't want to have to eliminate all these from the log. Now I can take the gram quantities needed without any tingling whatsoever. I guess tiny amounts at a time is the key here.

Many thanks to mw1, who mailed me some Agmatine to incorporate into this log! Tonight will be an arm workout, so it will be the perfect time to gauge the synergy of AEE and Agmatine!

So 2 caps of Agmatine and 4 caps of AEE prior to workout...is this the best dosing protocol?

No problem- I like 4 caps of Agmatine one hour prior to workout.

Went ahead and took 4 caps of Agmatine and 3 caps of AEE along with 3 caps of MCC 45 minutes before workout. Returned to heavy work with the arms : barbell curls, hammer curls, tricep pressdowns, and tricep extensions.

Strength and muscular endurance are still great! Strength on triceps seemed to be about the same, but biceps have improved for the second week in a row. I'm guessing this primarily results from the MCC/BA combination.

There was definitely a good pump, but it's difficult to say of it's greater than AEE alone. Being around 20-25% bf, it's sometimes hard to gauge that visually. They did some hard and tight, though--kind of like a wound up ball in each arm.

A few more days on Agmatine will hopefully give me a better idea.

Sounds great bruther, let your body get used to the Agmatine and you'll see ;)
Sorry I've been missing for a while, been crazy busy over Christmas / New Years.
Keep killing it!

I've been on the sidelines for the last two days with whatever respiratory bug is going around. I feel better today, but I have virtually no energy to even get off the couch. I'm hoping I can resume training tomorrow. I have been taking the BA, but I have left off the AEE, MCC, and Agmatine for the last two days.

Get well bruther & rest up good :)

Thanks CC! I am aiming to get back to it today. I didn't have the flu or anything, but whatever this bug was left me with bad occipital muscle pain in the neck. I've always had this occasional pain with sinus problems--I'm pretty much a walking barometer, and weather changes can give me headaches and muscle aches sometimes. At least my energy is back up enough to train again.

Thanks mw1!

Strength was great tonight, but I had to take it easy on working the back. I still have that occipital tension, which also causes a headache. Traps are going to be impossible until this gets better. I have some weird muscle tension/aches sometime, usually resulting from weather changes. I'm one of those so-called "human barometers." I can get these aches just from changes in the air pressure for some reason.

I hit chest with weighted push ups, db pullovers, and flyes. Chest is definitely stronger. I struggled with bodyweight push ups at first (about a month and a half ago), but I am now hitting 8-10 reps with 50lbs in the backpack. And with 60lb on the dbs (the most I can fit on the adjustable db's), I will have to start using the EZ bar to get more weight.

I felt like the pull up negatives were really gonna aggravate the neck aches, so I just went with 4 sets of rows (40lb db's for 10 reps) and called it a night.

I'm happy that two of my favorite exercises, db pullovers and weighted push ups, will have to be essentially replaced due to not being able to add weight. Strength is obviously up, even after several days of being sick and parked on the couch!

Supplements

As I mentioned previously, I have only been taking the BA over the last few days while sick. I took 2 caps of Agmatine, 4 caps of AEE, and 4 caps of MCC about an hour pre-workout. The strength increases from the MCC, BA, and AEE are apparent tonight. As for pump, I feel like the pump in my chest was great. Chest day is not the best indicator, though, because the pecs have always been the muscle group that seems to get the maximum pump, as well as the most soreness. (it's always the last to recover, too)

Arms+Shoulders tomorrow, so that should be another good time to test out the Agmatine/AEE duo!

Sounds great bruther. Glad you are feeling better. Hit them shoulders and arms real good :)

I noticed tonight that my arms are becoming a lot more defined. I'm sure this is the combination of the pump from Agmatine/AEE, as well as the definite increase in LBM and gradual loss of body fat.

Strength is still going up. I didn't up my weight/reps/sets for barbell curls tonight, but I could definitely notice a greater ease. Same for tricep pressdowns.

I also started using grip training about two weeks ago using the COC grips. My strength has gone up in that short time. I started off with the #1's (about 140lbs), and I am almost in need of ordering a new one to work with.

The increase in strength is probably helped by the fact that I was able to find a way to take BA in higher doses without the sides. Right now I am consuming 4-6 caps per day mixed in water and sipped periodically. That and the MCC.

Strength in legs (quads/glutes) is definitely up. Lunges are at about 70lbs.and I can't even increase them much more than that with the db's I have.

Strength in grip - drastically increased in a very short of time.

I can already feel legs/glutes getting sore from last night. I worked them pretty hard and with a good bit of volume : lunges, hip thrusts, sumo squats, and sldl's.

Although my strength is way up, I do feel that I require a little bit more time to recover these days. I think this is probably due to the increasingly heavy lifts and relatively high level of volume. I often need more of a day on-day off approach these days.

^^^Sounds VERY good ! How may reps are you doing with the lunges? Perhaps you could just add more reps since you dont have dbs over 70

Thanks mw1!I got about 7-8 reps on each leg with lunges for five sets. I use adjustable db's, so I guess I could always buy some that would allow me to add more weight. I might look into that!

I'm about to do a deload week in the hopes of enhancing recovery and strength. I will probably go very light and low volume. My strength is WAY up since I started taking the BA/MCC/AEE/Agmatine!

Grip strength is way up and in a very short amount of time.
Chest strength is way up as my weighted backpack is now too light to remain in the single digit rep range. I hit 10 whereas I could only do 5 before hitting failure.
Barbell curls are up around 10 lbs
Quads/glutes are much stronger. I am going to need to buy new adjustable db's if I'm going to continue. I can put six 10lb plates on each one, and I am able to get 6 reps on each leg.

I've been reading up on deloading vs. taking a week off, and I think I will do the deload.

Very nice feedback bruther! Glad you've seen some impressive gains on this stack

And good choice on the deload. I can't stay away from the gym if I have to take a week or two off. I always end up hitting the weights hard either way :D

Thanks, CC! I'm going to put up a final review of this today, so I ca summarize everything over the past 30 days. This is a GREAT stack for strength, and I have made some major gains despite being sick for several days throughout. I still have a lot of Beta Alanine left, so I am going to continue using this.

First of all, thanks to SNS for letting me log some great products : Beta Alanine (BA), Magneisum Creatine Chelate (MCC), and Arginine Ethyl Ester (AEE).

And a special thanks to mw1, who was kind enough to mail me some SNS Agmatine to add in to this stack. There are some really kind and helpful forum members here, and mw1 is proof of that!

Beta Alanine I f you followed this log, you know that I almost quit using this due to the tingling sides. Even one cap would cause this, as it does with many others. I did find out that I could take an almost unlimited amount of Beta Alanine by emptying the capsules into a drink. I started off with water, then later added to lemonade. By sipping on it throughout the day, I could get a slow release of BA which allowed me to get an effective clinical dose with no sides whatsoever. If you have trouble taking the full dose, I would highly recommend giving this a try. This product can be found around $30 for a massive tub of 501 caps, and it's very easy and cost effective to empty a couple of capsules in a bottle of water (or flavored drink) and sip throughout the day.

Magnesium Creatine Chelate I love this form of creatine, and it's about the only one that is known to effectively increase strength gain without any GI side effects whatsoever. And from my own personal experience it works better than any of the others I have tried such as Monohydrate, Gluconate, and CEE.

Arginine Ethyl Ester I never really used a lot of NO products except for the proprietary blend garbage like NO-Xplode and SuperPump. I really started to feel like I was noticing the pump from this product around the end of the bottle. I think this was mainly due to the fact that I was losing fat and could finally start to see some vascularity. And also, I was doing strictly heavy weight at the beginning. The addition of Agmatine seemed to enhance the feeling of tightness and hardness in the muscle, especially when upping the volume and going into a higher rep range.

Highlights

Chest - An initial idea I had to use a weighted backpack (with two 25 lb. plates) has been rendered almost useless. Training at home, I often have to resort to tactics like this. It's too easy now to get 10 reps, although I started this by going to failure around 4-5 reps.

Grip Strength - I bought a Coc grip --a #1 at 140 lbs-- to improve grip strength. I could barely close this thing once when I first got it. Now I can completely close it for 8-10 reps for 5+ sets. I'm looking into getting some new ones now.

Biceps - Strength went up on barbell curls and the definition in my biceps is noticeable for the first time in years. I can also notice vascularity in the forearms that was not visible a month ago.

Shoulders - I use db shoulder presses as my primary exercise, and I was able to increase the weight I use to 40lbs, which is a weight I have never been able to use for more than 2-3 reps in the past. I can see and feel a size increase as well.

Conclusion - More often than not when I win or get the opportunity to log products, I do so and then never use them again. Not so with these products. SNS has definitely picked up a loyal customer in me. I have already ordered a 240 cap bottle of MCC for just $14.70, a product I plan to use permanently from now on. I also ordered a bottle of Reduce Xt for just $27.99, which I plan to use in a future stack for summer cutting. SNS products get consistently good ratings, and after running some of them in this log, I can definitely see why.

Thank you for the feedback, and I am glad that you enjoyed the products.

We plan on continueing to expand our line in the very near future, and just introduced our new DAA caps yesterday.

i too loved the MCC!
good job brother

Thanks again LJ57 for the review! We really appreciate :)
