Police & Prohormones

I had a few questions maybe you guys can help me shed some light on. I have used two cycles of fairly mild ph's in the past maybe little over a year ago. One furza a and one h-drol cycle, I am currently testing with my local police department to become a police officer and am just about to the part where we talk about past drug use. One of the questions in my background interview is have you ever used any kind of oral or illegal anabolic steroid. Maybe some former police officers or current police officers can help me out here, do they consider a prohormone a steroid even though by definition it really isnt cause there not illegal even though they have steroid capabilities. I want to awnser truthfully but i also was planning on running another cycle in the future but if these are something a department is gonna frown upon obviously i cant. I of course dont want to hinder my chances with getting on with my career i have decided i want to be a part of. Any input would be appriciated.
 
Stop worrying about it you bought them legally as dietary supplement. It's not like you were snorting dbol.

Ps if you have a polygraph and the examiner is a female I highly suggest sleeping with her. It takes a lot of stress off the table. Trust me
 
its funny that they care about that....since most cops i know who are in good shape are jacked and roiding anyway.

Do departments care about PH's or is it kinda a dont ask dont tell thing? I dont wanna say no to the roids question then i dont pass the poly id rather disclose it but then i dont want that to hinder my chances. I guess my pct was probably more illegal than the actual cycle ha haa, but thats a whole other grey area. What about the banned ones like m-drol, p-plex and spawn? Is something the FDA has banned considered illegal to take or posses?

Tell them you took a pro hormone that you bought OTC. I choose not to take anything that's questionable but that's just me and my morals

I wouldn't say that neccessarily. I mean. At what point after this initial round are they going to suspect you for taking a borderline FDA banned PH you know? And if for some reason they do feel the need to test you and they confirm their suspicions, that's when you play dumb and say "I didn't know that GNC sold steroids...what the hell is a prohormone? An oral substance? You mean like vitamins? The guy at the counter told me it was a testosterone booster and I've heard a lot of good things about tribulus so I thought I would try it out..."

I don't think they care that you used AAS in the past. They want to see if you are lying about stuff. You probably have to do a polygraph test later anyways. If you think you took an AAS, then say yes. DON'T LIE.

Ya im sure thats what most of it is they dont really care what youve done they just wanna know if your gonna be honest about it. You should hear some of the crazy questions that they ask. Ya i have to take my background interview first then immediately after that i take the actual polygragh and they ask you the same questions under the polygraph.

That's pretty hardcore.
I've read about all the ****ed up questions they ask you in those interviews.
Boston doesn't do those types of interviews.
 
Background: I'm a crim J major and future local or state police officer. Family is in LE, and many many friends in LE.

Best advice i got from my best friend who is local: Have a line and don't cross it (in regards to anabolic use). If you inject, you will have a hard time getting in unless you lie very well and they don't find anything in your background. If you use OTC PHs you can get by and they don't really have an issue. If they find that you've injected in the past you are now a liability, and if you ever went to court for something it can be used against you. A prosecuting/defense attorney will eat you alive.

I've done a couple oral cycles, and i intend to do a few more before i get in an academy. And honestly i'm gonna do another post academy to recoup all the weight i lose. They're not going to have an issue with it as long as you're not a complete dumbass.

Ya man thats exactley what i was thinking, i have never injected and dont plan too. I stick with mild PH's i dont even venture to the hard core stuff like phera or superdrol. Im probably gonna run a epi cycle here pretty soon and maybe a h-drol later on. I agree as long as your not a dumbass and can handle your sh*t and dont freak out should be fine. It was weird though in my pre interview i mentioned it to one of them and they kinda made a face. Maybe because my last cycle was like 2 months ago, but they said they wouldnt know till the actual polygraph, probably because they think those are gateways to actual roids.

Exactly. What you need to do is make sure that you never have an issue with losing control of your temper. I would though try to put a good amount of time between your last cycle and your academy or department interview. If you can show that you are mature about taking these, and always remain in control that will go along way. If you look like you're juiced up 230 lbs or something wild they are going to go over your past with a fine tooth comb.

Also remember that it's not a polygraph, it's a voice stress test. If you are not worried about your use of PHs, you'll come off fine.

They are both actual steroids.

Halodrol is a 17aa steroid that converts to the steroid oral Turinabol after interaction with 3b-HSD
Methepitiostane is an oral anabolic steroid derived from dihydrotestosterone.
 
if what you took is legal, dont worry about it. If you are buying illegal substances on the black market then you might worry.
 
Two points:

Everything you say can and IS used against you.
Weather it was legal or not you took steroids.

I know a guy in my town who had to take his poly, and was very open with what he had done. Even told them about having taken tren, except with the stipulation that he took it BEFORE it was added to the class III substances list. As long as you weren't pinning, they're not really going to care most of the time.

Taking a polygraph and and interview are not one in the same. A polygraph is not about being open?

A polygraph (popularly referred to as a lie detector) measures and records several physiological indices such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and skin conductivity while the subject is asked and answers a series of questions. The belief is that deceptive answers will produce physiological responses that can be differentiated from those associated with non-deceptive answers.
 
Key word is "illegal".

If you bought anything from NutraPlanet - it ain't illegal.

Of course - this doesn't matter IF you have to take a poly. In that case - just tell the truth. If the question says "illegal" - answer "no" ... if you're worried about it - you'll give a positive response and the interviewer will question you on that - and you just tell him you took a legal compound that you think may be illegal one day. :D

Took me three days to pass my last poly dammit. Interviewer had me performing sabotage on government installations, communicating with foreign agents, and conspiring with terrorists ... LOL. Two days of sorting through that ... I told that guy everything in my background. Then, when I still couldn't pass any of the questions - he said ... "Well there must be something else?" ...

I told him - "if there's anything left that you don't know about that might cause me to give positive responses - then it must be my intense and burning hatred for your organization ... NCIS."

Then I detailed all bad things NCIS had done since I had been associated with the Navy - which took thirty minutes.

Dude plugged me back in and I passed every question. LOL!
 
The polygraph is a joke btw. Only works if you believe it works. Its primarily a tool to interrogate someone. Lol know 1st hand. Penn and teller had an episode about this on "Bull@#$%" besides prohormones are legal, very $$ to test for them and many cops still use lol. Good luck cuz! You'll be fine.

Yes i agree i think the biggest thing is they wanna see if there was anything else im not telling them im sure. I know h-drol is turnibol but i was just refrencing the difference detween stuff that anyone can purchase leagally and is not a controlled substance or an FDA banned item, compard to like anabol, d-bol, testosterone, and trenbalone that are illegal to purchase on line or on the black market. Im sure with the amount of people that use these they probably run in to this quit often. The only think i wonder about is when it comes down to it if its between me and another canidate and ive used PH's before and the other guy hasnt who are they gonna go with you know lol.

Ya dude its crazy how many friends i have that are police officers and are trainning to be police officers and are eiather actively using a ph or have used many in the past. I have a buddy in the military for the us marine corp in afganistan and hes on spawn right now lol.
 
IV only read thru PG 2 of this post so far but I wanted to addmy two cents. IV been an LEO for 15 years now. I admitted to a cycle in my back ground packet and it never came up again. Be honest about everything and the polygraph will b basic. If ur background packet makes u look like a freeking angel then they will dig deep. Good luck and pm if u have any questions

just tell them the straight up truth. I bought legal ones at stores over the counter. havnt done them inawhile i "grew out" of that.

they are either roiding and jacked around here or really fat. There are some huuuuuggge cops that workout at my gym. Massive men.

Ya most of the cops in my city are just like really fit surprisingly there Arnt to many fat cops lol. The department makes them pass the physical agility test twice a year which includes a mile and a half run in under 14 minutes 49 seconds. A minimum of 31 push ups in a minute and 29 sit ups in under a minute. The fire fighters out here are the ones that are jacked lol

Let us not forget that there are plenty of fat appearing guys who are very well conditioned and plenty of fit appearing guys who are a heart attack waiting to happen.

Look at Cecil Fielder for instance. He is easily at least 60lbs overweight. Have you seen him run, field, hit, throw...

Ya good point I see a lot of guys that just appear fat but can lift a lot of weight. I've also seen guys that look like twigs but can bench 220 lol
 
You should probably abstain from PH/steroid use until you're an officer. I dont think law enforcement looks too highly upon the fact that you're using a substance that would be otherwise illegal but for the ever evolving names and chemicals.
 
I dont think they are really going to question you all that much about aas/ph use. I think they are most concerned with cocaine heroin marijuana etc. Like was said before aas testing is expensive and i highly doubt they will ever test you for that. So stop worrying so much about it or your going to be a nervous wreck during your poly and probably fail anyways. I think you are way overly paranoid.
 
If you purchased and used the products legally you did not break any law and therefore you have no reason for concern. The question is referencing "STERIOD " use why would you disclose LEGAL prohormone use when that was NOT the question. In my experience when someone gives me an answer to a different question when I asked a specific question, that is a sign of deception. Politicians do this all the time! If they didn't ask about prohormones don't answer about prohormones or prosteriods. If they wanted to know about prohormones they would ask specifically.

ONLY ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT IS ASKED PERIOD!
