We finally are getting our new shakers in after a long wait and we would like to get some out to some AM members.

Tell us a funny story about how you broke one of your shakers as we all have at some point. If you have pix of a recent break that is always a bonus. We will let this run for at least a week so lets here some funny stories.

First time I ever purchased a "blender bottle" this past July. Since then I have spilled protein several times in it. Filled the bottle with milk, added protein and shook. Protein drink all over shirt, floor, kitchen cabinets, counter. I'm lucky this hasn't happened yet on carpet. With a shaker cup I haven't had this happen. I don't know, maybe I'm just "Special"?.
 
I'm not participating in this, but my girlfriend got mad at me once and she stepped on my shaker - and it was filled with BCAA's. Woman knew that messing with my gains would make me sad!
 
Seeing this thread and how sweet those shakers look I'm will to go break one of my old PP shakers just to win one of these..
 
Threw mine in the sink on top of a hot frying pan i had just put there myself 2 seconds before and melted a hole in it
 
I had a very old blender bottle and it was over 3 years old. Green stuff was even growing on the bottom. I left it on my kitchen counter and then my GF mistaking put it on my stove top (electric) right front burner. The burner was off ..but still hot. After a few min that burning rubber smell was all over my house. I of course got pissed off at her and then when I cooled down..I was laughing.
 
After doing dishes one night, the ball from one of my WalMart special bottles got down into the garbage disposal and as soon as I turned it on it tangled itself around all the blades. I had to remove the disposal to get it undone.

Thats the only mishap I've had with a bottle (knock on wood)
 
Oh man. We have all been here. This is some good stuff.

2 of the worst fir me.

1. Was doing some db press and had it next to the bench. Homeboy next to me though he was bad stuff and when he couldn't press anymore threw the dbs down, they bounced right over and smack right on my cup. Full cup of bcaas. I almost lost it but was the bigger man.

2. Forgot about the shaker in my car on the floor for like 3 days in the summer. Saw it opened it and holy shat. Call in the hazmat peeeps. Just bout puked.
 
Leaving my wife's army base, where I work out sometimes, after a workout and I was drinking my shake on the way out. I put my shaker on my pickup's bed cover while I was putting my gym bag in the back seat. Jumped into the driver's seat, started my truck, and backed out of my parking space. I started to drive off by some soldiers when one of them started yelling at me. I stopped very quickly thinking something was wrong. That's when the shaker I had forgotten about on my bed cover went sliding full force into my back window, split the top, and spread chocolate protein all over. So now, i need another shaker...(wink wink).
 
I've broken a few shakers.

1). I broke my first one when I was just a newbie. I was doing DB curls and dropped the DBs for some reason, must've saw a spider or something (lolz) but they smashed my shaker and water flew everywhere in the gym. I was embarrassed lol

2). More recently my dog was chewing on one in the back seat and decided to chuck it out the window on the highway -_____- thank god it didn't hit anyone.
 
I always leave my shaker on the kitchen counter so I don't forget to take it with me. One evening myself and the gf got a bit wild in the kitchen and when I threw her up on the counter she knocked it off into the floor. Then flipped out when I stopped what I was doing to see if it was broke. I couldn't even fight back as the cap was cracked and my day was ruined. Needless to say the intimacy stopped there for the night ha.

i was shaking mine so hard it flew away and hit the wall did not fully brake just the lid but pretty much ruined it feels bad bros
another one i dropped a plate on it by accident and a final one got left behind in the gym we all know that feel

Throwing my app in I guess!

I come home from work. Want to hit the gym....as my daughter came home. Funny it's lacheek...I was shaking up some speed x3 sample I got and boom...decided to hand me a bunch of school papers. Snap! The lid broke as it hits the ground.

Btw..just picked up some of your test booster for my pct. Good sale price. Kudos

Food prep brother. Freeze and put in oatmeal or lucky charms.
Thaw and make peanutbutter banana sammichs. Throw them in shakes. .ect ect.

That's exactly how I use them. Pb/banana sandwiches are like a top 5 must have when I'm not cutting.
 
I just pitched one of mine in the trash today! Got knocked over in the office refrigerator (still closed up) and somebody put a sack of stuff in front of it. Thought I had forgot to put it in the fridge because I didn't see it in there so I looked everywhere else. Obviously never found it. So, today I was cleaning out the fridge (3 months later) and what did I find behind my boss's sack of stuff, my blender bottle! By this point, it was full of a nasty, rancid gelatinous goo. No way was I going to open that thing! Into the dumpster it went and it popped when it hit. I vacated the area rather quickly!

I never let mine sit more than a day at most. Smell of death.

That's how my wife is too. I thought about taking that one home to her but I was scared it might open in my truck & I really didn't want to open it in the house! My wife might have killed me if I had taken it home!
 
l always had blender bottles with the little ball I dont like them anymore because they will be noisy and moving all about while driving. So I got one from one of those prmotions that give you a bottle with the mesh lid. The first time trying it out i noticed one of the sides was slightly dented so I thought i had to screw it extra tight I thought it would spill out. Out of desperation (when you're bulking you sometimes take in 4 scoops) so the whole thing was filled to the top and the cap did not have ridges so it was hard to unscrew...as I tried to unscrew it and it hit the ceiling so hard it snapped the cover off it didnt spill it all out as I grabbed it I noticed that dent broke off and one of the sides was cracked as I was washing it. needless to say it went to the recycling center.

That is true about the ball when your driving good point.
 
I had just got a new shaker with an order I made, and took my PWO. Coming home from the gym I dropped it in my driveway and the bottom cracked across the length. So you could fill it and it would slowly leak out the bottom.... Didn't even survive a day.
 
Left my shaker cup with milk in my aunts car. I was staying with her in Rhode Island for a little.

3 days later my lil cousin. (10) gets it out for me. He asks if he can make one for me. I said sure.

Well I guess he didn't realize that the sun beating down on the cup for 2 days in the summer made it smell bad.

He didn't rinse it out and made me a shake. I throw up after one sip.


And yes I forgave him lol
 
About 2 years ago, woke my newborn up shaking a midnight treat. Wife subsequently took and threw said shaker at me.

Needless to say I was responsible for what she hit when she missed.

Not so funny but I froze one in the freezer so my protein would stay cold during my workout. It cracked... I also melted one in the dishwasher..
 
I have to spend a decent amount of time In my car for work so I have to take all food in Tupperware and put scoops of protein powder in shakers before I leave the house. One day I'm on my way to one of my clients house and I figured I need to get a protein shake down before cause I might be in there for an hr or two. Pour the water in start shaking away but there was some protein stuck in the bottom so I was just hitting the shaker lightly on my hand and knee while driving to try and get that protein broken up and BAM!!!! The shakers entire bottom breaks clean off and now I'm covered in a halfway mixed up shake. Hair, face, shirt, pants, all over my arms, well needless to say I had to go home and change before going to their house. That was my worst broken shaker experience.
 
Well here's my story.

1. Had a blender bottle that had a gasket on the cover. I put my protein in and milk went to shake it and it would leak through the cover as if the cover gasket didn't seal. So I screwed it on tighter. Then tried shaking again, kept leaking.did this a few times till I got sick of it leaking and gave it one last final tighten. The cover broke right off and there was a crack down the side of the bottle. Bottle still works but cap needed to be tossed out.

2. I was commuting to work, which is an hour away from my house. Drinking my protein on my way in. Finished my shake in like 10 min of driving. While I'm driving there is a huge traffic jam and I all of a sudden have to pee. I figure I can hold it since I'm only 10-15 min max away without traffic. Well after a half hour of sitting in Boston traffic I urgently have to pee or I'm gonna piss myself. Keep in mind all the cars all around me an people walking In between cars. I couldn't hold it anymore But all the vehicles around me are taller or even with mine. I instantly start looking around for a winshield wiper fluid bottle or any big bottle. Just my luck only bottle I had was my cheap as$ protein shaker bottle. I propped up my gym bag on top of my lunch box so not everyone can watch me piss. This of coarse made the person on that side look over. I waited for them to mind there own business and look straight . I whipped it out and started peeing in my bottle. Filled the bottle up and still had to pee more. So I pinched it off, traffic starts moving again so I'm pinching off my penis rolling down my window and tring to drive. As soon as traffic stops again I poor out the cup of piss out the window. Then start instantly filling it back up till I no longer had to pee. Needless to say that cup got thrown out. When u gotta go u gotta go..
 
Well it begins with working out at night at the gym at work I was working out fasted with a sweat shirt on so I was really getting drained. I finish my workout start shaking my protein and I just drop it :/ the lip broke and half my protein spilled. Good thing i was alone was alittle embarrassing. It was actually my wife's pink one she was P*SSED. She would love a new shaker :).

The one I posted was just my most recent. That lid is chipped. That shaker is about a year old. Washed enough for the paint to come off haha!

I've lost many to the dishwasher.
I've lost one to smell...had it in my car for 2 months. Busy and forgot.

I had one thrown at me by an x. Its always the friggin lids that break.
 
I don't know if this qualifies but should be worth a laugh. A few years back, I was a little too long without food. I almost always keep some kind of protein jug and/or mrp's in my trunk. I was at Walmart for a few incidentals and planned on getting a s/f Powerade to make my shake. Happened to pass an end cap displaying some s/f grape soda on sale. So I'm thinking this would taste great with my vanilla powder. Let me preface at the time, I had thirty odd years of experience with protein drinks and 51 years on the planet at the time. Shaker cup, powder and CARBONATED beverage!!! What was I thinking!! I'm sitting in the car, shaking vigorously. It's pretty well mixed when I decide "just a couple more shakes". What ensued made a Mento in a soda bottle look like pre-school. What an explosion!!! This stuff went everywhere!! I was soaked, as were the dash, the windshield, passenger seat, roof...you name it. Yup. What a dumbass!!

"little ball" trick would be a great prank to pull on somebody it sounds like a crying baby to me, haha. Luckily I don't have to go through that because the mesh lid is where it's at now.

Plus if you wash the ball and then it falls wrong in the strainer you get it stuck and that turns into its own project.

Tried to upload a pic today it was too big. Mine cracked at the threads in the lid. I superglued it, that lasted for a month. I just used nail polish last night to patch it up again. This morning I came across this thread. Good stories.
