You see, in my opinion, bi's and tri's are too small of muscle groups to be trained solely. I usually split up my arms between chest and back days. Do 'em with a bigger muscle group I say. Even if you've got Valentino-caliber arms (but they're somehow natural?) that's not gonna generate nearly as large of an anabolic response as compared to training concurrently with a muscle group like your back.
As Vince Gironda did with the original Mr. Olympia, Larry Scott, arms were done following a round of heavy squats. Why? Because arms are a pussy musclegroup. There. I said it.
Jaws tend to drop when I say I only do one working set of curls per week. Needless to say, however, I make that one set f*cking count. The last drop of wisdom I'll shed here is this; it's not how much your workout that gives you the results, it's how much harder you push yourself each time around.
Are you eating the lunchmeat turkey that comes in slices? Every wonder why it looks totally different than the turkey you get at Thanksgiving? It goes through a rigorous protein denaturing process to make it gel up and conglomerate into a giant "Turkey McNugget" (so to speak) where it is then sliced, packaged, and sent to your local grocer.
If you opt for an alternative protein source, I think you will find some better results. Just my opinion. I'm not one who's sold on lunch meats as a staple protein source.
