Just wanted to stop by and thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers....as the past couple weeks have been pretty rough for my 4 month old daughter. She was diagnosed with Neumonia a couple weeks ago and has just not been able to kick it. This past Friday she seemed to be getting worse and was having trouble breathing so we took her to the Doctor which immediately told us to go to the ER. Once we where there, her oxygen levels were in the 70's-80's and they admitted her right away. She was immediately put on oxygen to bring her O2 levels up, and they proceeded to poke my little girl time and time again for blood (She's literally been poked atleast 12-15 times since being in). After many test, it came back that she has Parainfluenza Type 3 (A type of Flu). So not only does she have Neumonia, she contracted the Flu on top of it. She's been on Oxygen, IV, Antibiotics, and breathing treatments since Friday and seems to be doing better as of this morning. She was finally winged off the O2 yesterday evening, and only has to be on it while sleeping. Hopefully if the testing comes back good, and she can stay off the oxygen, she can come home soon. It's pretty scary and sad sitting back and seeing a 4 month old this sick, and knowing there is nothing I can do about it.
