Anyone with psoriasis using Poseidon?
I'm curious if it helps![]()
My wife has it. It runs in severity spurts for her and doctors really have no idea on how to help. There are things that make it slightly better from cortisone(sp?) shots when real sever to medicated creams at other times. Most of the time it is fairly mild.
I was planning on ordering Poseiden for myself for my next phase of training but hearing this now makes it even more relevant and I will have to buy double now to see if it gives her any relief. About 4 weeks ago she started another sever phase of it almost overnight. Very odd as there was no change in her diet, her normal routine, or anything else.
I have been trying to try things with her diet and such but nothing is working. I am going to place an order by the start of next week and will reply back with any news. Even if it gives here a little help that is more then anything is doing now.

ltysons wife is computer illiterate. Clearly.
 Just need to keep her away from this forum is all. It's probably just me..... I am sure the other guys she sleeps with like her just fine :chick: .
Quick update - the Poseidon should be at my door today if all goes right. Will get her started on it right away and give you all some feedback. I imagine it will take a good number of days for it to start to show any effects if at all but I will let you know.

Well great news, the Poseidon showed up late yesterday (got to love the one day shipping from NP). As soon as it arrived I of course had to open it and try my first dose- no niacin flush- mixed it with an ON chocolate protein shake made with skim milk. Could taste a slight change in the flavor of the drink but not too bad. (I am very picky about how things taste).
Wife was working last night so her first dose was this morning. She has a small glass of Nestle Quik each morning so she mixed it with that and says she was okay with it. She also did not notice any niacin flush.
She took another serving in the afternoon and last one will be before bed. She'll keep this dosing for a while and as time passes we can add another dose or 2 depending on how things go. She is tall (just under 5'10") and weighs 125-130lbs so I am thinking 3 doses is a good start.
I will also start with 3 and go up from there over time.
Hopefully everyone had a good Easter. More feedback to follow.

I have a spot near my elbow that even with costly lotions and creams won't go away. It cleared up after on Poseidon for several weeks but I know that it sometimes clears up on its own out of nowhere.
I'm going to stop taking poseidon and see if it comes back. If it does i'll take pics of it and start poseidon and take weekly pics to see if it clears up again. Hardly scientific but it'll be all the proof I personally need![]()
I'd see if it works on this rash I have on my lil pedro but i think that is more of an issue I should discuss with Mulletsoldier, a doctor and possibly a lawyer.
Was away last night so was not able to log in but here is the latest:
Wife is taking 3 servings a day. Yesterday she noticed her face felt hot and flushed after she dosed here afternoon serving. The night serving and the serving this morning also gave her the same feeling but not as extreme as the first time.
I assume it is the famous niacin flush. She started on 4/8 so this is her 4th day. Seems a little odd for the flush to start so many days after. I would of expected it right from the start and then taper off. I also find it odd that it is only her face and no other body part that gets the feeling. Interesting.
No real change in the psoriasis but I did not expect any changes for at least 2 weeks if not more. I will keep posting every other day or so as things change to keep everyone up to speed.

Well a couple more days have passed. Now on day 7, the niacin flushes are hit and miss still. Seem to not really happen in the morning dose but both the afternoon and evening dose.
In terms of skin improvement, she mentioned today that she has noticed her skin on areas other then the places the psoriasis is, actually look less dry and more healthy.
She has not noticed any change though in the areas effected by the psoriasis yet. We will continue to dose 3 servings a day and will continue to update.

Another 4 days, things are no better with the psoriasis yet. I have not been home this week as i have been out of town for work, but she mentioned in one of our phone conversations that she was still getting the niacin flushes.
I went over her dosing schedule again and was looking for how much liquid she was mixing it with etc. Come to find out, she has been running 2 scoops at each serving (3 times a day). Her thought is that it would work better. She must get that mentality from me.
I told her to stop double dosing and do just 1 scoop 3x's a day to see if the flushes subside. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime she wants to give it another 2 weeks to see if it has any effect on the psoriasis and then if not she plans on going to the doctor to see what they say about this recent outbreak.
She also mentioned that overall she feels very good since starting the poseidon. So she says she will continue it even if it does not help the psoriasis per say. In the meantime I guess I will have to by some more as I have only been able to try it a few times since I have been away. She's using it all up on me.

Good feedback lt, hope the last two weeks go good.
You mentioned the uv box, does she tan any at all? I know for many people that have bad acne, the tanning booth really knocks down the symptoms. Seems like the psoriasis is treated the same way.
Thanks for the continued feedback ltyson.
Sorry to hear that the psoriasis has not subsided as of yet. Another few weeks should be very telling. Please continue to keep us up to date.
I'm very glad to hear your wife is benefiting from the effects of Poseidon! Other than the areas of psoriasis, has she noticed any improved skin tone yet? That has been what most of the women taking Poseidon rave about...lol!

Yes UVB, they're starting to retire those old UVA boxes ugh, I used to go in those after taking horse pills and wearing granny UV protection. I get a nice tan in the UVB litebox![]()
Thanks Workin. She will continue to take Poseidon even if it does not help the psoriasis. She likes it. She does notice a difference in the skin are that is not effected. She commented how she no longer uses lotion and such as it is no longer dry and looks very good.
She has also reported a general feeling of wellness despite the outbreak. Energy is good and you have converted her to the darkside- she will be a user for life.
Good for you, bad for me, as now that means I have to purchase double the amount from from here on out so she does not use up all of mine.
On a slightly unrelated note, I myself am really looking forward to start using it consistently. I have really liked it the times I have taken it.
By Monday, I will be fully recovered from some recent training and non-training injuries and as of this week have started to introduce my supplementation back into my diet as I get ready to start an 8 week stack centered around a clean bulk. Poseidon will be a staple of that stack and beyond. I can't wait. Not being able to train all out for the last few weeks while I recovered, has been torture. I look forward to this next phase.

I've had it since I was 14 or 15, it came on during a bad flu. I had 1 clear year of psoriasis in high school. I haven't been cleared up in quite awhile. When I get sick is when it really flairs up to high heaven. That and weather changes cos it to flair. I cleaned up my diet last year but that's done nothing for my psoriasis, my skin is nicer and all but the psoriasis isn't affected. I've done most of the creams from mild to strong, coal tar, and one drug that requires a bloodtest monthly, I gave up on that after a couple of weeks, too risky. Sunlight or the litebox have been the only things so far in my case. I even tried custom herb mixed and acupuncture to no avail but an empty wallet. I don't know any other psoriasis sufferers to compare with, it seems to be different per person, and so many theories on what causes it from autoimmune problems to gut issues. I started using cetaphil lotion, that's helped a lot in keeping the flaking down, cetaphil is a good lotion and can be found at costco![]()
Ah enbrel, i don't think i could handle shots
Were there any side affects? You can still get a sun burn from the uvb treatment.
And I forgot about those great internal skin burns from UVB. Thats why you should always wear underwear while you undergo treatment.
snip.....
I think something like poesidon and fish oil could benefit anyone with an inflammatory disease. I have yet to try it, but will soon. snip..............
