Poseidon for psoriasis?

I started taking enbrel due to progression of psoriatic arthiritis - almost every joint is effected, including my ribs!?!
It definetly helps, more with the skin than with the joints though. I take blood tests every 2 weeks and so far so good, no side effects from enbrel - although long term use increases your chances of developing MS.

I think something like poesidon and fish oil could benefit anyone with an inflammatory disease. I have yet to try it, but will soon.

And I forgot about those great internal skin burns from UVB. Thats why you should always wear underwear while you undergo treatment.

Keep us updated rockhard_4eva.

Haven't updated this in a while but there has been no real change in the wife's psoriasis. Bright side is, it is not any worse since starting the poseidon and in general her skin is less dry, better looking and her overall well being is good. It is a staple of her diet now so she will continue with it. If anythings changes I will be sure to post up.

ltyson, thanks for the update. Glad to see the wife is getting some benefits from Poseidon.

Have you had a chance to give it a good shot yet? How's it going for ya?

Yes I have been taking 3-4 servings a day and am very pleased with it. I have started a new 8 week phase of training and feel that this has been a great addition to my stack and now consider it one of my staple supplements that I will use not only during this phase but for all others from here on out.

For me that says allot as the only things I consider true staples right now are:

Protein Powder
EFA's
Poseidon (now added)

Other supplements that are close to my staples but that I do take breaks from every once in a while are:
Anabolic Pump
Super Cissus
Powerfull
Cycle Support
Creatine

Then my last group would be the things I want to use or try during different phases of training such as:
Epi/Havoc
Test Boosters and such like Mass FX, Hyperdrol
Fat Burners such as Leviathan (sp?)
Etc, etc

So yes, very pleased. Thanks for asking. Both you and Workin are great assets to the board. Now if you could just find the cure for psoriasis you would truly be "THE MAN"!! :run:

Thanks for the kind words ltyson! I'm glad to see you are having such good results with Poseidon.

I wish it was having more of an effect on your wife's psoriasis. Hopefully it will at least help keep it from getting any worse.

Thanks for your excellent feedback my friend! :)

Poseidon and staple seem to go hand in hand. Glad to hear it's helping you out on the new workout regimen. What phase are you doing?

Poseidon and staple seem to go hand in hand. Glad to hear it's helping you out on the new workout regimen. What phase are you doing?

Phase is probably a loose term but what it means to me is a period of 6-8 weeks in which I follow my diet, training and supplementation very closely for a desired result. In this particular case I am going for lean mass gains.

Mentally I find I have to break my training up into these little phases to help me focus toward my long term goals. I then relax a little for 2 weeks or so between phases. I still train and use my staple supplements but I am a little looser with my diet and lay off all other supplements and don't kill myself quite so hard in the gym or worry if I miss a day or two for those 2 weeks.

I find this little bit of down time allows me to maintain my gains but gives my mind and body enough of a rest to go and prepare for the next onslaught.

I am now 37 and took many, many years off from lifting. Other priorities took over in my life and in those years I kept some of my muscle shape but lost quite a bit of the mass I had spent so many years before than trying to add.

I started back in November of 2006. Muscle memory or newbie gains kicked in and I made some great progress in 6-8 weeks time. Exercise poundage was increasing at a dramatic rate and a few weeks ago I tore a muscle in my forearm with 365lbs in shrugs (used to be easy weight for me). Nothing major, and it is healed now so all is well. But that injury and another injury non-training related forced me to recently take a few weeks off.

While I was not happy about it at the time, in hindsight I am glad it happened. It taught me that I am no longer 17, or even 27. I need to relearn how my body responds to things at my current age and in the future. I need to be more cognisant of my joints, tendons, and muscles and make sure I train in such a way that allows me to stay in the game till I am 87.

So a little lean mass phase to answer the question in a little shorter answer. Just another small step to maybe getting back in shape by age 40. 40 puts me in the Masters class right? I figure 3 years should give me plenty of time to get back into the kind of shape needed to step on-stage. Heck if I come up just a bit short of my goal then I will at least look good along the way :).

Probably more info then you needed, not sure why I got so long winded. I must be bored tonight. :toilet:

It's cool lt, that was what I was assuming you ment. It's a traditional thing for bodybuildres and weightlifters in general to shift phases during their diet and training regimens. I was just curious to see how you went about it and how Poseidon was being incorporated into your goals. Thanks for the honest feedback man, and good luck with the phase shift. I take it this is probably a cutting phase for summer and all correct?

any update?

Well she is still taking 2-3 servings per day. Niacin flushes are not as frequent or intense. As it relates to the psoriasis, there was no real change so recently she finally decided to go to the dermatologist.

They prescribed several meds. Pills, a spray, and a cream if I am not mistaken. I will get the exact list and post it. But the drugs have really worked. There has been major improvement.

The dr's think she may of had a mild virus or something that caused the flare up out of nowhere but it is hard to say for sure.

Not sure how much longer she has on the meds but I will check and will also post her progress to see if things stay good after stopping them.

As it relates to Poseidon- she feels it has really helped her skin in general. Hard to say if it helped the meds do their job also or not. She thinks it makes her feel good in general so she continues to dose it and has no plans to stop.

Thanks for asking and I will be back with more info in a few days.

Great to hear man. Glad your wife is doing good with the med and all. Hopefully you've found something to help beat it down permanently.

My dad had severe psoriasis and after using 2 scoops a day for 2 weeks his severe psoriasis has become mild psoriasis. I think if he continues it there is a chance of eliminating completely. thanks for making such an awesome product.
