Melting a Titan, Sponsored Thermogenesis log

Im sorry man, it was an open door and I felt the need to jab. You treat yourself every now and then brother!!

smith_69 and Brandinooooo people are wanting to do the typical derailment of a thread to this one. Im fine with it as long as you are. And just so you know, they are indeed members of the Spooner St Gang.

Ok. What the hell is this? Were you beaten a lot as a puppy or something?

First off, you don't take a jab at me and then say, "Sorry" - fck that sh1t man. We are brothers, tell it like it is and don't apologize for stupid stuff. haha.

Second off, asking permission for derailing a thread? That kind of defeats the entire purpose.

Come on. Your name is FireTitan and you kick in doors and save lives. Do you ask permission before you smash the door in? Do you apologize to the owners after you do it? What the heck?

First of all, Youre right, no apologies should have been issue for a half @ss attempt at motivating an otherwise spot on monstrosity.

Second, I love the derailment of a log, but, as I told a few others, Vitalize Supplements is new, and I didnt want their first impression of "us" to be a bunch of morons who care nothing about the prodcuts. But, the more I think about it, maybe VitalizeSupps can appreciate a bunch of meatheads having a good time on a forum WHILE learning about a new product.

And lastly, H3LL NO!! I dont ask permission to kick in doors and don't apologize for destroying their roof either, thats what insurance is for!!
Good point brother!!

P.S. justhere4comm- I have yet to meet a wall I cant breach buddy!!! Exceptionally trained on making small holes through them, as well as removing them all together!! USAR qualified baby!!!!

I hear you loud and clear FT - especially on the Vitalize stuff....I totally get it, I'm just playing around (guess I've kind of derailed in a different way?) haha.

And - why would you EVER make a small hole? Big holes are as easy to fix, if not easier, than small holes. haha.

From what I'm gathering hear is Vitalize supps make you want to kick down doors , take out walls. And not apologize for it.

I used to have the FBI Cybercrime Division logo on my wallpaper whenever I went to Starbucks. Nobody ever messed with my computer. :D

Well, I am feeling pretty good. Didnt take my 2 this morning as planned, simply because when I got off work, I went home and crashed. We ran a total of 13 calls in my 12 hour shift and I was beat. The wife let me sleep until 11am , then I took both. I really dont feel much different than at 1, but I still feel great. It really does give me a euphoric feeling . Now, with that being said, I do believe I will stick to 1 teice daily, only because I still plan on using a PWO before hitting the gym. Not sure how 2 caps and the PWO would be within a few hours of each other. I seem to have a bit more vascularity in my arms throughout the day, not sure whats causing that but it increases my bad@ssery so ill take it. So far..so good. And no more instant poo!!

Load bearing walls get a hole just big enough for me to fit through. And the hole is typically cut into a triangle shape, so yes, despite what we learned in school, you can indeed fit something round into a triangle!!

How could you possibly increase your bad@ssery ?

Dam not just a stud but smart as well!

FireTitan what's your diet look like? Kcal intake and macros?

Typically 11-1300 calories, 170-200g protein and <60 carbs. Bad thing is that its taking a toll out on my strength. Losing a bit. Probably need to make some changes, but now that Im starting to see some results, its so hard to change. Suggestions?

If you can get 1/2 your carbs about 2-3 hours before your workout.

Do you have BCAAs at your disposal? You can train fasted and use your carbs post-workout to refill. So all of your carbs will be used to refill and training fasted with BCAAs will allow you to retain your muscle and help with loss of strength. You will use your fat to power through your workout instead of calories

Excellent point. I use to do this. About 5 or so years ago this quit working for me for some reason. I can't even get through a workout on a low carb diet any longer. Don't really know why? Just is what it is I guess.

Are you in ketosis? Or trying to do a keto diet? If not you should give it a shot... once you get adapted your strength comes back and you'll shred up. Keto is also anti-catabolic (so they say. You'd even be able to up your kcals which you probably should.

When I've gone down to 1,000-1,500 it seems my weight loss stalls out.

I have never tried a keto diet. Really don't know that much about it. I guess I could look into it and read into it the rest of the night. It does seem as if my weight loss itself has stalled even though the mirror is showing differences.

You'd only have to drop your carbs to 50g... your already there so it wouldn't be a big change...

Ketosis is a metabolic shift that takes place in the absence of insulin: the liver starts breaking fat down into ketone bodies rather than using glycogen as energy. Once in keto, the body utilizes protein more efficiently which is why it's suppose to be anti-catabolic. I've lost LBM doing keto though, mainly cause I was in an aggressive kcal deficit.

Anyway, you get to have a weekly carb up to replace glycogen stores.. it really can't be matched insofar as a fat loss diet is concerned IMO

Nice. How long does it take to get into the actual state of ketosis, and how quick are the fat loss results? Typically of course, I know everyone is different

damn, just went thru 4 pages to see how 2 caps went......:wtf:

I bet it would only take you a day to get into keto, since your consuming around 60g of carbs... I actually wouldn't doubt it if your constantly going in an out of keto without getting adapted, which is why your strength is suffering.

I do keto for 6 wks at a time and then try and maintain weight for a few months. I've lost as much as 15 lbs in a month doing keto but the closer I get to my recommended BMI weight it slows down. I'm gonna run gear when I cut now.

FireTitan
Everyone I know that has done keto responded well. I've Got to have my carbs. Hope you love meat. It's kind of like the Adkins diet.

FireTitan - if your strength is sliding, I have a few questions for you. How often do you hit 200 grams of protein per day? Are you usually closer to 200, or usually closer to the lower end of your range?

What are you following for training?

Taking your carbs closer to you workout is a good suggestion, and I think BCAA's intra workout is a great suggestion. I actually use Endure intra workout and hardly ever use pre-workouts unless I get free samples.

Given your workload, low calories and being at just around 60 grams of carbs/day you may or may not be in ketosis already. If you are burning through energy and you are lacking carbs, your body will start burning ketones as a back up - some people can slip into ketosis in a day or two, others (like me) would have to work hard at it for a week or more. Even when I've gone as low as 600 cals/day and taken in less than 20 grams of carbs, ketone test strips often show me as barely being in ketosis at all after 3-4 days. This is partially because the test strips aren't 100% accurate and probably partially due to the fact that in such a deficit I'm actually burning through all the ketones that I can produce so very little gets excreted for testing....but I've never been able to turn a test strip dark.

This is an excellent point - you could be slipping in and out of ketosis. This process can be brutal as you switch from being a carb burning machine to a fat burning machine. If you don't know what's going on and keep going back and forth, it can be really hard mentally and physically.

Oh and the other 1/2 as soon as you can after your workout. You drink a quick acting protein after your workout?

Do you have BCAAs at your disposal? You can train fasted and use your carbs post-workout to refill. Yes sir! BCAAs are a must. Have a ton of Modern BCAAs, and both Modern and Gaspari precision protein that I drink immediately after lifts.

I bet that's what's happening... he's got the protein low too so there is no glyconeogenesis taking place. I bet if he drops to <50g of carbs he'll feel unbelievable within 10 days.

Daddy loves meat!!! Thats no issue with me!!

Honestly, Im a little closer to 170-180 a day with the protein. I might re-introduce the greek yogurt/protein for breakfast, my overall protein intake stayed higher daily when I was eating that daily. The BCAAs I generally take an hour before lifting and then within an hour after.

Greek yogurt and protein shake is all I eat for breakfast M-F. On the weekends I have a little more time and usually have 4 eggs over easy and 3 slices of ezecual bread.

No not if your gonna do a keto diet. You need more fat... eat more almonds, fish etc.

Almonds are doable, fish is sketchy. Im really picky about it and not many people meet my standards. But I do love Tuna. So at 220lbs, what should I keep the protein intake at? I was just reading a 154lb person should attempt to keep protein intake around 70g. That seems low ultimately, but this will be new to me.

Regarding Keto Diet

Also:
I was reading, too much meat could push you into glycogenesis meaning the meat would be converted to sugar, so too much protein in a keto diet is bad so adding fats is really a plus to make up the difference in loss from carbs.
