420 is tomorrow........im blazin at midnight! who's w/ me?

i might be smoking out this weekend. Figured Id ask about it, although I think I know the answer:

will weed have any effect on my body while taking these supps?:

lean xtreme
leviathan reloaded
dcp
orange triad
fish oil
glycobol
powerFULL

I dont think it would have any effect tbh, but Id rather ask since this is the first time ill smoke while supplementing anything. Which is kinda weird but whatever...

thanks

EDIT: i think it might even be beneficial right? cuz leviathan and dcp curb my appetite like crazy, and since im recomp/cutting that may be good. lol

any insight from anyone greatly appreciated.

Arnold used to love to burn some reefer before workouts. I've been doing it for quite some time too. It's great. It's like my meditation. Keep smoking

Arnold would never do it BEFORE workouts. He did it after winning a contest in the movie Pumping Iron. Can you cite any references that offer Arnold's weed smoking routine?

o yeah, dont take it with DCP.

Too late, haha.

Ive noticed increased paranoia, but thats me.

And dont take it with Leviathan Reloaded, unless you want to alter the experience, but i doubt youd take that at night anyway.

The stims will also make the blood pressure rise more, if your worried about that.

Yeah i can.

Dont know about using when working out.

BUT DEFINATELY USED IT MORE THAN ONCE.

in the movie

a/k/a Tommy Chong Documentary.

There was a snippet of info, that led to believe that chong knew the person who Arnold bought weed from. And Chong and this other person implied that Arnold smoked weeks fairly frequently with some "laughing" to accentuate this point. However, it was very low-key. He didnt want to say bad things about arnold, of course, dont mess with arnold, we all know that.

Cannabis has no noticeable effects on hormone levels.

Cannabis is a muscle relaxant and an anti-inflammatory. Might help to decrease inflammation after exercise leading to a decreased recovery time.

Cannabis is also a vasodilator...this means that it relaxes the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels and allows them to open to a larger diameter, thereby increasing blood flow. Increasing blood flow and circulation isn't a bad thing.

Cannabis also is shown to stimulate appetite. Eating = growth, as you know.

Cannabis also can help with sleep. Sleep = growth.

I personally wouldn't smoke it before a workout, but some people like to. It's a matter of preference, really.

i have 2 favorite times i like smoking some reefer........
before going to the gym.....and after going to the gym.............

I have no respect for chronic drug users. A little pot here and there, sure... I agree about those burnout types. If I'm around them in a group, I'll just sit there and rag on them all night in a very sarcastic/dry manner.

I use GHB every night to go to sleep at just a couple of (ml)s before bed. I use it to sleep through a flight as well. If someone asked what I use to sleep so deeply, 75% of the time if I tell someone what it is, I get, "YOU'RE DATE RAPING YOURSELF! BLAH BLAH BLAH!"

Non-harmful things in moderation, all the way.

No respect for yourself? Or you just jealous that herb makes us so chill and you soo mad! :surprised:

im sad to say i smoke at least once a day... a long time ago i started smoking weed as if it were tobacco. when i dont smoke i turn into a three a day workout monster. which is not a bad thing

I think weed ruins unhealthy lifestlyes... if i can limit myself to smoking everyother day? ill be on the next step to living greater.
Same here. I'm down to a couple times a day for the last year or so, or even just once a day in the evening when I'm busy with school, but its hard to get much lower than that. I hope I have a strong enough desire to quit someday. I didn't read the entire thread yet so idk everything that got posted but I am a physiology student and I've read many papers showing the negative effects on cognitive processing. Here's a Couple Abstracts:

Cognitive measures in long-term cannabis users.Harrison GP Jr, Gruber AJ, Hudson JI, Huestis MA, Yurgelun-Todd D.
Biological Psychiatry Laboratory, McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Belmont, Massachusetts 02478, USA.

The cognitive effects of long-term cannabis use are insufficiently understood. Most studies concur that cognitive deficits persist at least several days after stopping heavy cannabis use. But studies differ on whether such deficits persist long term or whether they are correlated with increasing duration of lifetime cannabis use. The authors administered neuropsychological tests to 77 current heavy cannabis users who had smoked cannabis at least 5000 times in their lives, and to 87 control subjects who had smoked no more than 50 times in their lives. The heavy smokers showed deficits on memory of word lists on Days 0, 1, and 7 of a supervised abstinence period. By Day 28, however, few significant differences were found between users and controls on the test measures, and there were few significant associations between total lifetime cannabis consumption and test performance. Although these findings may be affected by residual confounding, as in all retrospective studies, they suggest that cannabis-associated cognitive deficits are reversible and related to recent cannabis exposure rather than irreversible and related to cumulative lifetime use.

Neuropsychological functioning in adolescent marijuana users: subtle deficits detectable after a month of abstinence.Medina KL, Hanson KL, Schweinsburg AD, Cohen-Zion M, Nagel BJ, Tapert SF.
Department of Psychiatry, University of California, San Diego, and Psychology Department, VA San Diego Healthcare System, San Diego, California 92161, USA.

In adults, studies examining the long-lasting cognitive effects of marijuana use demonstrate subtle deficits in attention, executive function, and memory. Because neuromaturation continues through adolescence, these results cannot necessarily generalize to adolescent marijuana users. The goal of this study was to examine neuropsychological functioning in abstinent marijuana using and demographically similar control adolescents. Data were collected from 65 adolescent marijuana users (n=31, 26% females) and controls (n=34, 26% females) 16-18 years of age. Extensive exclusionary criteria included independent psychiatric, medical, and neurologic disorders. Neuropsychological assessments were conducted after>23 days of monitored abstinence. After controlling for lifetime alcohol use and depressive symptoms, adolescent marijuana users demonstrated slower psychomotor speed (p<.05), and poorer complex attention (p<.04), story memory (p<.04), and planning and sequencing ability (p<.001) compared with controls. Post hoc analysis revealed that the number of lifetime marijuana use episodes was associated with poorer cognitive function, even after controlling for lifetime alcohol use. The general pattern of results suggested that, even after a month of monitored abstinence, adolescent marijuana users demonstrate subtle neuropsychological deficits compared with nonusers. It is possible that frequent marijuana use during adolescence may negatively influence neuromaturation and cognitive development.

Neurocognitive consequences of marihuana--a comparison with pre-drug performance.Fried PA, Watkinson B, Gray R.
Department of Psychology, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K1S 5B6.

In determining the effects of regular marihuana use on neurocognition, abilities within specific relevant cognitive domains prior to regular drug use have not been available. The present study examined effects of current and past regular use of marihuana in subjects for whom pre-drug performance had been ascertained in a prospective, longitudinal fashion. A total of 113 young adults, assessed since infancy, were evaluated using neurocognitive tests for which commensurate measures were obtained prior to the initiation of marihuana smoking. Marihuana users, determined by urinalysis and self-report, were categorized as light (< 5 joints per week) and heavy (> or = 5 joints per week) current users and former users, the latter having used the drug regularly in the past (> or = 1 joint per week) but not for at least 3 months. A third of the subjects were using marihuana on a regular basis at the time of assessment with half being heavy users. Among former, regular users, approximately half had been smoking 5 or more joints per week. Overall IQ, memory, processing speed, vocabulary, attention, and abstract reasoning were assessed. After accounting for potentially confounding factors and pre-drug performance in the appropriate cognitive domain, current regular heavy users did significantly worse than non-users in overall IQ, processing speed, immediate, and delayed memory. In contrast, the former marihuana smokers did not show any cognitive impairments. It was concluded that residual marihuana effects are evident beyond the acute intoxication period in current heavy users after taking into account pre-drug performance but similar deficits are no longer apparent 3 months after cessation of regular use, even among former heavy using young adults.

As for its effects on bodybuilding, cortisol levels raise after THC administration but some research has shown that stress induced cortisol release may be downregulated by THC. In any case the effects of marijuana on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis are both robust and complex.
I, like others, believe that heavy marijuana use as a teenager cause the small gyno that I have always had. This is consistent with the research that has shown that THC may cause testosterone spike followed by raised estrogen levels and lowered test levels. I haven't done much research on the endocrine effects myself but I'll post some if I do.

But really, do you want to be stupider? Cause that's what smoking regularly does...

MJ is great for keeping aggression at bay while on a cycle. It's like a supplement lol.

Haha, I can't believe someone resurrected this post. I do agree. I don't smoke anymore but those are the two things I liked about weed. It just levels me out and I am not overly aggressive. It also kind of levels my sex drive out.

lol.. that is funny you guys smoke weed to calm you down where I buy supps to increase rage and get me wanting to murder weights.. lol

we should all 'wake up' and see that 'pot' as well as steroids are made legal......i always thought that by the time i turned fifty 'weed' would be legal.........we live in such a repressive society.......it's no joke....we clog up our prisons with 'drug users'......i used to think we were smarter than that................................
...by the way i'm turning sixty in a few weeks and still can't smoke in peace.........

just like anything, excessive amounts is harmful

smoking a little "reefer" from time to time is ok health wise but legally depending on where you live is another story

i'll leave u with arnold's take on it

Sorry but this video is fake. He said it afterwards (At an older age), that he wasn't actually smoking marijuana and it was just a joke.

This is true. I am 23 and I am hopeful that it will be legalized in my life time. I think it will be at the rate we are moving in. I don't use it except on a rare occasion but it is still an embarrassment how strict we are about it. If the government grew it and taxed it, like cigarettes...the possibilities.

planetfuzz............to be BLUNT about it.........i waited 40years.........you think you'll do better?.................................

Recently purchased a vape... the thing is great. My question to you experts out there:
Is there any other herbs worth vaping? I mean we take so many supplements, could we try vaping some other herbs to extract some of there properties that could help with bodybuilding or overall health?

Very interesting, I'm sure some things would be heat sensitive... But could it be used for something?

I'm thinking about grinding up some fennel or fenugreek seed to see if I can vape it lol. Being high makes me think outside the box sometimes
