These didn't go well at all! My wrists hurt, my biceps hurt, and my anterior deltoid hurt.

1st picture you look like a viking warrior. Maybe you should see if you can be an extra on that show.

Yeah, just never got around to it.

I finally got mine last week. the crazy thing was as hard as it was to get myself to finally go under the needle, I was ready to have a sleeve made within 5 minutes of him starting, lol. everyone said its painful but I thought it felt good.

Had to stop. I got a splitting headache. I stained a door in my weight room/garage yesterday, and it's still to tacky to move. I had the door open all day, but closed it up to workout with the air conditioning on. Still too many vapors in the room.

Congrats man. I'm already at a point that i dont want to do midnight feedings but hey adrenaline takes care of that. babies smell good and also breast milk is a miracle protein. you'll deadlift 600 in a year.

Either, lol. We're going to need to teach this one the importance of taking care of your elders.

maybe keep this one out of Europe too if i remember right lol

Right! Damn hostels.

I've realized that my workouts have been pretty spotty since my last day of school. You'd think I'd have more time to workout, not the case. I working on my house about 12 hours a day doing trim and door replacement. But do I do it the easy way? NO! I'm making door trim and baseboards from an F-ing tree. Planing, ripping, crosscutting, shaping, sanding, staining, etc. It takes a ridiculous about of time. I'm putting in 6-panel interior oak doors to replace all the sh!tty hollow doors. And to achieve the color I want, it takes 3 coats of stain and 3 coats of poly. Dry time is a b!tch. Point is, I've gone from a mental job (teaching) to a physical job (remodeling), and it's making workouts difficult. I need to man up.

These pics look pretty crappy compared to in-person. Basically, it's a very rich brown in low light, and red hues come out in bright light.

Before we sold our house it took all the trim off, sanded, stained and put back up. Was a lot hard than I thought it would be. Slow process to say the least.

Was it previously stained? I assume it wasn't painted. That would be a huge undertaking. I bet it looked nice.

I like the turn of the century houses (the last turn, not the recent one) that have the dark stained, heavy baseboards. Lots of character. I know the trend has been white paint for the past few years...maybe 10, but I have issues with painting solid hardwood.

I was stained and agree with you on painting wood. Even a light stain is better then the white paint it seems is the trend right now. Think stained wood looks a lot better and adds a touch of elegance to it.

So i just bought this new loft in Tacoma that i'm super jazzed about and I was noticing little imperfections in the floor install (bamboo type kinda like hardwood, but bamboo). its very cool material but I've done i think 6 floor installs in 4 different houses and I've got that down to a science. for woodwork, floors is kinda my limit of knowledge.

metal though... I've made some fun hotrods. rebuilt custom frames, bodywork, etc. give me a welder and a grinder and a case of beer and i'm happy for a weekend.

Everyone has their talent. I rebuilt the fenders on my F250 a few years back. Apparently I did it wrong because they rusted out within 2 years. Me and cars don't get along...not my talent.

Something's up with my right bicep. It hurt last week when I tried to do pull ups and failed. Now it hurts when I try to curl. I've never had a bicep pull or strain. I'm wondering if it would be from hyper extending it from something like deads or trap bar shrugs? Maybe that's not technically a "hyper extension," but you get the point.

Okay, my low back started spasming (not a word apparently) when I bent over to strip the weight from deads. Today is day 12 of cutting, sanding, and staining wood trim, most of which is me leaning over a bench. I'm wondering if this is all compounding in my low back. I haven't had any big issues of late, but it's been creeping up...sort of like old age...and death. Damn it, I hate getting older!!!

lol can relate. also do you guys salt the roads? that's not something i have to deal with out here. we only get maybe one snow day a year.

Hopefully once your done with all the work you back fells better. I know when I was doing all my work being bent over almost all day really made it hurt. Happy Fourth!!!

Salting roads? Where did that come from? Um, yes, the county salts like crazy here. Roads are crap for probably 3-4 months.

Unfortunately there is no end in site from the monotonous sanding and staining of trim. Today I poly'd 26 trim pieces twice, and that's just for one room! Every board gets 3 coats of stain and 3 coats of poly. Sooooooooo much work to do still.

biceps could be from overtucking on bench or low bar squats too

I never thought about that. I'll have a spotter watch me from the side next time I bench.

my bicep sometimes gets sore from dips believe it or not.

oh you mentioned the rusted out F250 fenders.

So when tucking elbows on bench was mentioned, I had my wife spot me from the side on bench and it was fine. But then the next day I was doing dips, elbows obviously tucked. And if memory serves me correctly, my biceps have been sore (my right bicep only) for a couple weeks, about the same time I started using extra weight on dips again. Now you mention dips. That must me it! I'm going to have to think about the biomechanics involved with this because I can't wrap my head around why my bicep would get hurt from a tricep push. Is there an imbalance? How do I address that?

And yes, cars rust out fast in Michigan. Your cars are either new or rusty. No in between.

Really slacking on the workouts this week...but making awesome progress on my house...but running out of money fast.

Low back is still shot, but I have full range of motion, so that tells me it's just tired, sore, and who knows, maybe a bulging disc. I go in for my annual doctor appointment in a month or so. If its still an issue, I'll tell him. He loves to run tests.

Biceps on bench is new to me. Squats I get bicep issues now again but for bench I am clueless on the issue. To much tucking seems like it would cause it and dips would not have a clue on it.
