Yesterday was the PERFECT rest day.

Got home a bit early and took a three hour nap from five to eight. Then fell back asleep from ten to six. Yeah buddy feeling recharged today!

Leg is feeling good too. Come Monday I get the Dr verdict so hopefully it's back to full throttle.

cheapness? well yes I guess it wasn't expensive..
was a sh1t-ton of carbs, with a couple spoonfuls of cashew butter
(trying to keep fats down, so it was nice splurge)

Hmm. My eyesight is going and I'm not catching the auto-correct.
 
Just wasn't feeling it in the gym today. Was in the sun all day and even though I got a ton of sleep yesterday I was pretty blah. Slugged through a back session. Getting rather bored of the same exercises. Will be glad when the leg is good to go.

Hate it when I'm just not getting it in the gym. Had one of those days today myself. I knew when 275 felt heavy on the squats that it wasn't going to be a good day. Repped out a few different exercises then said fûck it. Was in and out in 30 mins. Hard not to feel like a failure on days like today but the good news is that it's just ONE day. I've got a bunch more that I can use to tear shît up!

Just got the the venue for the show I'm going to see. Should have bought tickets online lol. Five hundred people in line.
 
Well.....that was an experience lol.

Lhw was stacked.

Hw was about nine guys but the condition was not nearly as good as the lighter weight classes.

The amount of time they gave the competitors to hit their poses was not very long. Also they did free posing before quarter turns and mandatory poses. Thought it was quarter, mandatory then free most of the time.

The conditioned guys and small waists seemed to get favored over the more blocky guys too.

Very good experience.
 
Also. That's a lot of time to diet and train for two minutes on stage lol. Crazy.

Conditioning wins, every time.

That's also why I like to do a few shows in a row, seems pointless to diet for so long for one competition.

Hit some bicep work after I left the show. I haven't trained them much in the past two weeks so I have them a decent beating.

I've been hitting heavy weights with lower reps the last two weeks. Apparently I've been using my core quite a bit because the last two days I've got a couple nasty ab cramps. Weeeee

Having a large shoulder:small waist ratio makes a huge visual impact on stage. I mean, look at the difference between Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman. Lee had a lot smaller waist than Ronnie, but Ronnie, to me, had much better conditioning. But I much prefer Lee's physique over Ronnie's.
 
Just wanna say it's been 5 plus weeks wo Stimul8 and today a 1/2 scoop was fire. Legs equal mauled.

I actually prefer Ronnie's, but I've always appreciated sheer size more than traditional greek aesthetic ratios. I think the majority of ppl would agree with you tho, favoring Haney's. I just have a fascination with monstrosities lol. Just looks better with everything tighter & on display.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Ronnie as well. Pics just don't do him justice. When you actually get to see him in person and stand beside him, you truly feel like a little piss ant on a log. Lol. I just feel he went a bit too blocky with his physique. Not to the point of Markus Ruhl or even worst, Greg Kovacs. You want to see monstrosities of size and mass, if you ever had the privilege of meeting Greg before he passed away, you could most likely die knowing you had met the most muscle bound freak to have ever lived. When he shook my hand, it kinda looked like when a parent lets their newborn grab their finger and shake it.

In bodybuilding, I feel you need to be a monster, but have clean flowing lines as well in order to be the best. I don't know if it's because he's the same height as me, but to me, the epitome of bodybuilding was Lee Priest. An absolute monster for his height, but still had the Adonis symmetry and fluid flowing lines.

on one of my demos over the w/e, picked up some various protein powders at Vitamin Shoppe..
one of them was Gold Feast (controlled labs), had never had it before, thought I'd try something different
and different, it sure was....wanted a bit more flexibility in my carb choices for shakes
I kinda like the stuff tho, very unique taste
also picked up some of the new Nutrex protein, stuff is pretty decent and tasty
very happy with the new Muscle Milk pro series too, with lowered fat

legs coming up here in a bit...ready to smash them things today! :drive:
