A great being once foretold that you are either hot, or cold. And if you are lukewarm, you will be spat out :afro: 90% of our populations is lukewarm/cold, no one has the heat of fiery passion anymore.
 
In MT's defense I will say they are marketing geniuses. In Searl's defense I will say he is usually cool except 3 or 4 days out of the month. :laugh2:

Uhhh have you ever been employed by them? We are never REQUIRED to push muscletech. Of course people did because of the high commission they paid employees to sell their products. Howeveer, if you read another one of my threads, you will see my points about how ****ty muscletech is as well as their sugar filled supplements. I just think that was a post that wasn't entirely true.

If something has a higher commission then wouldn't that be motivation to push something by those that decide how commissions are paid? I am paid 100% on commission so I can relate.

LOL it's cool. :yup: i think it's safe to assume the protocol varies from GNC to GNC. i'm sure there's some managers that cross that fine line between 'incentive' and 'obligation'. you know, they say it w/o ACTUALLY saying it ;)

Thank you. I was just clarifying the requirement and desire difference to sell MT. In all honesty, most companies have cut commissions greatly because of the economic times so everyone is making less. I've always tried to help people out and steer them away from 600mg caffeine fat burners and onto asking diet questions and working from there. It's hard for people that come in to realize that its a supplement and not the end all be all to a diet/workout regiment.

I hope they have you train the new employees. There's not a doubt in my mind that you surpass the majority of GNC managers.

lol yes I am a manager. I do train my employees to ask lifestyle questions not simply to run to a certain product. GNC makes some stuff that is decent for the typical weekend warrior (mostly protein/multi related). I never downplay any company but I do give people the facts. for instance today, a couple came into buy a fat burner and i asked them what their workout regiment was, any prexisting conditions with hypertension or diabetes, any CNS issues. the lady said she was hypertensive and could I have made 5 bucks selling hydroxycut? hell yeah I could have but not I didn't. She still wanted to do a fat burner so we compromised and got her some Recreate (what I recommended first) and a meal replacement to help with hunger. Could I have sold them both fat burners and wasted their money? Yes, because I am a good salesman but i believe that helping people out and having them take things that work, won't hurt them, and have some merit are better. That results in future sales and my job stability. :afro:

if i worked at GNC, it was because i need to pay bills, like everybody else there,

so i would push whatever would help me pay my bills first.

of course managers make more money, so they have more slack at the end of the week but a general worker needs to get payed.

From this fighting man in the desert, I would stay as far from MT as possible. Tried just about all of them for multiple cycles, mostly because the magazines told me to. After a lot of frustration and finally finding AM, I have the education to make more informed choices, which is what AM is all about. The discussion above as well as the others like it just add to this education. In the end, each dude out there must make their own choice... Shakespeare said it best, "to spend or not to spend, that is the question." This Army Guy chooses the later.

Yeah Harry Potter I was employed by GNC, until I told my manager I'd slit his throat if he ever made me push that junk, black tar heroin, maybe, MuscelTech, NEVER. And how can u tell me a post isnt the truth? Did you work in my store? No. So keep your stupid comments to yourself.

I can safely and truthfully say GNC doesn't require its employees to push muscletech. GNC is in reference to the corporation and not frachisees. Like he stated, it varies from store to store chill out.

Let me clear the air on the first post by LiveWire, the "REQUIRED" reference was to STRONG of a word(would i have got fired for not pushing MT? NO, wrong word choosen,). I was TOLD to PUSH PUSH MuscelTech when dealing with supps, NOT PUSH LG Science, NOT PUST Gaspari, NOT PUSH AX, NOT PUSH USPLabs. So, their is an underlying issuse going on with MuscelTech and GNC(Do I care? NO). And that issue is prolly kickbacks to GNC. Does it vary from store to store? Prolly. But u do get commission off Gaspari products as well and I was not told to to push any of their products. Sorry for the uproar caused over the ugly word "REQUIRED", carry-on Soldiers, Couple of my Bonanno croonies and I are about to go roll on a few GNC's in Midtown for some kickbacks, ***ETABOUTIT.

ya there isnt any way of getting a livewire to chill out, you need people like that around you when its time to go to war....if you catch my drift, a livewire wont buckle or hesitate, he'll be the one shooting before the conversation has even escalated.

searl i started the thread to see why everyone bashed them, not to get everyone to bash them more just a fyi.

I pretty much see them bashed in here anytime someone says MT anything and was truly curious as to why, some have giving good reasons and some have said it is expensive but still owrks just not as well as they claim. To that i say "great job marketing yourself Muscletech" that's what puts a business ahead of the others. SO more power to them.

ya man I see that, I was all for finding out why they were bashing...I was against the lame jokes, I want reasons/evidence.
 
Outrageous claims, 75 ingredients in a 25g proprietary blend, plus I don't know about you but halo tastes like vodka when i tried it. Not to mention the price for what you are actually getting. The complaint is they spend too much money on marketing and not enough on product r&d. However, like you said, from a business standpoint they are making out. Iovate distributes them but iovate also distributes Cytogenix, Muscle Asylum, and Muscletch. Look at the first proprietary blend in nano vapor, What is it called? INTRAVOL. Sometimes it's just ridiculous what they do.
