Most EFFECTIVE protein

Following brands I have used and enjoyed:

ON Gold (havn't used in over a year), NutraPro, LG Lipotropic

My favorite powdered protein, but it is a bit on the more expensive side:

Trutein. It is a great blend of protein sources, and tastes damn good.

On the way I have 7lbs of Nutrex Muscle Infusion protein (did the buy 2lb, receive 5lb free sale).

As for most efficient then you should look into peptopro products, which is quite efficient and can be incorporated well into any diet. It won't replace your whey, but it provides a great immediate protein source. Primordial has a peptopro product called Maximum Absorbed Protein.

Glad you like the taste of Trutein I ordered some and can't wait to try it out. I still need to try MAP, looks really good.

Nutrex's Muscle Infusion Black protein is absolutely delicious. The "Chocolate Monster" flavor is possibly the best tasting protein powder I've had thus far.

Its delicious and arguably one of the better profiles around.
MAP is good too, and that is coming from someone who hates fruit flavored protein. But it does a decent job at covering up the taste of peptopro, which is not desirable in the least

Good to know! I have 2lbs of Chocolate on the way, 5 lbs of Cookie. :D

Nector protein, least amount of ingredients so way more natural and better for you, stay away from proprietary blends

although i avoid splenda when i can, Trutein and Iso-ology have become my new favorite.
I was impressed with the reviews so i purchased some samples and loved the PB chocolate and Chocolate flavors.

I'm getting MAP for Christmas

The cheapest Whey-protein has always worked out great for me... Along with some EAA sipping throughout the day...

If it's all you know it's ok I guess. I threw mine out after I tasted some high quality Isolate...I kicked that to the curb once I tasted Trutein. Once I started farting, I went back to Isolate. Not Truteins fault: genetics.

Trutein is quite a bit more $$ :booty:

Trutein has updated the cpb and vanilla from the original. They are even more amazing. I make a pumpkin pie shake out of the vanilla that is unbelievable.

As my high school powerlifting couch used to say "raw eggs and meat" lol just thought I would throw that in here. I know were talking about powders and outstanding pointed out cooked eggs are better.

Honestly, also search for a place around your vicinity that sells generics. I shop at a joint that sells a dozen eggs for .39 cents. Initially when they went on sale, I thought damn wheres the catch? No catch..also no limit at first but now its at 2. Thats as effective as it gets, especially when you're eating 12 in a sitting. Post workout it wont hinder you either. I dont buy into "I need my shake" after my workout. To look and feel your best, whole foods are where its at. I do 12 egg whites, 2 tb natty pb and some grapefruit or blueberries for carbs...trust me, it tastes good, you feel good and you get big! :D

I eat and drink so much protein i dont really care too much about 'highest quality' and all that..I cant afford it! Lipotropic by LG is cost effective, $29.99 at 5 lbs with a diverse profile; also use American Whey but its only 20g per serving but its at 23.99 per 5 lb.

Hope this gives you a different perspective to think about.

yeah, trunutrition also makes like 6lbs of whey for 35 bucks. I just bought Isolate somewhere @31 bucks for 5lbs...I just shop around. We have a place called a l d i where you can get basic staples super cheap as well as some premium items cheap. They do not sell protein so hopefullt theres no infraction here. :) Milk runs less than 2 bucks a gallon too.

Thats exactly the place im talking bout! I was hoping theyd sell natty pb there but they dont. Oats are the same price for the most part as well as tuna..my eggs, and frozen talapia i get from there..the frozen blueberries are also the same :(

I really cant complain though, eggs for .39 cents ..cmon now!

Most effective protein is that which comes from food. I would say a steak is the most effective but that is my opinion.

If you mean powders trutein is great. I love muscle milk because it's higher in cals. Also always with milk and something like fruit or nuts to go along with it.

After I lift I do 45 mins of cardio, then 15 mins tanning by the time I change and drive home it's been over a hour and half since I stopped lifting. So yea I think I need a protein shake and some carbs after my weight session... :D to each their own brother

Absolutely. Not saying to not to. Just saying if you can substitute as an alternative or to shake things up, go whole food. If whole isnt readily available (no more tuna, not thawed, etc), Ill be choking that shake down..I just hear nonstop that a shake after a workout is the holy grail..

Aye mate. PLAIN all the time. Choke it down with water and I usually eat 15 almonds or 2TB of natty PB with it.

That's funny. I love that place though. When I became a single, broke dad years ago that place put lots of food on our table. Fresh produce is limited but cheap as heck too.

truetein mixes up way too thick for me, Ive tried just about everything out there and after using Xtreme Formulations almost exclusively for the past yr and a half, every time I try something new Im always pissed that I did.

Tuna + Chopped Giardinarra = Tuna Bliss.

Big props for tuna! I just have to rep you after I post this for simply mentioning it. Tuna has been a salvation on many occasion for me, due to its protein density and convenience of portability. I now eat 6 cans a day, accompanies by 2 protein shakes and 2 12 egg omelets. My daily diet is invariably the exact same.

Chopping up green, yellow, orange, or red peppers makes a world of difference as well. At one point in my training three years ago, I went three... pure... months... without fail, eating 6 cans of tuna a day with 2 omelets (cot. cheese in the evening with FF Kraft cheese slices) and 2 shakes like I said above, and the results yielded were phenomenal. Egg whites with their high Leucine content are irreplaceable.
