Thanks guys. Journey begins August 1st. I got approved for the place I wanted. Gym and work are one block away. I’m gonna have nothing else to do but get yoked and kill it at work.

Spending your extra free time on self development will go a long way, therapy-wise. Training, working, reading, cooking, maybe practicing acquiring a new skill or hobby. You won’t be in a place to get into a serious relationship, but you will be in a place to enrich your life and elevate your offerings when you do get to a place where it’s time to be open to another serious relationship.

Obstacles or Opportunities

I just listed my entire setup for sale. Except my rack, power bar, benches, enough plates and dumbbells. I wanna not have to keep coming back here. I think the reverse hyper and flye machine are sold

That’s gonna take some time. I’m crushed with the absence of my 3 now. I’ve been at the house solo with them about 2 weeks just chilling if I’m not working
 
Ok guys I know this is a forum about lifting and this log has been lacking that. I’ve joined my new gym. Gonna try and find time this week before the move, tough but they’re open til 1am. They have 4 racks with Olympic platforms, a bunch of specialty bars, leg press and all the machines a meat head could ask for. I plan on just enjoying a different atmosphere the first few weeks with stuff I haven’t had access to in a while. I’ll then decide what kind of program I’m going to do. Might do a bro split for a change. One thing I can say is a going to smash my strict standing OHP PR of 225. I’m most excited about this. Stay tuned

Should be in there Monday. I’m really taking this last week to buy everything I need…starting fresh and to spend extra time with my pups when I can. Turn 39 on Sunday, back in the gym and living on my own, Monday.
 
Well the home gym is slowly being sold off. Things are getting real. I had a guy try and lowball me at my doorstep. I instinctively thought about hitting him with a 45. Instead I told him I’d be more than happy to carry everything back down the basement and he could get off my block. He paid. I’m selling plates at like $.75/lb for gods sake!
Another guy wanted to buy my squat bar but said it was too long and he’d never heard of a bar that long. I hate people.

That idiot didn’t know what he had in the squat bar…if you weren’t 16 hours away I would definitely be interested in some of your stuff. But the price of gas, renting a truck, or shipping bulk weight, the dollars just don’t make sense.

Someone will probably want your chains, then complain when they’re not long enough for towing or whatever

I have had a couple people show up to buy cars over the years who tried to low ball me all of a sudden when a price had already been set. I just tell them no, and they realize they are the ones who will have to head home empty-handed if they don’t pony up. If they didn’t really want it, they wouldn’t have shown up, so they already revealed their hand.

I just sold a board member some stuff. He got a Rogue power bar for $100. Just to give an idea of the prices I’m willing to do for people especially taking more than one thing.

It was cool to meet someone from here in real life. You’ll realize how great that bar is once you wrap your hands around any other. For this reason I’m not selling my Texas power bar. I’m hoping to be able to lock it up at my gym at some point.

New gym isn’t too shabby. All eleiko racks, bars and plates. Didn’t take pics cuz it was super crowded by the time I made it. Did shoulders and smoked 185x2 standing ohp after a very long time away from this lift. Legs in the morning. Turned 39 yesterday, started my new life today.

On my way out I found an Ohio power bar. Now I’m in love with this gym. Went at 8am today. Perfect time from what I can see. Still just getting use to the layout and figuring out which direction I want to go with my training.
 
Strength is coming back. Had an awesome push day today. Switching things up and hitting muscles I haven’t hit in a while. Got to the gym 4 days this week. Spent 2hr there today, working. Still haven’t spoken a single word to anyone haha. Found a rogue Swiss bar which is never being used. Just having fun right now and getting the work in. Been a while since I’ve done that. I’m thinking I’ll do a P/P/L split with a pump and fluff day if time allows. Just trying to eat eat eat and get my weight back up. I’m at 195lb as it stands so I’d like to get to 205lb asap then go to 215lb.

I swear the hardest part about a new gym is figuring out who’s cool and who to work in with 😂 sounds like you’re hitting a groove brother! 💪🏻

Got a body scan done at the gym today. I’m 199lb at 21% bmi. Not bad, however it showed the muscle in my legs is lacking comparatively so I’m gonna work on that. Might start doing a 4 day split, hitting legs twice in a week.
 
Ok I’m back. I’m motivated and I’m ready to make this my best year. Enough feeling sorry for myself and my situation. It’s time to grow in and out of the gym. I’m about to turn things up a bit. Thanks for all the support. You guys rule.

You’re the man. A lot of guys have guided me along the way but you’re always there even for the dumbest questions haha.

I was telling my wife over dinner last night about how when we were first getting serious about lifting we would buy tubs of Waxy Maize from Nutraplanet on sale because all the bodybuilding mags told us it was an Anabolic Glycogen Hyper-Reloaderator and would make us massively fueled for sick pumps and faster recovery.

Our dumb asses were chugging what amounted to be scoops of corn starch in our BCAAs during training, getting sick to our bloated stomachs from this lead balloon of sludge we kept ingesting, ruining all of our training sessions. And the really bad part, not the falling for the bullshit marketing, was that we kept drinking it until it was gone! Like Ron Burgundy in Anchorman trying to choke down warm milk in the peak of a summer afternoon 🤢

If I can ever help someone not do the equivalent of drinking another tub of corn starch, I’ll be satisfied.

Took it easy today for legs. Just wanted to see if I had any pain. Happily, I did not. However, I’m very tight. On Hyde’s suggestion I will begin doing the McGill 3 daily upon waking. I’m hopeful that I can keep this tightness at bay and continue injury free.

I’m a little disappointed in my ohp. I haven’t been able to do it in some time and now my numbers really show. It’s definitely something I’m going to perfect.

Today’s push shoulder day was awesome otherwise. I have the day off so this workout was the main focus of the day. I feel strong and motivated. I like doing a mix of high and low reps, taking advantage of all the equipment I have at my disposal. My body is also starting to change, which isn’t bad either.
