What's a viper? Besides a snake.
One motion clean into strict press. Like how Eddie Hall does it. As soon as it hits the rack position you press it.

Nice pressing! How was high bar with the cambered bar?
425x3x3 @8.5RPE is actually not bad for me, regardless of bar, raw strength is coming back...Biotch of a bar. Good stuff.
I lol'd when I saw the 70lb jump to 565 then a miss....that'd be a helluva jump to such a high effort beltless pull, nevermind after all the cambered squats!
Heavy seated DB ohp always makes me feel like a bro....then I remember how weak my #s are. But it feels heavy to me!
I used to do it regularly and my OHP was much stronger, I use to push the 90's, need to get back there.

Sitting a little deeper into the lap position should help with your log and stones FWIW.
That way its already sitting as high on your chest as possible before exploding out of the bottom position.
Been working on that, even what you saw is an improvement. Between my bad knee and limited mobility, it's only a little far off as good as it gets...

Come on now, I have a bum knee too and still sat deeper than that at TSM when my back was locked up from the herniation.
I know it's hard to think about when the stone is heavy as ****, but it will really make a difference with the ease of loading and conserving as much energy as possible in contests. I know you can get lower than that, its just a matter of doing it.
Practice with lighter stones as many times as it takes for it to become second nature and you probably won't ever have to worry about it again.
Lol fine man...
But seriously, bum knee is temporary from partially tore hamstring. It's something I'm still dealing with but I'll be trying to sit deeper with my next log session, trust me.
Well, I'd be careful with that hammie for a while with the heavier stuff. But I think you will be OK to sit down with the lighter stones.
Honestly, when I lap a stone I usually just sit back against my calves and use the weight of the stone/log to counterbalance. That would be your best bet IMO.
Stop slacking Nomz. You're spending too much time with the campus culture club kids.
Nomz so basic.....
^^^^^^private^^^^^^ can't watch it
Very cool - awesome to watch it all after reading, and the speed up kept it moving along. Idk how the f you made that yoke look so easy - I tried to get under 570 after pulling the other weekend when a buddy was practicing out back and I got it like 10 ft maybe. It was swinging around like pendulum on me and I was basically staggering in a zig zag.
Go get 'em, tiger.

Thanks people, ended up failing hard at my best event (stones), going from 9th (log), to 5th (and possibly top 3 if I perfomed well on the stones), to finishing 7th.
Looked awesome, NomZ. You looked pretty strong in each event, to me.
