It is amazing how there is a certain mental sickness on this site that seems to slowly infect us all....

In all honestly I normally try to keep my creepy / completely inappropriate side off of public forums. In everyday life when not in writing I am pretty crass, full of nonstop one liners and innuendo. I spend a lot of time deleting posts, or rewording things online to be respectful to others, and or to maintain a somewhat conservative social media presence.

I think I honestly got much better about it once posting in love2liftkat and puccah8808 's logs and trying to be respectful of them. Next thing I knew I was paying more attention to what I was saying / typing as to not be a tool around the ladies. Good thing they love us anyway and like it when we just be guys around them. But still my just being a guy can get a bit over the top sometimes.

My buddy's dad mentioned to me once that if there is a line someone is afraid to cross with a comment or joke that I would find a way to do it successfully. That it was just in my nature. It's a pretty true statement. My mind goes to that next step and often my mouth just says it even if maybe I should keep it to myself. LOL

Oh I make no bones about it. There is the public & social media world where things are documented, written, quoted and often out of context. In that realm, I am just careful how I express myself. Employers look at stuff like that too. I am not worried at all about how someone perceives me in person but don't want sketchy stuff floating out there to be found...

More than anything I would say me calming things down like for the ladies has to do with me being considerate of them. I don't mind joking about the homoerotic stuff at all because noone who knows me would believe it. When it comes to the ladies though I tend to try and behave a bit more appropriately...

Right now though, the PEDs are kicking in and I am just blurting out stuff. LMAO!

Tonight was BBQ night with friends. One of them is the local MMA champion, my daughter needs some lessons for self-esteem, daddy's friend is the number one trainer in Bananaland.

Daughters need to learn self defense. When I taught karate there was a young girl that was so “afraid” to hit anyone. They were taught that girls don’t hit anyone. Fast forward 10 years and she saved her own life from a boy she was on a date with. He wanted sex and wasn’t taking “no” for an answer. He was in the hospital after she insisted “no”. She was pretty beat up herself. He was charged with attempted rape and battery.

My daughter is the typical "princess type", it worries me. Predators always chose the weakest, my hope is that she gets more confident. Its not only for being applicable in a emergency situation -its about self consciousness and coordination. I remember when I was 2 years into karate and judo, everything changed for me. Being more confident radiates outwards -thugs think twice jumping you, if you can look em straight in the eye.

This is something that makes you two WAY smarter than the average population. There are a ton of studies showing that once a woman is "victimized" she is something like 50% more likely to become victimized again. Not to put the blame on the victim, but the theory that comes out of these studies is that predators can sense their prey. Women who are afraid to hit back, or have been weakened by abuse (again, obviously not their fault) carry themselves in a certain way and act in a certain way towards threats and they become easy targets for douchebags.

Someone recently told me about a story where their daughter was being stalked by someone who worked at a restaurant with her. The mother went to the manager of the restaurant and the police, etc. and I thought to myself how she was giving her daughter the WRONG idea. She was teaching her daughter she couldn't deal with it herself and it wasn't her place to deal with it. If it was my daughter I would have said, "If this happens, here is how you defend yourself. Here is how you hurt someone badly in short order, especially if they underestimate you because they think you're just a woman." This kind of thinking empowers and often sends the signal to a predator before things escalate even.

I have another friend who pointed out that he and another guy just went through the same things with their sons. Both of their sons were being bullied at school - punched for no reason, pushed, etc. They both told there son, next time that happens you hit him and you keep hitting him until an adult pulls you off. The sons both said, "Really? I'll get in trouble." Both fathers told them they didn't care and they don't need to take that crap from anyone and if it came to that, they had their kids' back.

Both fathers noted that neither of their sons ever had to hit the bully and the bullying in both situations stopped - just the fact the boys were empowered to defend themselves allowed them to get the message through to the bully that it was over.

No bully wants to deal with crazy and unpredictable prey. My son actually did it, together with his friend, a fat kid. They jumped the bully and stomped him on the ground. We had to talk to his parents and the director afterwards -but it was so worth it!

Yep, and that is why I raised this Black Belt here with the Eye of the Tiger!!!! You are going to have to be pretty committed to try and force this one to do your will! You don't get a look like that without the confidence you can handle your own business. That and whooping up on boys during sparring helps too!!!!

Absolutely, it is a massive confidence builder and the discipline that comes from it carries over to everything else. Plus she has a leg up on most people when it comes to physical activity due to the control she now has over her body!

Haha that how I dealt with my bully. I was a freshman(very strong freshman but a freshman none the less). Well I was getting picked on by a senior, who was the captain of the wrestling of team.(he had bone to pick with me as my brother bullied him lol). So I got sick and tired of it so I walked up to him punched him in the throat as hard as i could. Motherfcker didn't show up to school for week and never even looked at me again. NO ONE ever fuked with me either after that at all throughout highschool.

When going heavier, I have to watch not to use traps -and don't forget to cut the callus on your hands regularly, the drag curl might rip it right off.

After injury I changed diet to 3 meals -but watching cals. Have to provide nutrients constantly to promote healing.
227lbs start weight, today 211.5lbs.

Not much visible changes, I may have gained some muscle while losing fat. Strength is good, above normal. Training is now centered around lagging parts, like legs, especially calfs.

LOL, okay, will move the weights quicker -and pee while standing, instead of sitting. That shall do it! :)
 
Knees are much better since I'm doing leg presses. As soon as the shoulder is healed I will do some form of cardio. No running -or mindless staring at a wall. I'm thinking of anything martial arts related, probably some heavy bag and light sparring -but I would need a partner (victim).
