Sup bud,
Focus XT is the best comprehensive product out there IMO. For $14, you have all your nootropic bases covered. Stack it with aniracetam for optimal cognitive function.
Hey man,
Had a feeling you'd chime in on this one. How do you dose these types of products? Is it something you just take while studying or on a regular bases for some sort of cumulative effect?
Nootropics are best used for a cumulative effect. You'd appreciate my pre-MCAT study regimen. 3 products: Focus XT, Aniracetam, and Pramiracetam.
Nootropics generally work by subchronically elevating acetylcholine, which is obviously implicated in memory formation and retention. Thus, Focus XT will improve sharpness/alertness, memory formation, and memory recall/retention. Racetams have a wide array of effects depending on the type you are using, but they seem to not only improve memory but also elaboration of thought.
Very cool. I wonder what I'll be like after trying these supplements. I have deff noticed a decrease in focus and attention span over the past few years, still getting through it all just fine but I could deff be more efficient.
I would highly recommend 1 scoop of Focus XT + 1.5g Aniracetam, both first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, for 1-2 months. No need to use the aniracetam or focus XT at any other time of day. You're after the subchronic effects, which after a few weeks will present themselves in all your day-to-day activities.

are nootropics safe? are the safe for long term use? can they be mixed with a mild pre such as white flood? do the effect the CNS? just some questions... thanks.
Most nootropics are actually neuroprotective. I would recommend cycling anything, but subchronic use is the way to go. They can certainly be mixed with white flood. They are not CNS stimulants.
besides the 200 mg caffeine![]()
I thought he was talking about general nootropics, not focus XT![]()
Been lurking a while, reading a ton on this as I've been after the same kind of thing. This forum rocks! I just ordered my first round of supplements based on what I've read over a number of threads here (Thanks mr.cooper69, you are a fountain of knowledge in this realm). I bought a tub of Focus XT, SAN ALCAR (750mg), and 500g of Piracetam. Looks like I may be picking up Na-R-ALA as I didn't grab this yet. Is the general concensus that Aniracetam is overall superior to Piracetam?
I'm going to try this stack for the next month and I'm excited to try it, but may swap out the Piracetam for Aniracetam to compare if others are seeing better results/effects...
I have never used a supplement for memory or focus before (besides something simple like caffeine) so I was hoping to get some suggestions for good products that are out. Names of separate ingredients I can further research would be helpful as well.

I started doing some research on the racetams and it is about the most interesting thing I have read about in recent memory. I love the topic of nootropics, and I am always looking for information on sups that really work. These seem to be universally agreed upon as working well, but experiences seem to differ depending on which one people take. Is there a general sense on how each will affect a person with regards to memory, anxiety, and emotional well being? The main three I see popping up are ani, pra, and pir.
Do you have any experience with aniracetam? That seems to be the one I am reading the most favorable reviews on.
What is your first? I just ordered aniracetam a couple minutes ago and am pretty excited. I tend to be someone that is highly affected by nootropics, so I love them.

Awesome. Really what I want it for is my meetings. I deal with exec level people day and day out in critical times, so I really need to be sharp and better than everyone else in the room. Or at least give the perception that I am. haha. When you are mentally firing on all cylinders and on top of speaking, the confidence is through the roof. From what I have been reading with regards to the level of detail that you think and speak with on Ani- it sounds like a winner. We'll see how it goes.
They are extremely user-dependent, but their pharmacology and effects on a neurophysiological level are fairly well known, mostly for piracetam.
your PMs are full. But, EC + alcar = acute brain winning.
Have I ever let you down?![]()
Day 2 on aniracetam and I am definitely one of the people that is energized on this. The first day I took a cap (750mg) and started feeling a racing feeling in about 20 minutes. About 15 min after that, I found that I was in a laser focus on whatever I stared at- which I don't know if it is normal. When I am involved with something, I am 100% involved mentally, but I feel a little slow switching from one thing to another because I have so much focus on what I am involved with. So it's like a split second readjustment. The same thing today, but I am really noticing the energy in my head. It's like I want to figure stuff out and not just do my normal work on my computer. I am taking 750 in the morning with a 120mg of rhodiola and 300mg of alpha GPC and then the same at about 2:30pm.
If anyone had experience with this let me know if this sounds right. I really like it and know that being this "on" might take adjustment.

Very nice...Look like Coop has you covered all the way around....true story, when deciding on a user name, he nearly went with Mr.Nootropic69....aranoid:
do any of these give you a big mood boost? I've been kinda down lately and wanted to try some nootropics for mood boosting. Not so much about the cognitive effects, just to feel good. I know stims like slim xtreme used to do this but i like to avoid stims nowadays.
Thanks.

kisaj said:Yes I realize that I am actually bumping my own comments, but this is such an interesting supplement to me that I feel the need to almost log it. So, I have really been noticing the anti anxiety part of this more than anything. Being in situations that I know normally get my temper up or that I get annoyed in, have all but vanished in only this short amount of time. I simply don't care- or better said, things just don't bother me all of a sudden. It's not like I am artificially happy, I just feel calm in my mind. My wife asked me today if I was ok. I said sure, why? She told me that in the last couple days that it seemed like I was disconnected or that I was thinking of something. Maybe it looks like that on the outside, but I just feel a clear mind that isn't getting rattled by every little thing. It is very comforting and I could see that this would enable better thinking and speaking. I don't recognize any benefits to this point with memory or recall.
mr.cooper69 said:I personally find them all most effective on an empty stomach
Some you need to take with fat, like aniracetam.
You by no means need to take aniracetam with fat. Its water solubility is 2.47g/L; thus, uptake will be fine but BBB permeability will actually be higher. All of this in the absence of fat.
cooper, is oxiracetam better than other members of the racetam family for cognitive function??
