Muscle milk, RTDs, Protein Bars, OH MY!!

So I stopped into GNC yesterday after an appt. to pick up a bottle of Quercetin(the only thing I buy from there) I scored big on some things. Not sure if this is normal since I go in there once every 2 months, but I got 10, 4 pack of muscle milk RTDs for 1.99 a pack, got a ton of Met-rx bars for .50, bunch of detour bars for .50, bunch of promax bars although high in sugar for .40, and some pure protein bars for .75, and a handful of GNC 50 Gram Slams for .99. First time I ever walked out with a huge back filled with stuff from that store.
 
They do that at every store. Especially when things are getting ready to expire! Or if they need to rotate their stock.

I figured they do it everywhere, but it just never seems to happen when I'm there. Anyone know typically when the best time to score clearance is? The guy there said usually right after gold card week
 
Right after gold card week, or you could look on their stuff and get exp dates, then go there right before they expire!
 
You have exemplified the ONLY reason I go into a GNC store... more times than not, you'll find protein bars or shakes that are marked down. I've hauled a lot of stuff out of there on the cheap.
 
I used to work at GNC a few years ago they are products that are expiring within a few months. Normally between 1-3 months. GNC cant sell anything that is expired of course so anything is better then having wasted items. I used to love when things would expire though cause I would be the one to "dispose" of them. Of course when it is expired it may not break down as well as it used to depending on what it is. But yeah GNC has good buys on clearance items thats about it, lol. I always go in there though at the start of every month to check out their new clearance items. I got isopure RTDs normally like 4 bucks each for .50 each, I got a whole case. :D
 
i just had a look on their web site...their prices for ON whey are insanely low......$47 for 10lb if you have a gold card....you guys get everything cheap!
