That sounds frustrating, but the way you told that story had me cracking up

I just tell people the truth about how long I think I’ll be, and that they can work in, but if they don’t want to then don’t hover over me - come back and check when I told you.

He watched me put the plates on. I didn’t offer because he was an idiot. Like cmon dude.

Oh yea I also had a guy try and stop me mid set on seated row to tell me he liked my Slayer shirt. This is why I go at 10am on weekdays.

My old gym could be like that. I like being in a gym that’s too intimidating for most inexperienced lifters now.

It is effective channeling that emotion directly into barbell knurling. Magical things happen on many fronts.

I took a few days off training. Starting seeing this girl who’s much younger than me and I have 3 back to back late nights. I don’t regret not going to the gym at all. It just a few days but that’s why there’s no update on training.

Otherwise I did this today

Impromptu after work session because when I skip a few days I think I’ve lost all muscle.

Had to start on incline because apparently at night we only bench or use a bench for something other than benching. It helped that I walked in so angry at what I saw.

So I won’t make it back to the gym until at the earliest Sunday but probably Monday. Got a crazy 3 days ahead of me work wise including an at least 12hr bar shift on Saturday. I chose to do legs today so I could restart my split after.

The 30 reps of 135 to end my squats was amazing but Jesus did I wanna walk out right after. Today was day 1 of 50mg Var. I’m hopeful for how things are going both in and out of the gym. Life is almost perfect just 2 months after thinking it was over. Just gotta keep pushing forward and doing the next right thing no matter what others do to you.

Squats
10x45x2/135x2/225x2
3x315x2/345
30x135 (6reps, 3sec pause without racking, repeat)

High rep squats have a simple way of putting life into perspective.
Agreed. I recently switched one of my leg days to include a ton of goblet squats with a measly 35 lb dumbbell, and later in the session simple body weight Bulgarian split squats to near failure. It’s horrible, but hot damn the pump!

Var isn’t particularly something I notice affecting joints. You may try to skip a dose of AI if you don’t think it will be a big gyno risk currently.

Good to hear. So maybe if you were taking 2 doses a week of AI, try 2-3 total doses over 2 weeks. It’s a running experiment, but if you are continually getting into universal joint pain/creaminess you know you’re overdoing it.

Came home from work after getting horrible sleep last night. Napped. Ate a burrito. Wanted to squat. Walked in and the same rack I always use was open with power bar racked. Left gym and realized when I got home I forgot my inzer. Walked back and it was right where I left it. All is well.

I use Cerberus 7mm knee sleeves during squats.
Would you recommend that brand? I used to have some Mark Bell sleeves and they were alright, but my blue heeler pup a year ago decided they looked too tasty to pass up.

Use code KITE10 for 10% off at Cerberus We don’t get anything, but you’ll save some cash.

I have a lot of gear from them and never regretted it once, although I’ll say their sizing runs small/tight so go up in size when in doubt!

Put some work in today. Experimenting with dbol doses pwo, ~15mg hit me just right. Pump was so bad by the end that I had no choice but to stop. I’m most pleased with todays benching. 275x5 may not seem like much but I feel like in a few weeks this could be done for multiple sets.

I’m also leaning out considerably with the addition of Var. The tail end of this blast is going super smooth with some minor tweaks.

All the racks were occupied when I walked in so I warmed up with some leg extensions. A rack opened up so I grabbed it. A guy walked up and asked to use the platform. Sure, I wasn’t working outside the rack. He then attempted to do snatches with 135, fail. So this asshat adds more weight each time not doing a rep ever, while filming. I finally made eye contact with him in the mirror mid squat and shook my head no. He put all weight away and went home. I blame TikTok.

If you can wait 6 weeks to get your gear, anyone looking to make a Cerberus order should sign up for emails because they usually always send out a 15% off code for Black Friday.

The only way to PR your fails is to move up in weight.
