Lower back pumps from a natty?

Not blaming it on a supplement necessarily. Deadlifts and variations of them aren't my forte but I'm trying to work with them. I'm conscious of my form and trying not to round my back or put myself in any situation that would strain it. My core could be a lot stronger to help deal with pulling that kind of weight too. I think the pumps and discomfort I've had have been a combo of lack of adequate hydration, average core strength, and not 100% safe form. There are some pump ingredients in Gameday that have forced me to cut back on the dosage a bit, but I also didn't have any lower back pumps the last couple leg days. Could have just been me needing more H20.

Are your hip flexors tight/shortened?

I've noticed that when I don't roll/stretch my hip flexors regularly I am more prone to lower back pumps. My thinking is that when they are tight your spinal erectors have to fight them to keep yourself in the proper position for squat/DL variations, which pushes blood into them and causes the back pumps. Because they are working harder to.keep you erect.

You might be right. I joke more and more that I should start doing yoga; every time I joke about it it becomes less of a joke! Gotta work on my flexibility for sure.

I don't think sigs can have hyperlinks. You just need to enter the URL in your signature. If people have made it this far on the internets, they'll know what to do.

Day 24:

Sumo deadlifts 225/6, 265/6, 295/3, 265/5
--definitely found out today my core is weak and that's probably straining my lower back to the point I feel a "pump." The 295 set was murder getting started and holding and I definitely felt it in my core.

Deadlifts
225/8, 245/6, 6 (straps used), 5
--def need help with my grip!

Ground base squats
270/3 warmup, 320/7, 6, 270 /6

Day 25:

Hex bar shrugs:
245/11,10,9,8,7
Roc-it lat pulldowns:
250/10,10,9,8
Roc-it chest press:
265/8, 280/8, 315/6, 265/6
BoSu push-ups:
18,15,13

--PRs for weight on the chest press; PRs for reps on the other machines. Full scoop of Gameday down the hatch and 3 days left of PR-XT. Been dosing the last bit of Prometheus Rising lately but holding off on the Nolvadren as it's a bit of estrogen-crushing overkill between that and the PR-XT. Very happy with my run so far!

makes sense with regards to the back pump, could be overcompensating for your abdominals. nice numbers though

Day 26:

Single leg deadlifts holding 35lb plates in each hand:
3 sets of 3 reps 50 sec rest

Dumbbell squats w 80lb weights
10,9,8,7,7 80sec rest
--dumbbells were bulky and I had to kind of hold them in a "fly" position at the lowest part of the rep because they were hitting the outside of my thighs

Leg press:
450/10, 540/10, 10, 8, 450/8 80 sec rest

--poured sweat today by keeping rest times a bit lower than usual. The dumbbell squats were killer but will probably become part of the routine going forward!

2 workouts left before my final review. Very pleased with these products! Half scoop of Gameday is working well for leg days.

Day 27:

Rest day. Fiancée had her shower this afternoon so now we have to start sorting through all the gifts. Tomorrow is the last log entry and a final review will go up also!

Solid rest day, in my books ;)

Hope it was great brochacho!

Def got brownie points for bringing flowers to my mother and mother in law today! Excited to try out our new Ninja blender; gonna be looking for good recipes!

Haha milk it dude!

Ninja's are amazing -- we use them at work, I'd kill to have my personal one just to make my own peanut butters (wasabi almond? cammonn).

Piston Honda with a new Ninja blender? So this it what it sounds like when doves cry!!

Also, good stuff on the log. I am missing PR-XT, that's for true!

Day 28 & Final review:

Hoist low rows:
220/ 10,9,8,8,7
--PR for reps

Meadows rows:
90/ 10,9,8,8,7
--PR for reps

Cage press:
110/8, 130/10,8,4

Arnolds:
25/8,7,6

BoSu push-ups:
16, 13

--absolutely murdered my shoulders today! They feel almost numb; like my "frozen shoulders" after I'd sleep on them wrong. Gonna load up on cissus and fish oil the next few days!

This is my last log entry as my 28 day supply of PR-XT is all gone. Still have plenty of Gameday and a little Nolvadren left over; very good products and value for the money.

I definitely got stronger throughout my run and a bit leaner also. Gameday is very versatile and a little goes a long way, believe me! 60 servings for about $30-35 is a great price/serving ratio.

All in all a good run, and I thank MAN Sports for their support and opportunity to log these products!

Final full review is in the 2nd post of this thread!

Blue Bombsicle is an awesome flavor! Not overpowering; just right and definitely unique!

PR-XT definitely added some hunger and leaned me out. I craved carbs, which is very unusual for me!

Nolvadren kept me dry. Almost too dry; I found that the AI in the PR-XT was enough and adding Nolvadren was overkill. I tapered off it gradually.

Used up my Prometheus Rising; a great product combining DAA, forskolin, agmatine, and r-ala. I miss it already! *sniff sniff*

Sweet! I think I responded more to PR-XT when I ran it as opposed to Nolvadren. I bet using both would work wonders, but given what you posted, perhaps overkill. Maybe some DAA, like you did with PR would help.

That said, those three make for a killer stack!

Agreed! Hard to go wrong with MAN products!

Nicely done BroMAN. Solid log PH and MAN definitely brings the goods.

Great log & review - Not to mention putting in some good work under the bar!

The big thing from Gameday is the focus / energy aspect. It really dials you in and stays with you for hours. No crash or harsh comedown.
