Liquid Protein - sux ??

I been lazy to make shakes, so for the past week I have been consuming 4 vials of liquid protein daily. I am horrified to find my weight has gone up 2 lbs, belly is bloated, and I was 5 lbs weaker on my bench max.

It seems I am not getting the protein it claims to be serving and why am I fatter & weaker on bench???

Have others tried liquid protein? Experiences?

The irony . . . a fitness guy is too lazy to make a shake.

I am sure you cannot blame the protein for your weaker bench, numbers can fluctuate for many reasons: pre-workout meal, stress, overall energy.

How much protein is in each vial? I need to take shakes for the convenience since I cannot eat during my workday, but my main priority is whole food protein.

There is 42 g protein in each vial - a mixture of collagenic protein isolate, whey & casein isolate.

Perhaps my belly is all bloated & bench weaker coz I had a period of 30 hrs straight with no sleep. The next day I took 1/4 mg xanax to help get knocked out for 7 straight hrs.

So all in all:

1) Relying too much on the liquid protein (4x42 = 168g) and not as much on whole food

2) Missing a day of sleep that had prolly had my cortisol running rampant and could explain the major bloat

Guess that explains it ? Or could the liquid protein also be blamed for the bloat? Anyone else experience that? Maybe I should limit my intake to 2 vials a day instead of 4. The rest of my protein ought to come from food.

I would imagine the 30hours no sleeping would have impacted your bench weight - I spent a long time staying up for stupid hours like this when at Uni and my lifting suffered as a result.

I take the f**k out of AMS's Proto Plasma (liquid protein) and I freakin love it.. I'd say its the xan and lack of sleep that is doing you in.
