My arms were pumped beyond belief at the end of these burnouts. I could barely wipe the sweat off of my face cuz my arms could hadrly bend. I threw in 3 sets of seated DB holds with 75s just to fatigue my forearms a little more, and I wish had taken a picture becuase vascularity in my forearms was CRAZY. Felling pretty strong, the PR on weight AND reps for the pulldowns was good, but I'd like to get the full stack of 280 for a couple of reps before this cycle is over.

It has been! Although I will have to admit I've been extra angry and agitated lately. The alpha male in me is coming out HARDCORE. I stared down a guy in the mall, I mean STARED HIM DOWN while he was looking at my girlfriend's a$$. He saw me staring at him and kind of smirked a little. That pissed me off so bad so I started walking towards him, which made him start walking away a little faster. My girlfriend asked me where I was going, so I told her. She said that was very sweet that I would protect her like that but if I got into a fight it would probably have a negative impact with my kids and custody. Good thing she's always thinking because I wasn't. All I was thinking about was kicking that punk's a$$.

On a side note, I weighed in this morning, but the scale said 196. 2 weeks ago I was 198, but on a different scale. I need to find one of those doctor's office style scales and weigh in on that. There's no way I've seen the recomp I have and lost that much weight while getting stronger, and apparently getting bigger because a couple shirts I wear regularly are much tighter in spots.
 
Volleyball tonight, and I've had a couple more days of recovery than I had last time so I'm very curious to see how high I jump tonight and how hard I hit the ball. Should be a good night since I was almost back to college form last time. :banana:

Did the Rugged Maniac today. 5K run full of obstacles and trenches, barbed wire, crazy stuff. It totally kicked my ass but was so much fun.

Kind of. Those obstacles are hard though. There was some "American Ninja Warrior" sh!t on some of those.
 
Did an impromtu chest and delt workout yesterday. Word is getting out to friends that I used to be a personal trainer so I'm getting a lot of requests to train people. I made some time yesterday to help a former cousin-in-law get started, which coincided with my first day back on my hypertrophy phase and a chest/delt day. He was pretty happy about that until the end of the workout. I tried not to train him so hard that he was going to be sore for days, but he kept pushing for a little more. I finally got to the point where I had to tell him he was stopping and calling it a day. I got in a pretty good workout as well, but nothing like I am used to or wanted to. I was quite happy getting him started on the right foot though, so it was a pleasant trade off.

I love to see that, when they're utter virgins. Reminds me of how far I've gone just to get where I'm at, and not be so impatient. Helps you remember it really is a marathon, and a game of inches and lbs, one brick at a time.

After volleyball last week I had some swelling in my left knee that wouldn't go down for a couple of days. It finally started to go down, and Thinking it was some inflammation of the meniscus. I couldn't even do leg extensions with light weight during an attempted leg workout. It seems OK today, after some heavy ibuprofen dosing, but last night I strained my calf pretty good. I have a hard time even just going up and downstairs now. The one thing I noticed a few minutes before the strain occured I started to get a little cramping in that calf. I've also started getting some mild back pumps during some workouts. I'm getting taurine today, but any thoughts on this helping my calves? I only have about 5 days left of THE1, but I plan on pushing very hard for the last few days.

Potassium gluconate, taurine and water. Taurine dose 2-5g at a time, for a few drinks/day (especially preWO or before bed). Potassium is up in the air, but 2-3 caps/day can only help. Google potassium o/d symptoms so you know what to look for (low bp, light-headed, etc) but I believe the threshold is very high. Potato skins and bananas and dried fruit are all great sources if you want it from food. Tons of h2o obv.

My weight went from 202 to 201 (weighed myself on a medical scale at the gym this morning), but I got a lot leaner, leaner than I was expecting. I still haven't found my calipers while moving (for a third friggin' time) and anytime I'm somewhere that I could purchase a new set it always slips my mind. If I had to guess I would say I wen from roughly 14% to 11%, but that's based solely on visual estimation. Strength definitely went up, but I wasn't able to truly gauge as well as I would have liked since all of my previous PRs are with free weights and PF only has dumbbells up to 75#, and Smith Machines. I was able to hit 315 lbs. for reps on squats on the Smith machine though, which I was never able to do even when I was at my strongest with my home gym set up. My biggest rave about THE1 is the recomp effect I got. I also have never had such an alpha male reaction to ANYTHING like this before. I was on the verge of kicking peoples asses on a daily basis. My girlfriend was my saving grace on multiple occasions, keeping me level headed and getting me back in check (even though it was guys eyeing her up and down that caused most of the issue). I didn't notice a ton of size on this cycle, but then again I was pushing more for a recomp. This would be a GREAT option for spring getting ready for bathing suit weather. The worst side negative side I got was a small bout of facial acne which was kind of frustrating, but that was it. Nothing else negative to say. And being able to run a 6 week cycle from 1 bottle if I wanted to is huge. I was able to run a 5 week cycle starting off at 75 mg./day and bumping to 100 mg./day. PCT starts tomorrow, which should be a breeze, but I will ABSOLUTELY be running THE1 again.

Oh I agree with that! Takes awhile to get that taste out even after drinking a bottle of water!
