Quick Question about BULKING.

I was using the diet tracker to see what my macros look like and I'm really high on fat. Around 40 percent. I know a basic bulking diet is about 50% carbs, 30% protein, and 20% fat. My question is does this apply to everyone? Especially ectos. I drink lots of whole milk, half and half, coconut oil. It's just easier to get those calories that way. How close should I try to get those numbers?

whole milk does bump the fat up quite a bit, i don't worry about it. as long as your getting in a good amount of whole food i wouldn't worry.

those amounts are to keep you from getting too fat while on a bulk. my fat intake is around 40 as well.

good point. as low as 2g of trans fat can lower your testosterone levels. for me, that, sugar and salt are the only things i avoid.

That is crazy. I did not know trans fats lower testosterone.
I avoid trans fats like herpes. Not that I avoid herpes on a daily basis but you get the point. I avoid sugar and salt when I can but it's impossible to totally avoid it all the time.

I don't think he meant 40% of his daily diet was trans fats. You get good fats aswell :)

Yea,that 40 percent is all the fat. I eat moderate amounts of olive oil, nuts, and peanut butter. I'm pretty sure a majority of that is from whole milk and eggs.

2) At the same time they raise the level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), a form of cholesterol associated with increased cardiovascular disease. In that effect they act similarly to saturated fat; however, the increase with trans fat is double that of saturated fat. In a total of nine out of 10 trials trans fat also increased the level of lipoprotein(a) in the blood, a substance that acts similarly to LDL in promoting cardiovascular disease. Trans fats also increase the plasma level of total cholesterol and triglycerides, both of which are risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Another study found that trans fats increase total cholesterol levels by inhibiting the breakdown of cholesterol in the body.2

5) Studies done with rats show that trans fats may decrease serum testosterone levels while increasing the amount of abnormal sperm production.
