Citrus Bergamot & 7Keto DHEA can Raise HDL some.

Quality fish oil as stated.

I hear all of you loud and clear. The unified "voice of reason".
Already feeling better. Depression is gone for now.
:)
Good to hear. After my hernia surgery (which is nothing in comparison) I was effectively bed ridden for two weeks with the exception of short walks around the block and up and down stairs. (I did build a really bitchin dinosaur park on Jurassic world on PS4 though). I went back to work after two weeks and started with light weights at around 4, was deadlifting after 6 weeks again with light weight (but let's face it I deadlift with light weight when I'm 100%). Doctor was fine with this, wife was still telling me I was doing too much too soon.

Not sure what my point is cos our situations were very different but I was itching to crack on with stuff and was constantly being told to get back in bed. Good advice. It's been barely a week for you right?

When something we love is taken away, it gets depressing. Between this heart issue and a shoulder/rotator tear 7 weeks ago, I'm almost useless in the gym (with the iron). After 41 years of doing something a certain way,and now I cant, yup, depressing. Cardio has become my main focus for good reason, and I do what I can w/ machines for my body for now, while I heal. H.G.P, take it slow as you heal, you're in it for the long haul, this tough/depressing time will pass as you heal up, and "up" your training....

Thank you for the wishes.
Today, the doc basically was giving me @MrKleen73 's "gibbs smack". After revising my sternum he said: "You have to put in double effort in doing NOTHING involving arms."

Reminds me of Flintstones and how they walk.

Not in the mood to go through a surgery like this again, any time soon. Now reading about arteriosclerosis -and what could be done to prevent it.

Most promising I found so far is:
Pomegranate juice extract and SOD (Superoxide Dismutase ) -Gliadin
Fish oil seems beneficial too.

Any recommendations from you guys?
Black tea extract

Had my first workout today!
20 minutes and overly aware of form, to not stress my thorax.
All with rubber bands.
Managed to do:
- 2 different biceps exercises
- 2 different triceps exercises
-1 side delt raise exercise
-1 rear delt raise exercise

Bonus: Box squats, body weight and slow-mo

Can't say I got to failure -but I felt a decent pump. Not gonna go crazy on it, just enough to halt catabolism.
Felt AMAZING!

Meanwhile I'm searching for flights to Bananaland!!! SO doubling the effort to do nothing involving arms includes an arm based workout huh? You just want to see me even it you get slapped huh? It's okay I can understand that. I am fugging AWESOME!!!

Still man, that is exactly against Dr's orders. Stop being so compulsive, you are not going to get small by waiting two more weeks but you will get a lot smaller if you are decomposing in the ground, or put on bed rest because you can't be trusted to listen to the doc... I am glad it felt great but please give it 2 more weeks at least. I know telling you to stop being compulsive is like saying "Stop being you!" However in this case... just a little more time you tough ass hard headed SOB!!! All said with love for you of course brother!

I know, I'm a lost case. The doc surely meant anything involving thorax. I made sure to isolate the target muscles good, no chest involved, I swear.
By the way, the doc looks like someone who considers chess to be a sport.

Thanks for watching out -but no promises from my end, other than being cautious.

You just need to keep it so light and so ridiculously short of failure that it would be impossible to lose control or even flex the torso.

Guided, gentle ISOLATED movement is good for you. Remotely moving what you need to not move...that would indeed be dumb! Think movements a rehab specialist would approve of. If that sounds extremely limited, you would be correct.

So, um, you think you are being disciplined and tough because you don't have the discipline to do nothing, so you are doing completely worthless workouts by using weights that won't accomplish a damned thing?

If you are using a light weight then you are doing CARDIO. Just use your legs then and do some cardio. You are being like the guy standing on a bosu ball (or whatever they are called) trying to do squats with one leg. Azzhat.

They need to put you on a fkn thorazine drip for the next 60 days just to keep you from being a DUMBA$$! I mean i really do love ya and want nothing but the best and feel like stuff like GW/cardarine and all the natty supps mentioned and some test and maybe even a little micro dose of deca for collagen might be helpful but damn man, if you do mot let it heal then you cant do ****. At least 14 days of being a lazy frikin shyte. Then do the girliest workout ever- like national guard female fitness test, lol. I mean after a gsw I wasnt able to move for 48hours and first 3 times i did to go take a dump hurt so frikin bad but like you i pushed it. Now I have issues bc of that. Walked home 5.7mi after rolling a car 7 times over a 6ft embankment- have problems from that. And so many more. But i was younger and dumber. I'd like to think if i were in your shoes I'd just pop the pills they give me, ask for a refill and wait a solid 2 weeks before doing a damn thing. Maybe bicycle on my back to get blood flowing and still pop my arginine and veet root for blood flow but fkn a brother-
TAKE IT EASY!

Stay well and keep us updated.
How'd you recover/feel after that isolation session?

Tomorrow again! Its stimulating and gives good blood flow to the otherwise useless muscles. I bet it helps to hold on to some lean mass.

Weight is going down fast. Today I weighted the lowest in , what, 30 years?
89.5kg (197lbs) . Judging by mirror, I'm losing almost exclusively muscles. Awesome.... (not).
I eat good and watch my protein, currently between 130-160gr/d. Can't eat more without force feeding.
Using TRT dose of test (175mg/w), nothing else, besides doc prescribed beta blockers and NSAIDS.

Genuinely have never seen any human data on this...

@hairygrandpa - have a nice long read up on 'Pauling therapy'
Should have known he would have had a protocol for this. I don't know what to think about that guy. Some of his stuff seems like total far-fetched quackery. But, the problem is, I somehow think he may he right too. I hesitate to totally believe his vitamin C theories, but I still take 5-6 grams a day and rarely get sick. And when I do get a cold I have dropped 60+ grams and been over colds in a day that everyone else in my family took weeks to get over.

Damn, you have been through some rough ones!

My farthest walk home ever occurred just a few weekends ago. I just thought I was going out to a restaurant/bar with a friend to grab something to eat. 15 hrs, a few bars, 2 hotel rooms, and a successful high speed chase away from the cops later (I was merely a clueless and innocent passenger)...I seized my opportunity to get out of a bad situation and walked home 7 miles at 7AM. I got 2 hrs of sleep, was severely dehydrated, and hadn’t eaten since the day before...it was awful! Technically, I was also sexually taken advantage of that night. Well, I said “no” numerous times, but that stopped once I realized how good it felt.

I mainly share this because:
A. It happened
B. This is a HGP thread
Thank you for the sermon, brother. :)

There is actually quite a lot further independent research on his theory utilising lysine, proline and vitamin C. Given none of these are toxic at basically any dose it would be something I personally would pursue as an “adjuvant” therapy to whats clinically prescribed.

Or ya know you could try 1000000 things like black tea extraxt, shown in one mice study to maybe assist.

I'm aware of Paulings teachings about Vit-C. Gonna read a bit more as you suggested. For now I'm going with Pomegranate extract, fish oil and Niacin.
Pomegranate could be the bomb:

I have to admin, just to join in with annoying you, I did wince when I read you were working out with the band's.

Seriously do nothing with your arms. Don't worry about the apparent muscle lose. Muscle memory will be there and after the time off when you do get back on it your body will respond to stimulus well cos it will have been a while. As long as your not sitting stuffing yourself with 5000 calories of burger kings and pizzas your not gonna undo all your hard work.

When your in a position where a heavy sneeze could be catastrophic taking risks even with light weights just isn't worth it.

Sorry HGP, I agree with all of them. Love you bro but coming from someone who worked out too early after surgery and spent an extra 3 months in rehab because of it. It’s not worth it bro

For some reason this reminded me of the time when the police started to chase me in my 86 GTI back into the neighborhood where I lived and luckily I had all of my lights on a kill switch so if I flipped it the only lights that would stay on where my super bright European fog lights but even if I hit the brakes my rear lamps would not light up and it was a black car. So I am bombing through Backroads of Suburbia and taking the twisties between 45 + 65 with couple of fog lights mounted on the bottom of my bumper and that's it and after a cup of quick turns I pulled up in a neighbor's driveway an inch in front of their minivan turn off the fog lights in the engine and just sat there for 30 minutes while I watched three or four different cop cars drive all throughout my neighborhood looking for something, I'm not sure what though.... He he. Volkswagen!

And HGP, if you ever talk smack about one of my sermons again the good Lord will strike you down! He will use his Almighty power and make sure that the only thing you touch for the rest of your days is a Shake Weight while wearing a pink leotard!

And I don't know if it would apply here or not but there is some stuff called C60 that is supposed to be some super antioxidant stuff and I think it's made by live longer labs. My lady's family is into all that stuff because of a close family members TBI and I'm not quite sure what all of the benefits are supposed to be but from my understanding it's basically supposed to be good for everything and help be a very potent antioxidants and good for protecting your DNA and such but I don't know. Just thought I would mention it.

Hairygrandpa, you must not know much about stress and recovery of you are thinking you can avoid muscle loss during a surgical recovery period by adding more stress to overcome. It will be completely ineffective, may even cause more loss of strength and will certainly delay recovery...making for a longer time to get the strength back.

Grandpa, does your Doc know you are on TRT? (Not sure if prescribed or self administered). If he knows, what does he say about it? (Concerning the heart, atherosclerosis, etc). My 1st appt. w/ new cardiologist is in a couple weeks, wondering what he is going to tell me about my 100 mg a week TRT? Ive read its protective for those who had heart issues, we've all ready that it causes cardiac issues, too much "unknown " I guess...

Yes and he said: "No more hormones."
He may have the power to put me on some heart medicine -but condemning me to "Perma-hanging-willy" is met with hostility.

I had heart trouble before starting roids and lifting. Lifting cured my left ventricular hypertrophy. The closed arteries are the bill for my 20+ years of binge drinking and morbid obesity -not the result of my 3 years of mostly moderate roid use and good nutrition.

On the other hand, orals are probably not in my future -and I have to watch cholesterol constantly.

I would be willing to bet the use of gear didn't help, and I wouldn't say your use is moderate unless you are comparing yourself to the likes of Rich Piana and Bostin Lloyd. You cycle very often, and yeah you have recently lowered your doses a lot but some of your older cycles were pretty hardcore by average recreational use standards with lots of methyls. I wouldn't dismiss that with the cholesterol / plaque build up as not being a factor.

I am not and will not tell you not to use hormones. You are a grown man, but definitely take pause to really allow yourself a bit to reflect.

I will say this, I have not been on anything this year and I lost a good bit of size while i was not lifting much, or at all during the first 7-8 months. I am gaining my size back now and with just my TRT dose and calories have managed to regain a huge chunk of my size back! When i finally choose to cut to see what I have rebuilt I will be looking very impressive. I may be 4-5 lbs lighter in the end, but who cares.

You will not lose that muscle memory, aka extra nucleoli that was imported into the cells from other satellite cells. So the ability to get back to that size or very close will be there without cycling. Plus you have been saying you wanted to be a sleek sexy 185 for a while now, and you would not ever need to cycle again to get there my friend.

Keep in mind at your height and 185 you would probably look a lot like I did natty at 185 during prep. You are already leaner and have more muscle than i did at the beginning of prep even in your current condition and weight. I was 195 and no abs showing at all when I started and was 183 in this pic I think. Just something to think about.

@hairygrandpa, take note. Kleen just posted a long as quote and I am not quoting him with any counter arguments. For once, he has good points. Not to mention, I wish I had a physique like that bastard. But I guess some people get looks and others get brains. And then...I am left wondering where my piece of the pie is.

Anyway, I think you need to start to realize that YOU are responsible for your gains. Not drugs or peptides. You have some REALLY long logs on here. I mean, some of your logs go on for years and have dozens of pages. And not just one log like that...but 5 or 6 at least.

And you do a TON of work in the gym on every page of every one of those logs.

You can go at it half azzed like a wounded animal or you can rest and plan and prepare and BUILD motivation. Get the fire burning...and go at it hard after you recover. This is not over. This half time. You go to the locker room and regroup, you don't keep running into the endzone when no one else is on the field and the points don't matter.

I think you are coming through. One can hardly argument against your advise, when looking at that pic of yours.

Not sure how all that tastes...but just mix the powder and then get a scoop would be easier. Capping all that could be a PITA.

Ubiquinol , carnosine and zinc go in one capsule. All the others separately. Mixing fibers with all this will hinder absorption big time, I guess.

It can increase blood and air circulation.

In regards to horses:

1) Jiaogulan contains powerful antioxidant ability through raised amounts of the Superoxide Dismutase enzyme which leads to healthy immune cells.

3) It leads to normal functioning of the cells and communication between different organs.

Yes, I looked it up. The price tag scares me to death.
I'm currently passing through a economical drought.
In that case- Acetyl L-carnitine baby! Bag of raw powder is cheap as fahk and hemps cardiac tissue, helps remove ammonia, helps loose fat, cleanses adrogen receptors*, and i would be happy* to send you some. As im sure a bunch of us on here would send you some of this or that. I could put together a real nice care package. And this was my girls idea when i told her what happened. She knows i have no life and how much u make me laugh etc so we'd be happy to put something together for u, just lmk. Think u have my mail, just lmk if u send something so i know to look.
