Maximum Recommended Icariin Dose

Does anyone have an idea of what the normal and maximum doses are for Icariin? Also, are there known risks of exceeding what is considered to be the maximum dose?

most people take 400mgs of icariin (extract only)...per dose...the only side effect that i have ever experienced is lightheadedness...and i have taken 1gram of icariin in a single dose b4...

You can get stiff joints from dosing too high, keep your fishoils handy. I would say start at ~500mg/day of actives and adjust from there (Upwards).

I suspect that there may be some shutdown from continued dosing of icariin; although I've got nothing but my personal observations that lead to this suspicion. Does anyone else believe this may be true, or that the body becomes somehow desensitized to icariin and/or dependent on it?
