Not for long though! I refuse it, upping to 4500+ a day starting yesterday. I'm eating pack of that tuna steak like its going out of style. Not happy here, 190 or bust. Complete mind fûck today where I felt I'm spinning my wheels. Mainly on arms.

Side note quit taking slintensity 3 days ago and the stomach pain died down 2 days ago...

There is something you need to remember too buddy. There is this thing on cycle that is an enemy to keeping gains coming indefinitely called homeostasis. It is what your body is constantly trying to achieve...on and off cycle.

Even when on 10 times the normal range of hormones, your body is trying to normalize itself. After a while on, your body will see these extra hormones as "the new normal" so it won't build muscle at the same rate as it did when you started the cycle. While this is happening, your androgen receptors are being down regulated as well. It is a double whammy against further gains. Some people fight this by introducing higher dosages or more/different compounds, but it isn't worth it IMO. You are facing diminished returns for more sides and more shutdown. As long as you are 500-1000 or so cals over maintenance, that is all you need. Anything extra will add weight yes, but it will not be the kind you want. This is the reason I like to add size the first half of these long cycles, and use the last half to shred up.

If we could just keep gaining on cycle, we would all be Ronnie Coleman's in a couple years. Even guys that never come off blast and cruise largely because of that reason (as well as health)

Just food for thought and my. 02 bud ;)

Great info and will take note. Even if this is my new normal I don't think I'm done growing matter fact I know I'm not. Will take this into consideration but my plan as of now will remain to make more gains!!!! 190 or bust before I shred up!!!! Plenty of time and I think another 7 lbs isn't much especially if I add SD. If I think I add too much fat I will reevaluate.

Oh don't get me wrong brosef. In no way am I saying you are done gaining. I just wanted to make sure you understood that throwing more calories at it is not the solution. A good rate to aim for is 1-2 lbs per week over maintenance. 3500 cals equals 1 pound, so a 500 per day surplus equals 1 pound per week and 1000 cals over maintenance equals 2 lbs per week. Now....on cycle that is obviously different as you will gain at a faster rate. But even on cycle, you can and will gain fat with too much surplus. There is only so much muscle your body can build (even on cycle) and anything in excess will be stored as fat.

I'm a moderator of the largest steroid forum on the internet, and its ridiculous the amount of information I've learned there. I'm just trying to share with you some info I learned to help you better understand how and why things happen on cycle

I'm currently at 3500 on workout days and 2500 on cardio/rest days and this is the HIGHEST I will go. That is about maintenance on rest days with a 1000 surplus on workout days. In a few weeks I will go to 3000/2000, then towards the end may go to 2500/1700 to really shred up. ;)

Now go get that 190 bud!

Thank you sir! Unfortunately I think our metabolisms may be a bit different even if we are at the same weight. I was at about 3500 and lost 2 lbs over a week. Hence why I upped the calories back up. My metabolism is a bitch and the added calories I'm throwing are to ensure that I'm not killing potential gains. I feel it was my fault I'm not at 190 already because I was scared of fat and almost started to cut.

RR I've heard of ppl doing "mini cuts" in the middle of a cycle when weight slows down to like shock the system. Any legitness to that? Like 10-12 days at Maintence during lifting days and just under on non lifting days?

Yeh but remember I'm quite a bit older than you too. I don't remember how old exactly you are, but I'm 38 and my metabolism is much slower than it was 10 years ago...lol.

A good rule of thumb that works for most (but not everyone) for figuring maintenance is...

Body weight x 14 for average metabolisms

Body weight x 13 for slower metabolisms

Body weight x 15 for faster metabolisms

That formula will work for 90%+ of people of all ages.

Absolutely. When gains stall its excellent to capitalize on all those extra hormones. They will hold all your muscle while putting yourself into a cut. Then, that "shock" to the system you are talking about happens because the body is always more anabolic following a cut and will build muscle a little better vs someone that had continued above maintenance. Actually if your diet and training are set up correctly, there is no reason you can't recomp each and every cycle. Steroids are perfect for both gaining muscle and losing fat.

Great info RR! You da man! That is the first I've heard of that system for maintenance. Learning daily. My biggest thing is I want to look back in June when I'm at 10 or sub 10 percent and know I did everything I could to make sure I'm holding more muscle then last summer.

Stand tall and be proud knowing that you are progressing very very well. When we see ourselves everyday, it is hard to see the changes we have made and therefore we put all our stock into what the scale says, but that thing will lie!!! Others can tell progress though, and I can tell you from bring someone watching your journey and transformation, you have done excellent my friend. Remember that Rome wasn't built in a day. Bodybuilding is Marathon, not a sprint. I guarantee you that in a couple more years you will be blown away by how you've changed and a couple years after that the same will be true. We are our own worst critics, but it is good because it keeps us both humble and motivated!!
