Sometimes we have to fight through things, but we shall overcome if we keep up the good fight. I join in prayer with you all, to magnify our alliance in God. He hears our prayers, and He takes care of His own. ;)

I really like that verse how Jude exhorts the brethren, and considering that time when there was persecution.Remember Peter was crucified, and James was beheaded, although I am not referring to it in a chronological event, just that it was a stressful time to say the least.
He still brought the word to them, and the message which has traveled down throughout the ages to reach us, and to speak to our hearts that there is a Hope in Christ Jesus, that he is our Redeemer.
As a side note, he never said the ride would be smooth, but thats what Faith is my friends, accepting and believing with all your heart, and knowing it to be true.
Friends I am really glad we can all fellowship together in this space and edify and exhort one another in the name of Jesus.

Hi guys,

I'm not very religious as of the past few years on account of one of my best friends being killed but I just wanted to ask you guys to keep my in your prayers.

I graduated in May of last year and have yet to find a career w/ my degree (public health) or have any success with any other career jobs I have applied for. I also am a father now to a beautiful little girl (born on Nov. 23rd), which adds some stress but I'm doing the best I can:). I have recently had my hours cut to one day at my 3rd shift job at a grocery store bc they became aware I was looking for another job with my degree. So since they don't like it I've been given one day a week by my manager, he's a jerk but whatever.

All whining aside, I just would like it if you all could keep me in your prayers/thoughts. I just really need something to work out very quickly.

Whew, that feels better to get that out, I don't usually ask for anything much less for people to pray for me.

You are being built up for something that God has in store for you, and being a dad is no easy task considering the stress levels that we experience AND endure.
I said a prayer for you and will continue praying.
Do you feel you have exhausted all avenues for a job in your career? Can you leverage what you have learned into something else, or is the employment market not good at all?

I think I could possibly find a job in another field but that hasn't worked out well so far either. A lot of healthcare jobs are not offered right now bc they are funded by the government and since things are the way they are with the economy they have to find out how much money they will get to hire new people. I want to get my masters bc that would help me but I need to find a job that can help me pay for it.

The market is garbage right now in general tho and I honestly think that having a degree is hurting me bc people think I'm gonna leave as soon as I find a job with my degree.

Praying for you and hope you get a good job..you will definitely need it with a little one around..trust me I have 3 strapping boys..lol...I'll pray all works out for you...

This may be the part of the problem n8te. Our prayers will help but you need to seek the Lord yourself.

I meant I'm not religious as far as going to church and throwing my hands up when I sing hymns. And I still have questions about things that the bible says. I do believe in God but He and I had an issue when my friend died and thats when I stopped going to church. I still believe in Him I'm just done hearing that my friend "is in a better place" when he was engaged to be married in 6 months and had his whole life in front of him.

I do pray, but I just don't like the attitude of many of the churches around here (bible belt) and that's why I'm not involved in church. I find it interesting that so many churches in my area are so judgmental and closed to younger members. I went to a christian school from 6th grade until I graduated and the amazing amount of hypocrisy I saw turned me away from God for a while. In college I came to Him. I'm just not very flamboyant, which seems to be what many people around here are when discussions turn to God.

I understand. I wasn't judging you by no means. I also no longer go to church due to the fact that the Catholic Church is soooo repetitive and never use the bible for anything. I'm in need of something new. I do read the Bible, say my prayers, and confess my sins every night.

God has a plan for everything. I'd try to keep visiting a different church each week until you find one you like, and also, God calls us to be servants, not to sit around and be self serving, but to serve others. Whatever that may be to you, become active in something that helps others, I think alot of people miss out on this (myself included) and can become closer to God by doing what he calls us to do.

Yea I inquired about that a few months ago. I was simply told "no". Something will work out soon I'm sure I was able to get a few resumes to more people today so I'm hopefull

Thank you BlueHealer, those words are very uplifting and humbling, I was whining and whimpering and had bad bad thoughts about some people and situations that I cannot control.
I am comforted knowing God is in control and all in His Time.

Alright fellas, so I got a call from a buddy that I graduated with, they are hiring two people in his department. They are posting internally so I won't be able to apply until after the 30th of this month. He's been trying to get me in the organization for a while now so I hope it works out, I would have to move but my daughter would be able to move with me if everything works out:):). I hope this works out because I would like to use my degree. If I don't get it then I'll probably join the state troopers. My next door neighbor was very high up and has been trying to get me to join for a while now. Please keep praying for me guys I really really do appreciate it.

100% true bro.

I thought I could see my faith grow by reading uplifting books, and seeing encouraging stories, which no doubt are good helpful things, but true faith will grow in the storms of life.
