What brand do you get from your pharm?

I just picked up my 1st legit prescribed from a Rite Aid and was surprised to see it is Cyp by Sandoz made in Canada.

regardless, better to save it and buy more gas and get Striped bass

but
I know of compounding pharmacy that at one time was selling

30mL vials of 200mg/mL
testosterone cypionate for $100

and 10mL vials for $40

I forgot the type of oil they used

Our is cottonseed

compounded IIRC is sesame oil (I think)

My plan covers my test and my copay is $15 for 10ml of 200mg/ml.

Won't cover my Cialis tho, but found that cheap anyway.
Pharm wanted $150 for 10- 10mg Cialis.

No thanks.

I get mine from Costco pharmacy. 50 dollars for a 2000mg (10cc bottle of Test C (Watson) )

ANother question for you all...does insurance cover it ? I was told NO...so automatically assumed that and never tried getting insurance to cover it. I have Humana POS. Someone told me that the doctor has to write "medically necessary" on the script. But why give a prescription in the 1st place if it's NOT medically necessary. Anyone ?

As I said, my cost is $10 for the co-pay and the insurance pays the rest (10 ml 200 mg/ml). I think there was a deductible I had to meet for the first couple of scripts that made the first ones higher. Why would a physician write a prescription that wasn't "medically necessary"?
 
well, I supposedy have great insurance and they don't cover it. Bummer. But at least it cheap at Costco.

Interesting that you guys bring that up.
Here's the deal, I recently was prescribed HCG for low test and he stated that he was not sure if my insurance covered it. After running around with the insurance co, the finally sent my prescription to me via mail and placed my credit card on file for the pending charges. Several weeks go by and I still have no charge on my card so I call them back.
The rep tells me that my prescription is listed as "medically necessary" and it is 100% covered by my insurace. There's not even a co-pay and I assume that there would be no difference with a script for actual Test.

I never even heard of this but I verified it twice!
My perception of this is that a lot depends on your insurance and how the doc words the script.

Never assume. I hope it works out for you, and there are guys way more knowledgeable than me who might have more info, but Im surprised since I thought as a dude, hcg was an "off label" use, and would never be covered by insurance. Also, re-read whats been posted about the freaky things that aren't covered, Ive got a friend who got androgel and only paid a real small copay(its like 200+ bucks without ins) but inj. test is not covered at all, so its all out of pocket. (all medically necessary, no quacks or online stuff, regular do doc). Go figure.
 
arimidex is very expensive I paid $11 a mg a while ago, drug companies smell blood when a drug can be used for cancer.

On a side note, arimidex is way too expensive, it's the most expensive part of my HRT. I buy liquidex and use this along with my compounded .5mg caps of arimidex to make it last longer.

Blue Cross will not cover T for me, I have tried. My general rule is, if it works insurance will not pay. If one of the side effects is death insurance is happy to give you all you want.
 
I actually haven't tried to get my insurance to cover it, cause from all i've seen its pointless. at best it seems they'd let me apply the amount I spent towards annual deductibles.

I take T cream and get it from them I take 100 mgs per day and a one month supply is $55 or so......they are an excelent pharmacy.
 
I have a question, Once you are prescribed this and your levels come back up. Do they stop giving you the presciption?
 
So If I wanted to do this I need to find a Doctor that is into this, or does it just go by your hormone levels?
 
I just found a guy in my area and this is expensive. Any cheaper way?

Fees for patients doing the Vital Life Program:

First year professional fees, Dr Lang: $900.00

My previous two insurance companies UHC and BlueCross both state in their exemption clauses that they do not cover compounded pharmacy prescription. Save your receipt and write it off on your taxes for medical expenses.
 
One thing to remember with insurance is it is a contract. They cover what they are contracted to cover. When I first started TRT my insurance gave ZERO coverage for test at any pharmacy EXCEPT the mail order one run by the insurance company, they charged $88 to me for a 20ml vial of Watson 200mg/ml test cyp. My cash price there was $67, and $110 at a local pharmacy. A few years later and some contract revisions, I was then able to go to Sam's/Walmart and get the same Watson test cyp for $22 with my insurance, and with me reimbursement account it came to nothing out of pocket.

So if your insurance doesn't cover it, and your employer provides your insurance THEY CHOSE not to cover it, if it is insurance you buy directly it is not covered because either you chose a plan that does not include it, or all the plans they offer do not include it.
