I start tomorrow, just got done cooking my meals for the week. Damn that is alot of rice and broccolli lol. Anyway here are my current stats... I measured, they should be pretty close to accurate, but not perfect.

Arms: 16.5
Chest: 46
Quads: 26.5
Calves: 16
Weight: 224.5
Here are some starting pics. I have eaten horrible and not lifting this past week, waiting to start this. So I look and feel pretty crappy right now. Can't wait to it hit tomorrow though.

Good luck, I dont start my program until next sunday, but I am looking forward too all the new logs being started so we can all work together.
 
Started yesterday, weighed about 8:15pm. I know you arent supposed to weigh at night, but it will be around the same time everyday that I weigh... so I figure it won't be that bad. The workout went good, and my diet was 100% yesterday. I screwed up on the ratio though, on the 3:2 sets. I made it a 3 second positive and a 2 second negative. Also Bobo I don't think the cable crunches did anything for me, and I don't know if I even did them right. I'm definitley not sore today in my abs. My chest is a little tired/tight but nothing I can't handle. It feels really weird only eating a bagel and a scoop of protein after my workout, then only one more small meal of cottage cheese and broccolli before bed. I woke up this morning starving.

P.S. I'm glad I love bagels. Plain, with cream cheese, even when I melt my mozzerella on them. I love them always have and always will. I LOVE YOU BAGELS!! :D

I never really got much out of the cable crunches either. I guess I should of said something.Invalid Link Removed Anyway I just did extra abs.
 
I ran the backworkout today. First pump I have had in my back in at least 6 months. Need to get some straps though, I felt I could go heavier but my forearms gave out. Fought through the burning and still got a really nice pump. Weighed today -3 pounds. Lol I'm not complainig though cuz I think its just water/fat since I still look the same I think.
 
Sounds great. Your weight could fluctuate a bit but you could be one of those nasty individuals who need more calories than usual :D Thats easily correctable within the first week or 2 so its not a big deal at all.
 
Today was triceps, I have still been hitting the diet 100%. (minus the one small rice krispy treat I had yesterday). But my triceps today was just wow. The most pumped they have ever been, even when taking SD and other things. I am confused with the reverse pyramid scheme on the rope extensions on exactly how to do them. I will look it up tonight. weighed in today 223. Another pound down, but I'm not complaining at all because I am leaning way up. Maybe a couple more calories wont hurt me. Can't wait until legs and biceps over the next 2 days. My favorite workouts, probably because they are what is lacking the most.
 
Today was leg day, and let me tell you I lost it. Half way through my squats it all came back up!! :D I was able to get 4 sets of 265 though ATG. Most I have done in a long long time. Since high school. I haven't puked in a workout since freshman year college track. Brought back memories lol. Took about a 15 minute breather and was then able to finish everything else just fine... My legs were already sore from taking a 15 minute break before I even got to the lunges and leg press lol. Can't wait for tomorrow. So far, I love the workouts... Hard, long, and not some get big quick scheme that I see people dump money into with the trainers at my gym.

Also, my triceps already look bigger from the workout yesterday. They aren't super sore anymore, but they are rounding out the back of my arm which has never happened... Especially the day AFTER a workout. GJ!!
 
Yesterday was biceps, and they were hurting. I still haven't weighed. Trying to get it to where I only weigh twice a week... Sunday's and Wednesdays. I will get some measurements tonight though. Do those every Satruday, and pics every 2 weeks. Are you gonna make any changes to my diet for next week? I'm going grocery shopping today and need to know if I need to get anything special. I am still leaning up quite nicely, and I don't think I have lost any size. My shirts still fit the same but my tummy is looking quite nice :)
 
The diet change depends on what your weight in will be but as far as food items it won't change.

Quads: 26 (I can see the divisions though so I know it was fat)

Your tellling me, I don't mind them one bit . I will weigh today, and post my results and workout about 9ish.
 
Today was chest, and my lifts already went up nicely. I can feel the pump still but the overall fatigue like last Sundays isn't as extreme. That's about it. Oh, I weighed today and I had dropped 3 pounds. Sitting at 221.

P.S. Started really trying to hit the cable crunches hard and keeping my abs flexed the whole time. The past two times I have done this they have been sore and hurt the next day. :D

Mostly cleaner carbs. I have a feeling your metabolism is a bit "kickin"
 
haha very much so. If I miss a meal or two (been this way ever since junior high), I can kiss about 4 pounds out the window. :(
 
Today was back day, and I really liked the workout. Felt good and had a nice pump. I just cant seem to get my forearms to stop hurting so much. Tried straps today but holding onto that weight for so long really makes them burn. I could do more weight if there was a way to kinda cancel out the forearms. Any suggestions?
 
You should be able to hold the weight with minimal grip with straps. On many lifts the bar is literally hanging by the straps and I only have my hand partly over the bar just to keep it balances.

With back exercises I use straps on all exercises.
 
Well today was my rest day, got all the meals in and so far my diet is still 100% minus the one or two things I have missed from a meal here or there. I think forgetting to eat something makes me madder than not getting through a lift with this plan. My calves.... hurt. They feel like they are on fire still from yesterday and my back is mildly sore. Will weigh tomorrow to see how its going.
 
Weighed today during my triceps day. Weight was still sitting right at 222. I'm still leaning up really nicely though, even though my weight is staying the same. I am contemplating going on a 3 week SD cycle next week. For a couple of reasons. My main goal was to end this program sitting around 225-230 but with 7-10%bf instead of the 16-17% I think I was carrying. The way my diet is leaning me down but not losing any weight, I think the SD would be great to add in. Also, last SD cycle I ran 3 weeks was a perfect time. This would put me with my 3 week PCT the last 3 weeks of this program, in which if I start losing gains or something goes wrong... Bobo can tweak it for me. Still gotta ask boss man (Bobo), what he thinks about me running it. Pics and measurements Saturday :D
 
Run this diet until the end of the week then give me a weight Sunday. I usually throw out all weigh ins during the week. You fluctuate too much.

As for the SD, I don't like it right now. Save it for later. We still need to get your diet right (i tihnk we are almost there)

You definetly rip through the cals.
 
Yesterday I had to switch up my workouts. I did biceps last night and will do legs today, because my calves were still so sore from mondays workout that I couldn't even put my heels on the ground. Diet is still 100%, except last night I fell asleep while studying, woke up at like 5 realized I hadn't eaten my pre-bed meal and had to have a quick muscle milk shake and cup of brocolli. I made it to where it equals the same nutritional value but still isn't the same. Anyway, it's the time of year where I always suffer from depression. I don't know why or what from, but it always happens. My grades always slip and all I wanna do is just lay in bed and not eat. I'm trying to fight my way through it and force downt he meals, but its just hard. I hope it passes soon, but I'm not sacrificing this program for a week or 2 of depression. So still forcing the food down and training hard in the gym. Any suggestions to help me get over this soon as possible would be greatfully appreciated too.
 
I don't know anything to say other than just try to keep yourself busy and around interesting people. Depression has been one the biggest thorns in my side at this point in my life.


Maybe you could try some herbal remedy such as St. Johns Wart.
 
st johns wort is a waste of time. Go see your doctor. There is no shame in admitting u suffer from depression. Its very common in todays world. I am a nurse in a phys. ward. I deal with it everyday. People think they can beat it on their own, but usually u cant. Go see a doctor. Theres no shame in it.
 
I have seen a psychologist a couple years ago, i tried like 3 different meds for adhd/depression. All of them made me feel worse, so I jumped to hitting the gym even harder to get those chemicals in my brain going. :D Solved the ADHD problem greatly.

I hear ya. I think I was born with low "feelgood hormone" levels or something - I've battled fairly regular depression for almost a decade now. Some days I don't even want to train or eat or speak to anybody but I do it anyway - I always try to keep in mind that I won't let these brain chemicals hold me back - cus that's all they are -chemicals. Good thing I was born as stubborn as a mule.

Well Friday and Saturday were absolute crap this weekend. Friday I was sick all day, caught some stomach bug from my girlfriend I think. Only managed to get 4 meals down, and the rest of the time... well I won't go into details. Saturday I still felt the effects of the stomach bug and got 3 meals in plus a shake before bed. Never got to train legs this week and I over the past 2 days I could see myself visibly shrinking. :( Today I feel great though and already have 2 meals down the hatch. I am gonna move my workouts to earlier in the day, so I have a question. What meal besides my pre-bed meal should I move to after my workout? Meal 3? My rice n chicken meal?

Anyway can't wait to start it up this week, and get back on track. :D
 
Rice and chicken are fine.


If you were sick, expect a pretty large weight drop ESPECIALLY if it was a stomach bug. I remember having that and I lost 9 lbs. in 4 days.
 
Yah I'm not even gonna weigh today, just gonna wait until next Sunday after a week wtih the extra flax too. Man being sick sucks. lol
 
Back in the gym today and it felt great. Did my week 1 workout and everything shot up more than expected. Every meal has gone down today without a problem, and I even have an appetite. :D Weighed today and had lost 2 pounds since before my bug but, I was happy with that. Guess me forcing down a muscle milk shake before bed eventhough I felt horrible helped. Thats about it, can't wait to get back into the full swing of things.
 
Also, I was wondering if occasionally OCCASIONALLY, I can switch my brown rice with oatmeal if I eat enouhg of it to equal the same nutritonal value. I love oatmeal and miss it so much :(. If not I can tough it out, but thought I might ask.
 
Today was my off day, and I was able to get all the meals down so far. Think that bug is long gone :D. Anyway snapped some pics since I didn't want to Saturday. Here we go

Been a busy week before Spring Break lol. Been going good, got all the meals and still on track in the gym (just a day behind cuz of sickness Sunday). Anyway, I'm still weighing the same and its really starting to get to me, I can see the changes and leaness coming, but stepping on the scale once a week and not seeing it move kinda sad. I'm still hanging with it though, had a cheat meal today though cuz I was out for lunch. Chicken, mozzerrella, with whole wheat tortillas. Not really a cheat meal, but felt like it :). Oh well gym tonight, still enjoy the workout :D.

I have a feeling with you that your measurements could be increasing while losing fat. If not, more calories it is.

Measurements are still the same, got the new diet gonna start tonight.
 
Today was my off day, I will weigh and hit chest tomorrow. Anyway I'm feeling better on this new diet, and look like im puttin on some weight. I will be going home for spring break so I can't post everyday but the diet and gym will still be perfect. I cheated today, I coulnd't resist and had a couple slices of pizza. But tomorrow it's back to 100%. :)
 
NO PIZZA or the next diet will be full of ricecakes!

Been hitting the gym as usual, except I dont get my first of the week rest day due to travel for spring break. Weight is still the same, and I have a couple theories why. I think my 6 meals isn't enough. Back when I was bulking previously, I was having to do 7-8 meals a day. I was wondering if we could somehow come up with a way to add in one more meal taking things from the other meals or something. Another theory I have, is if that workout is overtraining me and my body can't recoup and gain weight. I wonder if anyone has been over trained with your workout. I dunno if my body responds well to this or not. The reason I think its one of these problems and not just my metabolism is because I was looking over my diet from a previous bulk and its not even as many calories as I am taking now. Just some thoughts and something to ponder.


P.S. Just trying to make you get your moneys worth.... Blame it on my genetics :D
