Thanks but I was looking more for recipes and how long to cook a pork butt in a crockpot.

Like does anybody have a great rub they use for pork butts or ribs?
I like making rubs with paprika, salt, sugar, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, chili powder, thyme, and ground mustard. You can tweak the ingredients to make it more savory, spicy, or sweet. Experimenting is one of the fun parts of smoking meats.

Great recipe! Looks good. Due you use the same rub for various meats? Or switch it up?

I use it on ribs and Boston Butts. Sometimes I use it on chicken, but I like to tweak it with chicken and make it more savory. When I do that I’ll take out the paprika and pepper and add savory herbs and lemon pepper. Works good with beer can chicken.

We always butcher hogs the weekend after Thanksgiving at my wife's grandma's place with all the aunts, uncles and cousins. Everyone helps and we process quite a few in less than a day. One time I took some ribs that I had smoked and it's kinda become expected for me to bring them now. 😂 So I plan on putting on several racks of ribs and a couple briskets.

That is a lot of meat, I hope it turns out well for you! Also, nice smoker. Did you make that?

Is this all for you/your family? Or are you catering for someone?
I bought it at Lowe's on clearance...and then some.
2 of the briskets and the eye of round are for my parents, the pork shoulder is for my grandma, 2 racks of ribs are for Thanksgiving next weekend and the rest is for mine..... well, mine to share with my wife and daughter. Lol!

You are an animal !!
Got the briskets on sale for $1.99/lb! My mom bought several and then told me about the sale. I had to go to a few different stores in a couple towns because of purchase limits, but I got more than I needed. Can't let a sale like that go to waste! I even went back on the last day of the sale to see if any were left. I asked the butcher if there was still the limit of 2 and he said that if I wanted the last 4 to go ahead and take em all. I happily did! Lol!

Breakfast anyone? 4 eggs and 1/4# pulled pork. Add a couple pieces of toast and a cup of coffee and you've got yourself one of my favorite breakfasts.
