Last night I had a Skype session with our very own juniorab .
This guy is cool as Hell (as if we didn't already know that) and gave me even more pointers how to improve upon my poses. Got some great feedback and he said I look miles better now then just the last few days on my positions.
We worked on my front relaxed and improved it some but it still isn't quite where it needs to be. HONESTLY I think it might be really close though....I had my wife video me while I looked in a mirror and I could definitely see my lats popping but in the video they were not there...tonight I'm meeting up with MrKleen73 and he is gonna take a look. It might have something to do with shadowing and camera angles (I hope). Junior also said he would come in on a Skype session while I'm with Chris and they could both talk about what they are seeing since my wife isn't the best judge of things
These guys are going out of their way to help me and I can't express how much I appreciate it. Body comp is still coming along and I'm noticing small miniscule changes daily. At this point those small changes are huge though so I'm the zone so to speak.
I've come to realize though That what I thought were going to be my strong points, front delts/ biceps, aren't as prominent anymore. My biceps seem thinner then I remember so while I was putting together some parts of my routine, I noticed that poses where my arms were over my head aren't a good look. Not only are my arms long and having them extended takes away from the bicep muscle belly, it also narrows my lats. Since my hips are wide this makes for no flow and symmetry and I look rectangular instead of "x'ish".
My legs and back are definitely going to take center stage since they have both surprised me greatly. With the increased development, and that old saying "backs win shows" hopefully this will play into my favour.

Your poses and it's fluidity is much better on the "tweaks" video on your YouTube channel (which I subscribed to). If you take the same attitude you did on those and carry it out longer, your routine will work out fine.
This is part of what we discussed last night. He is going to use the shorter set up in the pre-judging to get into positions quickly to be seen by the judges in prime position the most amount of time, and use the longer more fluid set ups for during his actual Posing routine when all eyes are on him to notice the fine details & intricacies during movement.
On top of that you are looking at the last round we went through we were about 2 hours into posing by the time we took this one and he is exhausted.
Steve we had him popping the lats pretty good on rear and front lat spread but like you said sometimes his mind goes to lifting at the shoulders instead of flaring the lats and letting the arms just sit on them during the relaxed. He is focusing now on getting the lats to pop easily and once he has the muscle control there the arms should be much easier to get into the right position. So he is running around all day popping his lats out over and over again to get used to letting them just drop out. I think 1-2 more practice session with eyes on him and he will have it down pretty good.

cals have been 5k+ all week, which has been reflected in the scale as I gained more than couple lbs during this time

Definitely agree with you as far as your goals etc.
If your plans are to go pro, that's the most likely route to get there, unfortunately

nice weight session today, I decided last week to give Norton's PHAT routine a go, looked interesting and intrigued me for what I am trying to accomplish currently....kept quiet about it till I decided if I liked it or not and would continue, and such is what it is, so....there ya go

everything coming together physique-wise, seeing some improvement, size continues to accrue (slowly) as I keep fairly lean for summer..strength is really great these days, recovery top-notch
tennis on deck for this afternoon, day #2 of three-days-in-a-row matches
rafa and serena both out....if they would have both won the womans champion would have had a 10mph faster average serve than the mens champion...not to mention the womans champ weighing between 20-30 pounds more than the mens champ. just can't see how a woman in her 30's could keep that kind of muscle mass while putting in the training/court time necessary to be at that level..... unless......lol, i bet she has more lbm than you snags:toofunny:
ironically I too have long thought of this myself, when thinking about serena (not so with venus tho, but V does have some amazonion nipples on her, dayum..)The word amazon comes to mind when I hear her or her sisters name.
