Piston Honda: The Ultimate MAN (sponsored)

Day 9:

Seated leg press:
450/10, 540/10, 630/10, 590/10, 540/10
--did a bit more weight on the back half of the routine, so definite strength increase.

Ground base squat:
270/8, 320/6, 320/5
--not as much weight (no 360 lbs) but more reps. Forgot to add taurine to my mix; I always do on leg day to avoid the lower back pump I started to feel on this exercise!

Hex bar deadlifts:
245/5, 275/5, 295/3, 225/8
--a few more reps on this exercise. Knee felt a bit tweaked and didn't want to push it too hard at this point.

Learned my lesson from last leg day and dropped Gameday to a half a scoop, otherwise I probably would have tweaked out!

I seem to be down a couple pounds in weight, and a bit leaner.

Holy leg press.

Great stuff bro[insert one of the 88 variations itt].

If I can get past some flexibility and joint creakiness, maybe I can do 700 one day (for multiple reps). Some more traditional exercises are difficult for me like the barbell squat, so I try to use machines that keep me in a safe position without totally isolating a main muscle and neglecting supporting ones.

smart to use machines for squats, much safer, imo.

Your leanin out too huh? Im on day 11 and my appetite has picked up quite a bit (recomping so this is a b) but i have leaned out some.

Haha, just left a similar comment in your log!

Tomorrow's a carb up day so I won't be nearly as worried about looking bloated! Think by now the effects will make me look full, not doughy after a carb heavy day.

been noticing this effect myself since I started running the same stack. I've always tolerated carbs well, but seem to be fuller and tighter during my recomposition phase :)

Day 10: Cardio like the last time. 40 minutes on the elliptical. Wish I had more for you guys today, but cardio updates are never fun!

Haha tis part of the game brotha.

I just got my run in about an hour ago, had to jump in the shower to thaw the eff out!

Whoever invented cardio should be shot

Day 11:

Close grip barbell rows:
160/10,9,8 135/10,8 70sec rest

Meadows rows
80/10,10,9,8,7 70/8 50sec

Hex bar rows:
135/10, 155/10,9,8

Cage press:
130/10,9,5.5 90/8

Arnold presses
25/7,6,5

--weights and reps went up in a lot of the exercises today. Noticing my bicep veins looked like ropes today! Shoulders feeling really good.

Dynamic work brother!

That's how us dynamic dudes roll!

I love doing rows with the hex bar. The cage presses tear you up too.

I'm just glad my shoulders aren't getting torn up like they used to.

Never thought of a hex row; are you mimicking the bent row maneuver, just with a hex bar instead? Hmm.

You got it boss! Good for the lats and lower traps.

Day 12:

Hex bar deadlifts (using lower grip, starting lower to floor)
225/8, 7, 6, 6 100 sec rest

Sumo deadlift w/ conventional grip
225/5,6,5,4
--hadn't done these before and had to get the motion down, but once I did, I think these will be staples!

Stiff legged deadlifts:
225/7, 5 (grip fail), 6, 5

Walking overhead 45 lb plate lunge:
5 forward/back, 4 forward/back

Had good energy and remembered to only use a 1/2 scoop of Gameday this time! I did forget to throw some taurine into my mix though, had some back stiffness but still got a great workout in.

Went shopping for some new shirts today and checked myself out in the store's dressing room mirrors. Really brought out that I've gotten some more definition and seemingly lower body fat since the log began. Looked a hell of a lot better there than in my mirrors at home! Getting very vascular in arms and chest, even at rest.

sounds interesting, will definitely have to try this next time I do bent over rows

Day 13:

Hex bar shrugs:
245/10,9,8,8,7
Hoist close grip low row:
220/8,7,7,6,5
Hoist roc-it chest press:
265/12,10,8
Bosu Pushups:
15,13,10

--Felt great today after going out last night to celebrate my friend's stag. Popped a couple Orange Triads before bedtime and woke up clear as crystal. Did shoulders two days ago, deadlifts yesterday, back and chest today; whole upper body is shot and needs a day off! Very tight in the muscles today. Getting a good pump in the gym and seem to be handling a few more carbs than usual without getting bloated up. Libido is good and everybody's happy!

more carbs without the negatives is a win, glad you're feeling good

Day 14: Rest day, no workout. Had to catch up on grading and my body had some tough workouts the last few days. Leg day update will come later this afternoon.

working as a TA at my college for a quarter, i learned just how much grading sucks haha. definitely worth taking off to get it all done. hope leg day went well :)

Day 15:

Ground base squats:
270/8, 320/6

Leg press machine became open, so

450/10, 540/10, 630/10, 590/10, 540/10

Back to ground base squats:
320/6, 270/7

Hex deadlifts:
225/6, 5

Had to stop after 35 minutes due to crushing back pumps. Seems to be happening a lot on leg days! Maybe Gameday even at half dosage is too much for legs! It's a good steady stim with no crash. Really like it so far.

Came in to see how you were liking that Blue Bomb-sicle. Left satisfied. ;)

Day 16:

Cage press: 130/12,10,7,5 90/8 --PRs for reps

Barbell rows: 160/12,10,9,8 --got goosebumps after each set! Weird thing about me when I get a neck rub or do some shoulder exercises sometimes, uncontrollable euphoria and goosebumps! Oh yeah, PRs for reps too.

Meadows rows:
90/10,9,8 75/8 --PRs for weight

Hex bar rows:
155/10,9,8

Awesome day today with a ton of PRs. Felt great!
