****ed up pretty bad today. Diet was total ****. I am pretty pissed off at myself as this is my 5th week no cheeat basiclly and I wanted to pull these final two weeks off really clean. I probably set myself back like a day or so. Im pretty pissed but Ill just try and forget it. Dont want to go into more detail because im pissed off thinking about it. DAMN MY WEAK MIND
 
did I mention f me and my weak mind? Yea Im a *****... Sorry to rant like a 4 year old girl I am just very irratated. Was doing amazing and was at the best point yet. I know I will be back to how I was by Saturday but I could have been that way and then some tommorow. :rant: :rant:
 
I couldnt let this day go to waste it was making me go insanse. I waited a little while (like an hour after damage) and I just decided to run. I ran my ass off. (I think it was anywhere from 10-11 miles) at a 130hr. took me like and our and 40 min. I know this was risky but I jus had so much energy and I figured my body had more than enough extra crap in there (when I eat too much its not crap foods but clean, just wayyyyy to much) so I figured I could get away with minimal muscle loss on such a long run and minimize damage with fat! Hopefully this was a good idea, but Im so glad I did it.

Little damage from yesterday thanks to that marathon run, thank god.

Legs felt good. Stiff legs went up in weight and it felt good pounding out those last few reps. one of my least favorite days tommorow :whiner:

1 day of complete garbage eating cant reverse a week of hard dieting

i hear ya on the bulking soon thing....soo close, if not already there. I cant wait to eat double what is on my menu because it is all so good im so looking foward to protein pancakes in the morning :) with a coffee protein frappachino....I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the motivation fellas its really a great help. This last week feels like it is going to be a long one but no bbq or anything because I will enjoy my weekend in NYC.

Diet 100% both days

too busy to update yesterday once again so just do double today. Both days were awsome and counting down the days. I will do one last big update and wrap up of cutting and such before I change over to bulk

3 more days, then NY, then Bulk, o god the bulk!

When in New York Im not going to do anything too bad, Ill be running everyday, and walking alot (just gonna walk around the city while my sister is at work on friday, then superman. Should be cool. I want to find some cool supplement stores or lifting stores as I dont have any outside of Vitamin Shoppe and GNC hear (Pro Souce is a bit of a trek and I havent been there yet)

Day 52

Diet 100%

Last day on the cut program. I will be going to New York tommorow night and before I go I will do a final wrap up on this cut with Bobo. I will explain further goals and how I did...

Also I switched out tris today and did chest and tris as I will be in NY for a couple of days and would miss a couple days so I figured get some big muscle groups in before I go. I will be doing legs tommorow and still following my diet but probably will put in some extra protein and carbs..

Well I got back from NYC and had a blast, but missed my training and its damn good to be back. Diet was in check while in NYC and all the walking I was probably in a deficit for the first 2 days, but the last day was a different story :twisted:

Anyway I am having some interesting problems deciding wtf I should do here. I was all ready to call a quits with the cutting and go on this much anticipated bulk for the next few months to try and reach my before fat ass weight but with muscle. However I am reconsidering this decision and contemplating continuing on this cut to my stomach/love handels/upper thighs of fat. I was feeling good at where I was but unfortunelty under estimated my bf and right now feel its a bit higher than I previously thought. I know I that I can reach this goal easily with Bobo's help by end of July or 10 days into August but that is alot of time off the bulk which would really interfere with my bulking goals (this wouldnt be a hard decision but once next March comes I have no time to cut or bulk correctly.... which absolutley ****s me up which causes this decision.

I really need to decide wtf to do soon. I just dont see the reason to cut down when I dont have the muscle mass I should have at my height, but also have a little bit too much waist/lovehandel fat left (because of my ealier incorrect newbie cut prior to finding out the correct ways to even do a cut bymyself)

I know this is a long ramble and hard to follow and understand I just need to get it off my chest.

Ill keep in touch and will make my decision prior to Friday as this is when I want to pay either for contiuation cut or switch to bulk..

again sorry for the ramble and indecision on my part.
 
Basicly where Im at is this:

Prior to researching any type of correct diet or training knowledge I was a complete fat ass and knew I needed to do something about it. I started out at 230 and started doing mass cardio and basiccly just reduced my cals drasitccly low. Beggining of summer was 230 at got to my lowest of 165.... started lifting and probably over training and didnt do much. At 164 I still had some bf because my body basicly turned on me and went to survival mode and switched to muscle burning without my knowing. I finally started researching and got my diet in check and started trying to gain. Unfortunetly around Feruary I hit a wall and fell of the train and gainined back a bit of the fat with complete lack of cares and got back up to about 190 and then was at tennis season. Luckily for me I was better off at the 190 than I was 165 even though it was predomintly undesirable weight. I went through a tennis season and then hired Bobo ( a tad bit early because I was unable to start at the planned time).

I basiclly missed the first 2-3 weeks of Bobo's program and wasnt able to start until really first to second week of June. HOWEVER with Bobos help I was able to drop around 12-15 lbs of fat AND gain nearly 4-5 lbs of lbm all on a cutting regime (and to my dishonor this was with 3 nasty cheats that were pure pitiful weaknesses that I have finally dealt with.)

I am currently in the best shape of my life thanks to Bobo, this board (along with one other board I found prior to this but moved on lol), and another factor that is important to me... I am currently 185 at 6'4in (to me this is way to light for a guy my height and I think most will agree. BUT this brings me to my previouse post and the indecision I am faced with:

Because of my mistaken past my body was in survival mode and shed body fat from limbs and held on to the fat around the main part of the body, and unfortuently turned on my muscle. I am no where near where I want/should/could have been if I had done it right from the beggining but whats done is done and I am happy to have gotten back to a semi decent state.

The momenent of indecision is this: Do it continue on with this cut until I get ride of the ad/love handel crap that has been my ultimate foe, or just do a intense bulk from now until mid January (which is the latest time I have before I can have time to have adequite time to cut prior to tennis) and deal with the fat later? I feel like a bulk will along with packing on muscle (because from the cut alone I put on 5 lbs of lbm because of prior traning status) and in my honest opinion produce a tightening and possibly bit of fat loss (this is all hope) or deal with the fat know and post pone bulk and eliminate my chances to get up to 220 or higher by mid january then cut..

Once again this is a long rant of mine in the confusion of what to do. This is not to be constrewed as a whining fit just wanted to see what you guys thought would be the better decision if you were in this situation. I am still leaning towards the bulk because I think I can deal with the excess fat for the rest of the summer (and like I said could possibly lean out a bit even on a bulk) and then deal with the fat in January.

Honestly I think the bulk is the best option and probably just made up my mind while writting this, and I guess wirtting this accomplished the job.
 
It's unquestionably a difficult decision. I'm 5'8" and was ~195 lbs in early Feb. I've been cutting for 12 weeks now and I'm down to 175. At times, I've felt like the "incredible shrinking man!" I appreciate the definition and striation, but man I've felt like I'm getting really small at times. I've made up my mind to cut through mid-August or until I'm at 10% BF, whichever comes first.

It really depends on preference and physiological tendencies. I have an easier time bulking than cutting, at least up to a point, so I'm attempting to optimize around that fact. I’ve had difficulty in the past getting under 12%, so I want to try to achieve that in this go around. I’m very curious to see what a good bulking program (ie. Bobo) can do starting at relatively low BF. If it is anything like the cutting program, I’m certain I’ll be happy.

Good luck on whichever way you chose to go.
 
yea I know what your saying. I dont have a problem with getting smaller just get mad at past mistakes.

Sorry for that long as hell rant but Iit was a good thing as it made me decide to bulk like crazy for a solid 6 months! THen finish off the cut.. But I really wouldnt be surprised if I leaned out/ or looked even better with what I put on so Im pumped.

Final wrap up of cut and my thoughts will be done and I will discuss my plans/ what Ill do about pictures. I am just busy trying to find a job and Im procrastinating way to much.. but o well ahah

If your content with your strength and you dont' feel like your getting weaker and you can mentally continue with the cut - keep going - It's not easy else everyone could do it. Patience young grasshopper - you've done 50 days which is great but....you didnt' gain the weight overnight and it takes even longer to get rid of it.

IMO if your strength is good, you feel good and you dont' let the depleted feeling overpower you keep on going until your happy. Of course you cant' go forever but another 50 days is feasible and you'd probably be a lot happier in the end.

Lbs is just a number - you'll look a lot better at say 170-175 - 9-10% than 230 at 20%. Then when your 10% or under and you stay with Bobo you'll grow to the size you want and correctly without the fat.

I say keep cutting - what can it hurt?
 
I hear what your saying Pfunk and I really thought I felt the same way but I think that bulking now is the best option.

I would never let myself get to 230 at 20% and I dont think Bobo would like that much either ahah. The thing you said about content with strength is the reason why I switched. Ever since I dieted incorrectly I have not been content with strength and muscle amount. However just in the past weeks with bobo I have become more muscular while shredding fat (testimant to not only the program works but the crappiness and unknowing of my previouse training)

I feel that my best bet is to bulk from now until early to mid January and then cut down to a definition that I couldnt not achieve now just due to lack of muscle mass.

I appreciate all the help and am glad I will be starting this bulk.

BF %: Guessing I was higher than initially though so 16-17%
waist: 37in
arms: R: 13in, L13in

Upper Legs: R: 23 3/4in, L:23 1/4 in
calfs: R: 14 3/4in, L: 14 3/4in


Final Stats
: This was in 6 weeks (as I didnt start FULL program two weeks in due to prolonged tennis stuff)
weight: 182 (-13 lbs, this was not only 2 lbs a week but I also gained close to 5 lbs of lbm)
waist: 35 3/4 (-2 1/4 in ~ would be lower if I had stuck perfectly and done the 8 weeks, but Im satisfied for now and will get to 32-30 in waist on my next cut)
arms: R: 13 1/2 L: 13 1/8 (+1/2 on R, and + 1/8 on L~ :))
Chest: 39in (- 1in and more musclular.)
Upper Legs: R: 23 1/4 L: 23 (-1/2 in on R, and - 1/4 on L)
calves R:13 1/2 L:13 3/4: (-1 on R, and -1 in on R~ legs have become very low bf and more muscular)


Well this has been the best investment I have ever made. In the past weeks I have gotten an idea of the nutrition that will work to achieve my goals and the training to match. Mistakes that I had made in the past were corrected and put to rest and the results show it. Even after starting 2 1/2 weeks and a few nasty moments of weakness I was able to accomplish a 3-4% drop in bf, and a 5-7 pound increase in lbm. This may sound out of the realm of possibility but due to what I had been doing prior to working with Bobo it is quit understandable.

through this program I not only changed my views on nutrition( i ate clean but never had timeing and combos down) but also my training. Previouse lifting consitied of mass over tranining and 3-10 on everything. THe exercises preformedon this program were not only new (a few atleast) but even the ones I had preformed in the past were refreshing.

Now even though I have not gotten down to single digit bf as I had hoped I feel that with the muscle mass I am currently at it would not be something I would wish to do. That is why I made the decision to end the cut now and instead continue with Bobo and bulk until early to mid January and add as much mass as possible. I will then see if Bobo is avialable for one last cut prior to tennis season and after that I will if all works out be at around 190-210 (190 is doable, 210 is my reach) at or around my ideal bf. Now I realize that to achive my long term goal of one day being 235-245 at around 7-8% is a long long way off, but the one thing that will guarantee my arrival of this is the understanding of sound nutrition principles and the ones Bobo offers.

Now this may sound like a fla nutrition suck up but the results that I have achieved even with the setbacks I caused myself is remarkable. It may be impossible to convince skeptics who are considering Bobo's use but if you truely want the body of your dreams this is the way to go.


I will not be posting pictures up now as personally I dont feel I am ready, however I am keeping track of them and following my final cut with hopefully Bobo's assitance I will have pre first cut pictures, after first cut/pre bulk pictures, post bulk pictures, and then in March I will have my final cut shots and pre on my own training. Im sorry that I cant post pictures now I just feel this is the best way to do it.

Im not very good at wrapping up logs/ what ever but I think this covers all aspects and my thoughts of these last two months/ aspirations of the future. I will post up the final stats tommorow.


I am not starting a new thread for the bulk but will instead keep this one going and just start the bulk part... and then recontinue cut later.

Beggining Bulk Part of Log Tommorow

Well I got my plan today and am pumped to start the plan tommorow. Will post up intial thoughts and everything tommorow after I get a feel for it. And as ussual will keep a log of measurments and daily feelings of workouts. I am pumped to begin this bulk
 
Bulk Day 1

Diet 100%

Well today was the first day of the bulk and all I can say is Im loving life. The food is great and surpisingly I wasnt blown away by the amount. I was worried it was going to be a rediculousle amount but I feel like I could get more down (but that will be later :))

Best part of the program so far is the added carbs, the whole eggs instead of egg whites, and just the knoweldge that I am going to get bigger.


Im looking forward to the next few months and cant wait to see what happens.

Bulk Day 2

Diet 100%

Well today was leg day and it was good. Meals were awsome but I realized something that I hadnt experienced before. 6 eggs can do quite a number on your, well "intestinal release" all I have to say is that after I eat that meal stay clear!

loving the food and the training. I took first measurments today will post tommorow and also take pictures on Saturday (need new camera batteries) so I can keep a photo log for March :)
 
Im just gonna keep it in this one, and use it as one long Cut - Bulk - Cut then wrap up pictures.

I have to wai ton Bobo's ok but I was planning on running cvm xtreme with maybe powerful or something else (have to be mindful pf price though because of costs being consumed by new reef tank...) but I will porbbaly be starting a log over in the supplement review section (which would also serve as a primary bulk log..) Just have to wait on Bobo's thoughts and decide on what supp I want to try.
 
Bulk Day 4

Diet 98%
ran out of all bran this morning so had a cup of oatmeal instead:blink:

Anyway this was the first rest day of doing no training and just resting in a while and I cant say that I dont mind it!

Heres my updated stats that I took on Wednesday. I will post them up now and then re weigh in next Saturday which will start my weekly updates to track everything (dont see a point to do it this weekened..)

Times to go eat again and I am HUNGRY! I am hungry all the time... its rediculouse. Im hungrier now than I ever was on the cut.. As I finish meal 1 I think about meal 2 (am I insane??) I guess its all good though since its clean and food = my goal (with alot of other stuff)

Bobo I just had a question about the last meal of the day, I emailed you them but I remembered you said you were having some computer problems. I just wanted to give you the heads up on it. Its not urgent so when ever you get it is cool.
 
try drinking the eggs....you dont get as full and might not have that problem. I just finished a dozen by crackin em and drinkin em one by one...not nearly as painful as eating 12 eggs.

Also, i think u made the right choice to stop cutting.....with more lean mass on you you might look leaner....
 
yea dude thats what I was thinking. With the added muscle I am hoping to appere bigger and leaner, and when I do my next cut more muscle will really help and Ill have something to cut down to.

You drinking whole eggs? Always thought that was never really an option. Im still at the point where I can stomach the omlettes (cant stand egg whites at the moment, but whole eggs are still tolerable) but when I hit that wall I will have to try this to get em down.

Chest day was amazing today. Hit PRs on incline and dips! Im so pumped to see what I weigh in at next saturday. Im not getting my hopes up too much but I just cant wait..

Plan as been awsome. Only problem thus far has been forcing down that last meal but its been getting done.
 
i never fathomed eating them raw either.....i tried it once and never went back.

if your last meal id what i htink it is...yeah it is a ***** sometimes...esp when its cold in the middle :aargh:
 
yea that happened to me the other night, it was like eating really bad sushi, but I cant even taste it anymore as I just put it in my mouth and then down water and swallow..

but I worked it out and no more fillets, just c/c :D

Blasted back today and w/o was awsome. Did a ton of yard work so I had a little extra protein/carbs in meal 3 (added some shrimp and some barilla plus) didnt want to risk going into a cal deficit.

Rest day tommorow so get to just sleep in and eat :D

Rest day and that concludes week 1. Weight update this Saturday.. Rescue Me is on now and then cottage cheese and bed.

Tris workout was good today, weights went up easier than last week and I added weight onto the skull crushers (which are killers after the prior tri stuff.) I was a little worried though because I hyperextended my elbow a bit playing tennis a little while ago and today while doing pushdowns I really felt it. It sorda faded off but I just worked through it so I hope it goes away by next week.

other than that still loving the bulK and am excited for the second weigh in on Saturday!

Legs were good today. Set a new PR on the leg press, but I hate lunges with every fiber in my body. Bu they absolutley blast my legs (already feel the sorness and cant walk~ tommorows gonan be fun) so I dont really give a ****.

Bis were good hit some prs on the incline curl which was cool. Diet was awsome and ate everything (and a little beef jerky :))

Tommorow is the first weigh in! Im hopinhg to maybe soo a pound but if not still early and only week 1.. However I am worried because I forget where aorund my waist I measured so Im hoping this doesnt skew the measurments (i dont know if it was a inch or two or directly below navel, but Ill dfigure it out)

Rest day. Did some yard work and hit my knee with a chainsaw... not to pretty but should be ok and nothing major.

Well for a week and a half of lifting and eating Im very satisfied.. Its hard to measure in the same exact spot but these are very accurate imo. I feel the some of the weight is from water as I have upped my water intake alot (I would say atleast the .8 could be from water? I have felt strength gains in alot of exercises and I can tell my arms are bigger and the measurments show that.

Ill keep eating and training and hoping for the best and if numbers keep going up and the right ones stay the same or go down (I can hope :D) then Ill be satifised.

very pleased with the first week and a half weigh in and weekkly updates from now on every Saturday.

Bulk Day 12

Diet 100%

Chest routine was awsome today and the workouts just keep getting better.

Unfortunetly I will be going on college visits Monday and comming back Midday Wednesday. Good news is no misssed workouts (going to do back before I leave tommorow~mom was pretty mad about that, and Ill do wednesday workout in the afternoon when I get back) Diet wont be 100% but I will be packing a bunch of chicken on whole wheat wraps and try and eat at subways and try to get salads with chicken and such. Diet wont be 100% but it sure as hell wont be bad.

so until wendsday..
 
Bulk Day 13-15

Diet: Away on Trip so I did the best I could do

Well I didnt miss any workouts, did back morning before I left and did chest and tris today after I got back. First day I basiclly ate everything I would have if I was at home (minus the eggs.) Tuesday and Wednesday I was able to even eat my exact breakfast and stuck to steaks and veggies for dinner. Had a crap load of beef jerky and I dont want to see another salty peice of beef for a very long time. I didnt like the feeling of not eating what I wanted to but I feel I did a pretty damn good job (no junk...)

And despite being away my weights didnt go up today on chest and tris but the last reps were easier.. Good to be back :)
 
Bulk Day 16

Diet 100% I was really hungry after leg day so I had half a grilled chicken wrap with letuce ontop of my normal food, very hungry aha

lunges were a killer today and I was resting towards the end reps because my legs were shot from earlier but got through it and even managed to add 20lbs on the lunges so it was a very good day. I have a tennis tournament on Saturday so I hope I can move :squat:
 
Bulk Day 17

Diet 95% ~ran out of brocolli so I will not be able to have any today will get some tommorow


Hit new prs on bicep curl and a.press today so :head:. PRS just keep comming.

Legs are getting very sore and stiff so Im a little worried about tommorows tennis hopefully I can move
 
Bulk Day 18 and 19

Diet 75%, and 100%

75% on day 18 because I was rediculously busy and had to drive up to White Plains to pick up nnew aquarium so I missed a meal. I had a portion of it but I wasnt able to get it completly in (I had only 6 oz of the chicken and half a bagel.. so it wasnt complete ****.)

I had to play a long intense tennis match from 10:30 to 1 so I am a little worried if I was even in a cal excess yesterday (did have a gatorade during so that helped.) I have another match today and will workout tonight instead of the morning and make sure to get in all the food and a little extra (to make up for todays match)

Thats about it, I got updates yesterday so Ill post them up
