All natty bro! Did over seven years in prison so I've done a few pull ups...... Been home 18 months and have been hitting free weights for about 15 months. BBody

Looking great man

How many grams of protein did you think you got in prison?

Ive always wanted to know how dudes got so diesel while in prison eating 3 square meals a day

This will support what Ive been saying for years - TOO MUCH protein is overrated

I look forward to your reply ;)

Thanks bro! Lots of supps are overrated man IMO! Hell our only pre workout was instant coffee and a mint stick. Lol. I doubt we even got 80-90 grams of protein per day. ( mainly from processed soy- mystery meats) every now and then we would get pork chops or chicken. Most meals were heavy on carbs and starchy veg. Commissary did sell things like tuna packs, ramen, whey , etc but they were so expensive ( plus you had a spending limit) that they made little difference. I must say that yoked prisoners is an exaggeration, because the majority was overweight and sloppy. That's just the majority though.... Lots of us just slammed coffee, ate hella carbs and "overtrained daily" and got jacked and swoll. Not supps just time and determination. A very competitive environment helped with motivation.

I appreciate the info. So sick of all the overhyped PROTEIN preaching "GURU's" who deceive the masses only b/c most of them have a hidden agenda - which is - they either directly/indirectly sell protein or get some sort of something from pimping it! LOL

Keep up the good work. Sweet delts and guns.

I agree with you on the protein bro. 1g/lb I've always believed was plenty also, though some people think they need 400g per day

Same here man. Im lucky to get in 1g/lb anymore when in maintenance mode. When cutting, yes, all day long.

i agree with the protein thing as well i do less then 1g a lb, i depend on my meals to get majority of my nutrition, protein when i dont have the time to get a good meal in. except for my postworkout shake of course

Wonder why no one on here talks about the effects of too much protein on the kidneys. They preach liver hepatocity but neglect this issue. The body can only absorb about 40g of protein every 4 hours, the rest gets passed. So if a guy ate around the clock(getting up @ night as well) he could only use 240g. So when a guy is sucking down 300+ a day, guess which bodypart is getting the real workout daily?? Kidney stones anyone?

finally! good point supra! someone needs to preach this to the guys overdoing the protein, really throwing away your money

I know what the body can basically absorb from reading articles and studies. One thing I haven't seen is if the body could possibly use more when in a enhanced anabolic state(ie. AAS). Like to see some studies on that.
