Told you guys overhead is my best lifts... i love doing those handstand pushups and at 271 it makes me fairly strong
 
Today's workout sucked first i went early 6pm and i hate every mfer in the gym which is y i go at 10pm normally, also my upper middle back is killing me from my attempt at kleens DB row competition like a week ago wtf!

Highlights were Spider row
180x8/8/8
Decline cable curl
97.5x8/8/6
Shrug no strap neutral grip
315x8/8/8/8
Seated db curls perfect form
50x6/6/6/6
Other junk but it was ugly
 
Spider row, is that just a BB row where your laying on an incline bench? I had a couple of bad days a week ago man got through them and came back better than ever. I almost thought my strength gains were done from natadrol but i was wrong it was just a funk! Youll recover and be back soon man.
 
great lift though wild man! I think all of us are going to be sore from Kleen's challenge!!!

The middle upper back is actually a very common place for a nerve like injury. It's one of the easiest to sustain actually, but the least painful in comparison to a lumbar region nerve pain, which is the sciatic nerve and that one will change your life. However, the middle upper back could either be a simple muscle strain, which does take about 2 weeks to heal (without aggravation) or its a nerve thing, which I can't really comment on in terms of recovery.

Generally speaking, a pinched nerve would require one of your vertebra to have become slightly displaced to the left or right, causing it to nudge against one of the nerves running along side your spine. Generally speaking, those kind of injuries require either a very abrupt jerk or carrying a large sum of weight at an odd angle (and odd angle could just mean having the weight placed only on one side of the body). Nerves don't really get pulled like a muscle, they get nudged by displaced bones or something that pushes against them. I'm betting its a serious muscle strain, which again, does take up to two weeks to heal (if not aggravated).

Sounds more like a lower trap strain. Try to stretch your neck diagonally down to the opposite side of where the pain is. Touch the right side of your chin to your upper chest or vice versa, depending on which side it is. It should hurt. If it hurts like it normally does when you stretch a sore muscle, then its a muscle strain, no biggie. Another indicator is you should be able to feel the entire strand of muscle being stretched and a bit painful. If it hurts like a sharp shooting pain and in a very small localized area that you can't overcome and it forces you to recoil back to a comfortable position in a heart beat, then it could be a nerve thing.

Nerve pain feels like a little, localized string and the pain will force you to recoil immediately back to a comfort position, generally speaking. Muscle strains generally cover larger areas and will effect the length of the muscle. They hurt, but usually won't make you recoil like a cat getting splashed with water.

"for me," I was still able to do back workouts, but primarily variations of pull ups, pull downs, almost any kind of vertical resistance that taxes primarily the lats, rhomboids, teres muscles. It's the horizontal resistance like rows or direct traps work like shrugs or deads I had to avoid. It really depends on where exactly your pain is. I would certainly avoid rows of any kind, shrugs or deads for a week or so.

It's not a serious injury, it's more of an annoyance. Stretch it a lot, take some ibuprofen, aspercream, fish oil.... etc. Any kind of anti inflammatory will help. I use ibuprofen and aspercream for a few days and it goes away.

Easily, you will not have any of that stuff. You will enjoy how amazed your freinds are that you are not participating in that part of it. You will revel in their praise of your resolve, and the knowledge that you have become a man of a different ilk. You can have a shot or two of crown with a diet coke on occasion man. Not like you can't get a small buzz. I did so occasionally all through my contest prep. Of course if you are feeling you are not on schedule then you will just avoid all of that and when they ask if you want a beer you say no smile, pull your shirt up and hit em with an abs/oblique shot. LOL I did this once with one of my buddies who was messing with me about having to be on my diet in a situation like that. I pulled my shirt up and said nope, I don't need that I have this...winked at him and laughed at the silliness of it. He said "Well sh*t, no wonder you don't want this stuff. "

Truthfully I love the ASGT on its own but I need to feel more pump in my wo and I just wanted to kill what I had laying around the house instead of getting something new to find it. About 3 weeks away from finishing what I have and getting the Anadraulic pump and the transdermal NO spray!

Man it is rough sometimes I just opt for the garage or whatever to avoid the gym during peak hours.

I hate these, they are a nagging issue. I can see how the DB Rows could bite you there if form took a small hit with the heavier weights. NCAA, If it means anything to ya I tweaked my shoulder a little hitting the 140x6 but man was I feeling awesome about it. Will probably try again next week with 150 and see what I can do with that.

Well sorry guys lifted today and hit 225x8/8 on seated military press, then tried same weight bnp and rehurt my trap,tried other lifts close grip bench dips Jenn press medicine ball pushups and pec deck and my elbow hurts like i threw 150 pitches ligament type pain so basically my body is telling me to take a few days off and i guess I'll listen this time

We can always talk and live vicariously threw my sham of a love life

Ouch! I hit myself hard enough one time I dropped the weight and just dazed for a second... I was going big boy with 185 and pulled with everything I had thinking it would be harder than it was. Thank God the bar went forward off my chin instead of knocking me backwards. I had that humming sound in my ears, just basically out on my feet.

Well guys dont piss me off so much any more so now my motivation is every girl who told me now wasnt a good time for them and they werent looking for a relationship, and then 2 weeks later they are dating some guy or 6 mo later engaged to one of my best friends...

OK I took 3 days off my back is still a little sore but Im gonna go to the gym tonight and tear sh!t up, then go out for a drink bc I found out today they are looking to move me to plant manager at work!

Find a wall kick ur shoes off put ur hands 18 in away and do a handstand u might need someone to help u get up there safely it takes some getting used to but its great and its a great way to win bets
 
Saw some vascularity today something i previously thought genetically impossible the pumps were crazy ill post the wo tomorrow but i ended it with 8 Rep db curls with 35/30/27.5/25/22.5/20/17.5/15 no rest between sets
 
I used to do those all the time when in Wu Shu but haven't in a few years. Since I had my shoulder surgery actually. I think I was walking on my hands one of the times I tweaked it and I fell straight to the ground instantly because I jerked my hand up off the ground to try to stop the pain. DUHRRRR!

Im gonna get that wo up and i am missing tonight's, big blowup at work not really my problem but i said ill come in 2.5 hrs early to fix it cuz im trying to be mr company till this promotion actually comes thru

I've smashed my face to the ground from shoulder push ups before and I even had my body up against a wall. Something fatigued, then smash and I saw the blue & black flash like when you get popped in the eye.
 
Yeah it sucks. Although if my shoulder weren't hurting now I would give these a shot. I had gotten good enough at them that my feet hardly touched the wall. Only when I lost balance and that was just a tap to regain balance. When I was in Wu Shu I got up to 5 or 6 free standing, IE... no wall before i would lose my balance.
