Natty T's Bodybuilding Log

alright guys i'm back again. schools back on so i have some computer access a little more frequently as soon as i get 20 bucks i'm dropping it on a gym membership for the semester.

i'm down to 235...that's the least i've weighed...since like...my freshman year of higschool...i'm gonna have to buy some new jeans cuz i look like a confused cowboy with my boots and baggy jeans...

i'll put pics up when i can but i'd say i'm down below 10% body fat now. i have veins all over the dang place...

i don't know if i mentioned this in a past post but i'm working about 80 hours a week...first job getting up at 7 am and unloading 18 wheelers, the second job is playing doorman/bouncer at a club from 9pm to 3 am so i'm not getting a whole lot of sleep right now...and i'm taking 17 hours so it's looking like it will be a long time before i get more regular access and time to post on her but i hope everyone is doing great.

take care and god bless.

Man, great to hear from ya again buddy!! Your a great motivation for me, thanks!! We're all there to support ya brother!!

dang bro you're hardcore!

keep up the good work and remember to breathe...not sure I could do that at all. 80 hrs/wk is a bit much for me.

so...just got out of class. won't be back on till monday (if i'm able to get on then.) hope all is well with everyone. i'm annoyed as heck cuz i'm 8 minutes late to pay for a gym membership here even though they're open until 10...oh well. i have some time to hit ya'lls blogs finally today so i'll be doing that as much as i can :D

Allright natty! good to have you back bro! Im not keeping a log anymore, hopefully I can resurrect it in the future but right now ive got just to much on my plate...

I know he does, I'm talking about his recent ones. Read where he dropped over 30 pounds and went from 20 something bf to under 10. That deserves major props.

thanks man. my cell that i used to post the last pics got eaten by a hound pup (well more like turned into a chew toy) and now i'm using an old one i call the duct tape beauty (imagine why?) as soon as i get a new phone (upgrade isn't available till december) or get a gf with a phone or a camera i'll post some up i promise.

do you still have a log pr?

sorry guys. busy busy last week.

finally got back into the gym yesterday for the first since...late april?

bent over rows- 135x 8x5
wide grip pull downs-no weights on the plates just number of plates-12 plates x 12x4
d.b. curls-45x8x3.

Take it slow, brother. You'll be back to your big ass self in no time. Just be smart.

BTW, I almost peed in my chair here at work when I read the thing about the library. Good stuff.

thanks guys :)

okay- wednesday was legs. didn't do much...but:
squats-225x8x2 275x8x2 225x8x2
lying leg curls- for some reason our plates at the school are just numbered so...12 platesx 4 sets of 12
leg extensions 25 plates x 4 sets of 12
kettle bell cleans- 4 sets of 2 minutes doing as many as i could
jump rope-10 sets of one minute (lol)
calf raises (free weight) 315 x 4 sets of 20

thursday was chest:
bench-215 x 2 sets of 5 185 x 4 sets of 8
inlcline bench (just a reminder to everyone, this kills my shoulders so i always stay low on the weights) 135x 2 sets of 15 using neg's
flyes-35's x 2 sets of 8
front, side, and bent over raises (rear delt head?) 30's x 3 sets of 8.
behind head tri press- 80 x 3 sets of 8
tri push downs 20 plates x 4 sets of 15 (tri pushdowns have always been too easy so i'll be trying to find something in that itty bitty gym to replace them or somehow add weight)

Nice to see some updates my man!! For tris, give decline close grip bench a try, if they have a decline bench. You can always throw some plates on your lap and do bench dips too. Good to hear from ya buddy!!

Great comeback! :D

thanks guys :)

I have to agree with ya Natty on incline bench seems like my shoulders are more susceptable to injury doing that but it does make the chest swell up lol...but your workout is looking good bro...

Hey Tex...I sent you a PM. Hopefully you take it in the way it was meant. lol

Looking good, brother. I saw someone doing kettle bell cleans the other day at my gym. Those look pretty brutal. But, at this point, for me there is no experimentation - which is what I'd be doing if I tried them! Anyway, keep up the hard work! Any plans to compete at some point? Just curious...

i'll be pm'in you back for info rant.

as for competing...i know you weren't here for all the ride but basically i started a log a while back to try to play football again...i was however experiencing a lot of memory loss and head aches and was going to the doc's for it...well i had a doc jump the gun and tell me i had chronic traumatic encephalopathy...long story short he basically said i had had so many concussions my brain was turning into mush and i was getting alzheimers.

then my mom started having medical problems and they found out she had celiacs deisease...then we started lookign at symptoms and side effects and realized with it's extremely high hereditar rate it was likely i had it to so we gene tested me and found out i had it...i'm now going on 3 and half months eating gluten free with only one accidental slip up (gf's dad made soup and i forget broth had gluten) and my headaches are completely gone...my body fat is down the lowest it's been since the last time i played football...my insomnia is gone my joints don't ache, my energy is up, my athletism is greatly improved...

i tell you all this...because i'm seriously toying with training towards football again. basically i follow my own theory in training...and i train like a bodybuilder with more emphasis in athletism (kettle bell cleans, box squats, jump ropes, jumping, all that junk...)

so...hopefully i'll be on a field next fall.

now to today-
back day.

deads-warm ups then 325x12 x 4 sets. this blew me away because deads always used to make me dizzy and just kill my endurance...these were easy and i would have gone up but the final two sets were a real strain to keep my back in perfect position. (had the baseball coach in my ear the whole time watching for me) to close out we dropped down to 225 for reps to failure using form.

t-bar rows- 4 plates x 4 sets of 12.

db curls- 45's x 3 sets of 8. bumped up a set from last week and kept better form.

ez bar curls-70 lbs to failure

did abs, and stretched before i had to jet off to class. still keeping things a little lighter...also mondays are the day i get up at 4 to unload the 18 wheeler for the next 10 hours and i hit the gym right after i get off....hoping to do sprints tomorrow after i hit the legs.

^correction, i only have a 10 minute break between work, class, class, class, and work so tomorrow my workout is trying to find time to eat.

Glad to hear all is back on track man, and that things are moving in a positive way for ya bro!! With your drive and determination, any thing is possible bud!!

ohh!! excellent news, my dad got a job so i put in my two weeks with the 18 wheeler job, and today the coach at the gym told me if i could get certified he'd bring me on there for 12 an hour...good thing about that is the gym opens at 8 and closes at 7 so no more god awful hours! :)

good for you natty, good things come to those who take the bull by the balls.

been thinking about doing kettle bell type exercises with dumbbells...need to improve my explosiveness and athleticism; since the knee injury I've been a complete pu$$y.

glad to hear about not having to do the tough physical job...they're good for you but while working out intensively you end up losing your ability to recover and suffer greatly for it.

actually...i was mostly excited about not having to get up at 4 :)

not when most nights i'm not getting off at the bar untill 3.

off day today...sitting in the library...and i have to make this statement. I FREAKIN HATE skinny leg jeans.

Now THAT'S a story! Holy cow, Tex. Glad to see you are back at full force after all of that.

Hit the gym again today. Had a cruddy day, fightin with the gf so i decided to hit the legs hard.

box squats (low ass ones, just below the calf) 275x8x4 225 x 8x5 225x5, x 4

one handed kettle bell cleans-8 on each hand for an unknown number of sets...basically till i couldn't explode up enough to lift the bell.

lunge squats with barbell...then body weight

bodyweight box squats trying to explode enough to jump up.

hanging leg raises- 4 sets of 12

decline crunches- 4 sets of god only knows

Ah....fighting with the gf, huh? Yeah, that little part of life can make your workouts crazy great or crazy sh*tty! Glad to see yours are the good kind! Hope things get better. There is nothing worse (for me anyway) when your relationship is strained for any reason.

Alrighty so today was chest:

D.B.B.P.: 65's x 15, 75's x 12, 80's x8x3 85'sx12

Incline B.B.B.P. 135 x 8 x 3 incline has really been hurting the last two times so i may take a break from it.

Cable Crossovers (high) 60 lbs x12 x 4

Cable Crossovers (low) 50 lbs x 10x4

Tri Press 90 lbs x 2 sets of 10, 2 sets of 8

Tri PushDowns 150 lbs x 3 sets of 10

after that did some body weight box squats to help stretch the DOMS from yesterday. then all my basic stretches. I'll be doing another probably...2 weeks maybe moer of this workout plan before i start hitting 5x3x1's or my own modified version of joe defrancos modified west side barbell plan.

Today Back
Dead lifts 325-2 sets of 12, 1 set of 10, 2 sets of 8
t-bar rows- 4 sets of 8 5 plates
curls-50'sx 8x3
reverse ez bar curls 70 x 8x3

all in all a very short day but had to get to class.

monday was legs...can't remember wht all i did but it was good :)
