Montego an Snagency tag-team with FINAFLEX in the corner

Now that sounds like a meal!

This^^^

I guess everyone is different. I just remember how ****ty I felt after eating all that **** is all. I guess if you were to keep it to a couple meals post show and maybe one the next day it would be that bad.

That's the goal. One meal after the show. Then one meal the next day. Then it's decision time for the August show or grow into next year.

Yeah I think you said you went a bit nuts though. A day or two of reasonable free eating is good to go. WHen I did mine I think I had one day I ate whatever I wanted in whatever amount I wanted then I scaled back, still eating freely but not being gluttonous. I put on 12 lbs over night then gradually over the next 2 weeks I added another 12-13 lbs. However I felt great while doing so. Man that was the best 195 lbs I have ever been. The awesome response coming off a show... 195 and 5.5% was beastly on me.

monte, i can see how much commitment, dedication and sacrifice went into this.

i wish you the best...good luck!!!

Well the kicker is rehydrating....it's kills your ability to actually pig out (for me at least)

I had a pretty good night on eating and went ham on breakfast the next day then the remainder of Sunday was controlled with some freedom. I think I had a regular burger and fries on the way home and some cereal and pop tarts with protein when I did get home. Monday was back to the grind.
Bean5r is right. The feeling I get from having anything more than a cheat meal isn't worth it anymore. This off season it's been an appitizer, main course and dessert for me & that's it's. Occasionally cereal or pancakes post workout but I can't handle sh!tting my brains out the next day mostly lol

in a perfect prep, there really would be no need to get dehydrated to begin with..
different strokes for different folks, and there are many paths that lead to rome, but my .02 - if you prep right, the last thing you want to do is severely restrict water intake

monte can attest to this - I have several ways I can bring someone into a show, and I been preaching at him that of the options I presented, I like the one where you don't mess with water the best...he simply wants to do something different than that, and so we are

bottom line: it all comes down to self-control, just as following a successful prep did, with strong discipline thruout
sure it might be fun to have a meal after the show (hopefully a victory meal eh? but in reality if you stepped on stage to begin with, you are a champion period, one of the few ppl in this world who will have the guts & determination to do what you just accomplished..) - but, let's keep it real, have the meal, maybe have a relaxed structure on day after, and let's get back to shooting for the goals on MON...

problem simply lies in lack of discipline, and getting caught up in the "rebound" effect post-show and thinking you are indestructible and can do no wrong......until that one morning you awake, look in mirror, and say WTF just happened to me?? :yikes:

you look at the pros, the real steadfast guys - hell they maybe have some latitude with breakfast on SUN morning following SAT show, and that's that - back to business

I'm not knocking or critiquing anybody here...hell been there/done that nonsense myself, blew up like damn balloon following show, esp my first show ever..
but - reality is, it's all in what you want to accomplish, and how real you are about being determined to get there

speaking of foods..nom nom nom

ground turkey, solid white albacore, jasmine rice and black beans..
only thing I am missing is some veggies....gotta get to the store

tennis on tap soon..and comes at right time, because -

speaking of spillover, I am on my way there if I don't nip it in bud
time for readjustment of the cal load....carbs still anywhere from 350g to 550g daily tho, fat will still be kept low for now
just need to tighten up a smidge for a brief spell, lower the cals overall

Snags, where does put you at right now 210? What is your expected show weight? Just curious because you look around 220...
Beastly to say the least.
Your lunch looks a lot better than what I had. Tuna, some lunch meat and a yogurt...

I dint weight myself this morning...just going by looks
weighed myself just now, ~215.5 current (so roughly I would guess 211ish upon rising, which is all I really care about in that respect)
don't know what show weight I would be at, until I would be getting farther in on that process..upper LHW if I had to guess? you know I value ultra low bf & conditioning over any kind of pure size, is always my protocol to slant things that way

hey man that lil lunch of of yours is nothing to sneeze at brother..cheers

Couldn't agree more. Granted I've only done one show but I still live this lifestyle and the further along I get, the more I learn, the less it takes to satisfy me.

So so true. It's a snowball effect In a way. At least for me it was. Binged afyer tge show then all day next day and by then I was plus 25 lbs and looked like complete ass hole.

My mentality then went to the "Wtf just happened? " and "well I guess I can just keep eating this ****" complete lack of discipline and tbh I think it has a lot to do with how restricted ones prep is. If you enter a prep in good shape and start early enough you should be getting re feeds leading g into the final weeks so the feeling of being deprived isn't really there. This of course may not be true for everyone but it's still a good point I think.

Also the longer we continue at this and realize what good nutrition does as far as results the desire for "crap food " isn't as great. Like @DistilledWater said, sure I enjoy pancakes or a bowl or two of cereal post leg day and a good burger and salad or juicy steak and fries occasionally but these are actually planned and serve purposes.

Bottom line monte you look awesome and your attitude is great bud.

Just got done with about an hour long Epsom salt/eucalyptus soak. Freaking AMAZING. Legs were feeling rough so I got in that good R&R :)

Lmao....
Post show I had a baked potato salmon n green veggies and a bottle of water with vitamin c...
The next morning I went crazy on the continental breaky, ( got really sick) and the binge didn't end for DAYZ!!!
Put on 20 lbs in a week or so.. ( not good)..
I snapped out of it pretty quick though....
The best part about post show for me was the ability to push a lot of weight. I got super strong n grew like a beast....( I think?, lol...)....
:)

Monty, u r looking fantastic! I'm really like the confidence too! U r gonna rock!!
U got this!!

sorry to interrupt the monte show, but gotta report in on the tennis today, since I'm in process of healing from the knee issue..

straight sets win, 6-4 7-5 ... the second set seemed to last forever, my serve deserted me after I was up 4-1, got broken couple times but held on when it mattered I guess (even tho it was a 3-deuce service game on last one of set with couple double faults in there) :o

knee swelling is gone, pain still lingers, explosiveness still not there, but hey I can move around pretty decently...
if I had to guess what the issue is, I might just guess some arthritis creeping in

old age....gotta love it

Ouch snag! Glad it's getting better but it sounds quite painful!

yep, things are better with the knee, I don't mean to make them sound worse...it is what it is, wear and tear is nothing new to me

here's a shot of the wheels post-tennis..
you can see there is no swelling of the knee, all is well
thought the black & white look was cool, cuz color/lighting was off a bit on the original due to sun coming in from the side

I don't think I've got the thigh-gap going on..

Exciting!!! You're gonna rock that stage!! :)

Some body dried out real nice, only .05 lbs to piss out before weigh ins, you got this! I am still gonna try to be up there about 7:00 for you just in case i can do anything to help.

Snags, if you can install Skype on your phone or laptop maybe I can video him for you so you can see what he needs as in more carbs, less water, additional sodium yada, yada, yada... Will be easier to see what is going on with video as opposed to pictures.

Pee pee pee.....196.5 lbs. Weight made unless I sleep eat/drink

Nice and only 1.5 hours to go you got this brother!

Good luck brother

Just peeded beside Branch Warren.....somebody pinch me lol.

Weight made. 196 on the money. Time to eat!

On that note though...I'm fuked lol. There are some MONSTERS in this show. Huge turnout. Shocked me really.

Congrats! Branch is pretty cool. 'Bout the only Pro I'd have offered to hold it for if he needed.

i liked young branch better than now branch. his biceps look all ****ed up and fake. still jealous of their size but looks like a bad synthol job or he just used too much and theyve stretched out weird. i like his training partner though. JJ's a bad bitch!

That's mainly why I like him; I like their intensity. Can't relate to it at all, not the way his sessions are. But I can relate to being very intense for short periods listening to metal at the gym lol

Don't be nervous of these so called "monsters". I felt the absolute same my first show as I was the lightest competitor in my category and didn't think I would even place. Ended up smoking them all on my conditioning and symmetry and took home the gold. Just because they are "big" doesn't mean they'll win. If they come in softer than you, it will only be immensely amplified on stage and they will actually look somewhat fat. It's surprising what the bright lights will expose on stage.

Well I sprinkled posing oil on the floor behind me....maybe there will be a domino effect and I'll be the only one alive :)

You got this! No worries. On stage remember YOU own it!

exactly this
Montana - you are at the VERY TOP of your weight class...hell after continued carb up you will likely come in closer to 199-200#
you will be the BIGGEST and BEST CONDITIONED guy in that class
own those poses, exude smooth calm & quiet confidence...
hit those poses to a T, nice & slow, confident! (NO bouncing)
you will be fine....now BRING IT HOME DAMMIT!

Looking peeled Montana! Wouldn't stress man like snags said your at the upper end if a class and your conditioning is spot on! I'm sure that those monsters you speak of wouldn't be in your class. Either way man I'm looking forward to seeing you being it on stage!

On my way for the last coat of tan. All water is done for the day. Hopefully I can sleep tonight damn it lol.
