Patriots!!!

Man....

Just goes to show you, if you got Brady, you got a chance to win anything. That guy is just money.
 
After thinking it over this should have been the superbowl. best two teams in the league, super intense game...

I still don't get over that 4th and 5 where Brady throws an interception and they fumble it.

Rivers played great, play call by marty was shaky. getting the ball back 3:45 to go why not give the ball to LT? he carried for 6 and than they threw 2 times into cover, 3 and out, and you could feel then that this was it for them.
 
What a game - pats pulled it out though. The entire game seemed like a cardio session for me though with intense sweating and an increased heart beat (major pats fan).
 
I hate New England....San Diego beat themselves...Patriots are whack...LT should have just smacked those dudes for trying to clown on Merriman..that being said...Mr Cut That Meat aka 6'5 220 Laser Rocket Arm Peyton Manning...I hope he throws TD's left and right to Wayne/Harrison.....Good Lord i hate the Patriots
 
9 probolwers vs 1, Pats came out on top. I like how LT said that the pats came off "without class" - did he miss is teammates' lack of composure and discipline for 15 yard losses? If any team depicts class and discipline it is the Patriots under Belichick.

"It showed no class. Maybe it comes from the head coach." - I bet this statement will be retracted/aplogized for.

Great game ! Brady is just freaking money in the Play-Offs. San Diego also did a good job of beating themselves. Dropped an INT, the killer personal foul on Drayton Florence, the fumble by Parker. The LT antics were bizarre, I would expect that from TO, not LT.

I agree with you judge-mental: Once the Pats got the ball back with 3:45 I knew the Chargers were done
 
I'm not a pats fan at all but I have to give credit where its due and they become a whole new team in the playoffs...now that i've given them their props :D

I hope the Colts destroy them :saw:
 
Colts are gonna get crushed, Payton Manning is gonna choke again, he should just stick to commercials. Don't get me wrong he's good but Brady is game!

The patriots arn't going to beat the colts. Although brady is money in the playoffs and he has alot of experience the chargers arn't as familiar with the playoffs then alot of the teams in it this year. That and I personally never felt the chargers were all that great of a team. Yea they had a great year but I just didn't see them making it to the superbowl this year. I was more than generous thinking theyd make it past this game. I think alot of people are convinced the pats will go to the big game because they had the chargers picked to win. I'll be laughin when everyone jumps on the colts bandwagon when they win against the pats. Just like everyone did with dallas and san diego.
 
Also Ironic there was all this "LT is such a stand up guy" and then next thing you know he's pullin a TO. hmmm...Is this the beginning of something?

So that gives him the right to talk trash on a coach and their team as a whole? No, it doesn't at all. TO was considered one of the best WR in the league at one point and did that justify his **** talking? Nope, It's a complete scumbag attitude. The elite in the league should recognize that there performance does the talking and have a little bit of humility. Not making excuses for your teams loss whether it be blaming other team members and saying you carried the team or blaming other teams for their lack of "class". Doing so demonstrates your lack of "class" and it's just childish and hypocritical. I assume LT's comment was associated with the patriots celebration at the end of the game. What does celebrating have anything to do with a lack of class? Players will celebrate at the end of any given play. I guess every team in the NFL completely lacks class...oh EXCEPT for the chargers.
 
csw im going to agree with you and give you credit for being right. colts are going to win by 11 and LT may not be the guy i thought he was. the mystery is over, colts went to foxburogh and beat the pats on their field in a big game. the colts no longer feel they cant beat new england. its time for peyton ball. i saw colts loose to houston at houston and kill philly at home, take it to the bank colts by 11. look up colts record at home, they are a different team. manning, harrison and wayne have markers in rca dome, the timing patterns the run are awesome.
 
man have you actually seen the colts play at home? you aint seen nothing yet. before the foxborough game i might not have been as confident. the mystique is over.

No one has the right to talk senseless sh!t. I find extremely ironic that he criticizes them for not having class yet Drayton Florence goes freaking psycho after a play and he tries to start a brawl after the game.

He could express his disappointment in the post-game conference and that would be fine but what he did was out of line. If I was Marty I would've grabbed him by the facemask and escorted him to the locker room.

Excuse me but getting beat in the playoffs brands you not the best team in the league. San Diego was never the best team in the league. Hence them losing in the second round of the playoffs. Any idiot would beable to recognize that.
 
And I have no idea where the hell you got that the patriots have one of the best pass defenses in the nfl. But you are poorly mistaken.

Wow a little hostile are we buddy.....I'm a pats fan so YES i did expect them to get this far. When the pats beat the colts i'll give you that winning ticket so you can go buy a clue.
 
this years playoffs are a crapshoot, there's a 50/50 chance of either team winning. i have a gut feeling about the colts but....i live in indy and it's nice to have the colts win, but win or lose life will go on. :yawn:
 
This year can really go either way but my feelings on the game is that if the colts show up as the team that they have the potential of being, and not the colts who do just enough to get by then they will absolutly man handle the patriots stat wise, maybe not score wise but they will win. Yes the patriots and colts met before and the colts won. Yes the patriots are a different team in the playoffs.

Although the colts were performing terribly after their bye week they still managed to beat the patriots. The one thing the patriots haver to their advantage is experience in the playoffs. That was obvious in the game against San Diego. All I hear is this "choke" colts. How often have the colts choked in the playoffs? If anything they now have the experience and with each missed oppurtunity comes a lesson learned.You have brady who is notorious for 4th quarter come backs against Peyton manning who not only is known for the 4th quarter hurry up offense come back but also his ability to expose any defenses weak points.

Brady specializes in short quick passes and Peyton Manning has more diversity. Yes brady is money in the playoffs but Peyton is money all the time. The colts demonstrated their defense is a force to be reckoned with against the ravens and that against the best defense in the league that they can still perform well enough to get points up on the board. If the colts show up, they got it. If not, NE will capitalize early.

Peyton is not money all the time (see Indianapolis Colts, playoffs and Brady - Superbowl rings --> thats MONEY right there, stats are crap W's count). He had a horrible game against Baltimore. The only thing that kept indy in the game was Baltimore's lousy offense, look at the stats. All the Pats have to do is step up on D an dkeep Manning off the field, it's not simply a Brady vs Manning game.

Gonna be a great one to watch fellas!
 
it would be nice if indy wins, this town has gone ape. went downtown yesterday and checked out all the stuff going on, this is a big deal for indy. there is alot of presure on colts to win, if they loose a lot of people in this city will say its because they 'choked'. with a new stadium going up 4 blocks from the rca dome you can bet the pressure is on. this is a make or break game for the colts. i am betting on them to come through.

Yes last weeks win in san diego was ugly, but they still found a way to win as they always do. A win is a win regardless of how you get it done.
 
It's interesting how many analysts said that whoever wins vs SD goes on to win the superbowl - but those same analysts are now picking the colts!

they are the same analysts who picked kc and the ravens to beat the colts, so you didnt listen to them then ,why start now? give me a break. those guys have access to all kinds of inside dirt if they wanted to dig for it. they read the sports page and listen to a few call in shows like the rest of us. experts my eye, they could care less who wins long as they get their paycheck. most are lazy azzes cashing in on once being players. i got no problem with that because everytime i turn on the news i see so called experts who dont know squat, and they are dealing with stuff alot more important than sports. experts my eye. expert bullshippers.

Exactly. Though since 2001, I believe, Brady has had the most 4th Qtr/OT comeback/victories, that was often because he only had to get them within FG range and hand the reigns over to Adam. Honestly, all firey Brady is the 'best Playoff QB ever' rhetoric aside, how many times had he been in that position? Less than a minute, without the luxury of bringing it to FG range; the TD was necessary, and he threw a pick.

This is why I hate the Patriots. Its mainly their supporters are such *******s about the game. I do not talk **** about my team being better than others. I state what I think is going to happen in a game and what I hope will happen.

People hate the Patriots for the very reason that you've most outstandingly exemplified.

To the Patriot fans: As I said, I don't talk **** about your team. I'm a gracious winner and loser as a fan of my team. But all the crap I heard this week made me very angry. So all the Patriot fans that talked so much smack can EAT A ****.

Peyton Manning is the best student of the game; EVER. Watch him play. Its fun when you know what's going on.

Well let me be the first to say congrats to the colts on a game well played.....however to have a patriot legacy the colts have a very long way my friend to prove themselves. To say patriot fans are A....., what's that all about. I think your just a little sore on how new england has dominated the colts in the past playoff years...... last time I checked talking trash was part of the game so if you can't handle it go back to watching tennis.....Yes we have dominated the playoffs the last 3 of 5 years....boo hoo ...when any team wins you have bragging rights and that's the way the game is so don't cry about it or the fans who exemplify it.....I'll still sit here and say brady is the man in the playoffs b/c he is with plenty of playoff recods to prove it......when manning wins 3 superbowls come back and talk to me b/c it won't happen in my lifetime. The colts won tonight, but still have not won a super bowl.....enough said

That's funny the best student of the game still has yet to win the biggest prize of them all......I'm all for saying manning is a great QB, but to say he's the best student of the game ever i think not. This is what i hate about colt fans......yes manning is great, but where's your ring boys.......

You're an absolute idiot. There have been PLENTY of absolutely GREAT players that have never won a ring but played the game. Football has 11 players on the field, not one you moron. And if you play on offense chances are your not playing on defense and special teams. One man can't control everything. Get over it. You're team lost and just because brady went to the superbowl and won three times doesn't mean it was him and only him who won the game.

The patriots have consistantly had a great team of players. Not just one player. No matter how good the players on your team are you will not make it to the big game if you don't know how to play with eachother. This is evident in many sports. Hell in the olympics our basketball team did terrible because they were all a bunch of egotistical showoffs.

I bet you'd be quick to jump on anyone who said LT wasn't one of the greatest running backs if he didn't get a superbowl ring. But you're just butt hurt because when it came down to it, Tom brady was not as clutch as peyton manning was in this game.

How long you been a patriots fan? I see you reside in florida. You sound like one of the bandwagon hoppers from 5 years ago. If that's the case, I'll be counting the days till you're a colts fan.

I must agree with CWS. Trauma, you were by far the most arrogant person in this thread; I must say I take a small bit of enjoyment in your lottery ticket being the losing one. Even moreso that it was in fact Tom Brady who choked when it mattered most.

However, even with that being said it was not Peyton who beat Tom, it was the Colts who beat the Patriots and I think this needs to be recognized. The Colts made some major offensive adjustments in the second half with quick PA routes and dump passes to counter the play of the NE secondary. The adjustments were quite effective; I remember one point during the third quarter where the position going back to mid-second quarter (?) was 11 minutes Colts, 1 minute Patriots. One man cannot do that, it was the Colts who beat the Pats, let's all keep that in perspective.
 
mullet you are on the money, the team wins or loses. it just so happens my team won, and your team lost trauma. remember the saying 'you're only as good as your last game'.

Hence the team that plays better with one another and is more in sync usually wins the game despite the mvps on the other side of the ball. A player can set all the records he want to but he's only as strong as his weakest link.

Running backs would not beable to get those 100+ yards per game without there linemen being able to throw them blocks and their QB being able to throw so as to not make a team one dimensional. The quarterback would never had the time to throw if those lineman weren't blocking, those recievers weren't catching, and if the running back isn't able to run making them a one-dimensional team. That's why football is a TEAM sport.
 
anyone see the bears yesterday? thomas jones had a great day. everytime he sored or the defense was on the field ,you could see him giving props and hanging with the O line.
 
I can't believe it, Colts won. It was a damn good game, good comeback, but my team still has the biggest comeback ever in NFL history!!! Bills vs. Oilers, bills were down 35-3 and they came back to win 41-38 in the 1991 playoffs!!!
