okay- wednesday was legs. didn't do much...but:
squats-225x8x2 275x8x2 225x8x2
lying leg curls- for some reason our plates at the school are just numbered so...12 platesx 4 sets of 12
leg extensions 25 plates x 4 sets of 12
kettle bell cleans- 4 sets of 2 minutes doing as many as i could
jump rope-10 sets of one minute (lol)
calf raises (free weight) 315 x 4 sets of 20
thursday was chest:
bench-215 x 2 sets of 5 185 x 4 sets of 8
inlcline bench (just a reminder to everyone, this kills my shoulders so i always stay low on the weights) 135x 2 sets of 15 using neg's
flyes-35's x 2 sets of 8
front, side, and bent over raises (rear delt head?) 30's x 3 sets of 8.
behind head tri press- 80 x 3 sets of 8
tri push downs 20 plates x 4 sets of 15 (tri pushdowns have always been too easy so i'll be trying to find something in that itty bitty gym to replace them or somehow add weight)
as for competing...i know you weren't here for all the ride but basically i started a log a while back to try to play football again...i was however experiencing a lot of memory loss and head aches and was going to the doc's for it...well i had a doc jump the gun and tell me i had chronic traumatic encephalopathy...long story short he basically said i had had so many concussions my brain was turning into mush and i was getting alzheimers.
then my mom started having medical problems and they found out she had celiacs deisease...then we started lookign at symptoms and side effects and realized with it's extremely high hereditar rate it was likely i had it to so we gene tested me and found out i had it...i'm now going on 3 and half months eating gluten free with only one accidental slip up (gf's dad made soup and i forget broth had gluten) and my headaches are completely gone...my body fat is down the lowest it's been since the last time i played football...my insomnia is gone my joints don't ache, my energy is up, my athletism is greatly improved...
i tell you all this...because i'm seriously toying with training towards football again. basically i follow my own theory in training...and i train like a bodybuilder with more emphasis in athletism (kettle bell cleans, box squats, jump ropes, jumping, all that junk...)
so...hopefully i'll be on a field next fall.
nice to see this league keep on going...keep killin it
