Not so great being big...

i dont' mind being big, there are some things that pi$$ me off though about it. I do hate how some people get freaked out because of the size, and if you don't smile 24/7 they think your pissed when your really not. The stupid a$$ bodybuilder jokes with protein and balls shrinkage gets annoying too with freinds. I hate how some chicks don't even care alot of times if your bulky or just overall big, unless your one of these little 100ibs little $hits with shreadded abs everyones like "ohhhh awwwww". I hate how people are bug me when i try to workout that ask me dumb questions about what i take and crap, its not that i don't like helping people out but when i mean they go off topic talkin about their cuzins grandpa who used to lift and im standing there wasteing time with my workout and loseing my pump feeling i get pi$$ed. O ya another thing, i HATEEEEEEEEE when i go to the grocery store and im stalking up on eggs the stupid lady at the cash register thinks im going to egg someones house because i have like 7 cartons in shopping cart. haha.....thats just a few things that kinda tic' me off, but overall im thankful to be a part of the sport, ha i like the attention, well most of it. haha

simple fix here... quit dressing in your little brothers shirts, maybe wear something that doesnt showcase the guns! i love being underestimated, and when people see me in the gym, they are like "wow! i had no idea you were in such good shape!" i just heard that yesterday.

Yes! Basically the same s*** with me bro. The protein and shrunken balls stereotyping gets old, indeed. And people thinking your'e mad cuz your'e big is definetely a big one. The 100 pound little $hits with abs is halarious. F***, if all I did was cardio and didn't drink a shake every 2 hours, I could easily have a six pack... although I'd probably be a puny squeek. Your'e definetely on the same page as me though, as far as realizing the bs we endure.

No dude, you don't understand. I don't wear tight clothes. I'm f***in wide bro. Tight shirt, loose shirt, sweat shirt- I still look huge. When the shirt comes off, I look huger... but I don't have to take it off to look like I lift.

I don't want to sound like I'm whining. I'm not. I just want to hear everyone's experience and hear people admit that the attention is not always positive. Don't get me wrong. I love the sport. I love being big. I'm slowly getting used to the awkward stares and sarcastic comments.

I just thought I would chime in on this as this post really hit home with me. Why can't people understand that we look the way we do because of pure dedication and self-sacrifice!?...Oh yeah, it's because they don't have the drive and dedication that we do to be like us :). That's all it is guys, it's people wishing they have what we have :). I always keep that in mind when the ignorant masses start to make stupid, meaningless comments. They can't understand how you can live the way you do and how you can eat the same BLAND and DULL food EVERYDAY (hence the egg situation). Just take it as a compliment brothers and move along :D. Oh, and dude as a fix to people talking to you in the gym just wear headphones and bring your own music. Even if you don't have music just wear headphones and act like you're listening to it and it will keep everyone who wants to make you have a 10 minute rest between sets instead of a 1 minute at bay :D. Works like a charm. But no matter what the comments you have to admit, ain't nothin like when you get shredded for a comp and those people can't even say an ignorant comment because their mouthes are WIDE OPEN :D. Just my .02. Be good guys.

wear a pillow under ur shirt so ppl will just think ur fat, this society is used to seeing that.

its even better when the headphones arent plugged into anything and clearly visible that they arent.....yet u still bob ur head and play the air drums.

...cause then they just think ur crazy and stay far farrrrrr away :D

my bad man, i wasnt attacking you. i was just saying in general i like to hide my muscles, and you DO see alot of guys who lift alot wearing shirts and pants that are way too tight

I'm not big like the guys in this thread but it might be because you can't just keep increasing shirt size and not end up wearing something that looks like a dress. Jackets are the worst, I have naturally wide shoulders and I'm short so I have to have them tailored because often they come down nearly to my knees and the sleeves go past my hands.

I'll wear a black wife-beater and wind pants to wal-mart, just because the fatties wear them stretched over their beer bellies. Gives 'em a reason to hate ;D

I do like jeans and a t-shirt that's snug across the chest, and tight on the arms.

I used to be fat when I was younger :D

I used to be a fat slob too up till 39. Now I wear a wife beater everywhere ;)

actually easy...im amazed at the changes you have made in your physique...abadabbas look great in the new avi bro....keep up the hard work!

as for the rest of you....lol at this thread....your not that big....

and its at around 205 at 5'9.5" so pretty thick too. i'll be posting some logging pics soon for a liposolve log

HAHA!! True that brother! However, its hard to keep the people away if you have any kind of bodybuilder physique as people are amazed by seeing someone who is in GREAT muscular shape vs someone who is just in "decent" shape. The headphones are def the way to go though for instand crowd control :D.

Yea it's "normal" for a man to look 15 months pregnant but if your torso has a greater diameter than your waist, you're some kind of freak... must be on roids or something.

I don't think I am. I said I was huge earlier but that's really just my description of other people's perception- who don't lift.

Personally, I'm trying to get like you, mooch...:wink1:

well, if you cant see your abs and your 5'11 220 then im going to assume that im a little bigger and leaner than you...trying to be like me would be an admirable goal, son. On the other hand, go to a top amateur or pro show...that will really give you some perspective on BIG! Some poor kid telling a guy whose 6'0 and 215 that he can f#ck his girlfreind cuz hes so hyooge, is a joke. In the grand scheme of things...you and i are not "big" at all.

a guy i train with is 6'1 and on his last bulk got up to 270, thats getting pretty "BIG". But even then hes nowhere near the biggest guy around. Chulcey Graham is a freind of mine....that monster walks around at 5'6 and 260, with abs, in the off season....thats pretty f#ckin big!

fellas, I see a lot of insecurity here. Not knockin anyone but, when you eat like a horse, train like an olympian, and dabble in aas here and there, youre gonna get noticed. What would you expect? You look proudly into the mirror at your years of dedication and hard work, but feel disconnected and unappreciated by the "norm." I mean, guys, when you weigh 250 at 5'9" and 11%-3% BF people are going to assume you work out to look good. When people assume you maintain an enormous physical stature for looks, it comes off as youre trying too hard to impress people, or youre incredibly self absorbed. When I see huge muscles and tight clothing, I think that person's indirectly screams "LOOK AT ME." You work out to be bigger than everyone else...and now that you are...people are going to instantly judge you based on whatever THEY think you're about. Theres nothing you can do about it, but if it really bothers you, drop some weight. It really doesnt matter, you cant change everyone else's opinion, just yours. Be comfortable in the skin your in, dont fake a smile to ease people's nerves, dont wear loose clothes, dont change for other people. You built yourself, deal with it. chances are most you big fellas could smear the little sh*t talkers (unless theyre trained and youre not), so dont sweat it. If you want to fit in, end the gym membership and camp out at mcdonalds. If that doesnt sound appealing, then keep doin what youre doin because it makes YOU happy. I forgot where I was going with this.

Being a monster comes with the price: frightened villagers and torches.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Physique wise, you MIGHT be 1 status step ahead of me. Certainly an attainable goal. But FYI, I respect your knowledge on this forum.

I've been to an ametuer show, not a top one, but the boys looked small. Cut, but small.
