Rest Day is in your future!
I think rehab is in my future... Honestly considering going to see a movement specialist to see if they can figure out what is going on with my left side. That or to see a physical therapist. This has been an on an off issue for years, but I am at a point now where I understand I could be driving myself toward a hip replacement later in life if I don't do what is needed to correct the imbalance now. Might just need to see a really good chiro.
Ever Ready Bunny !!
I actually take days off, I only train 3-4 times a week. The rest is just walking for general activity but yeah I am on a mission right now.

I am contemplating on going back to more of a CBL / Metabolic Diet style diet plan after the end of this week. I would like to stimulate protein synthesis earlier in the day and a few times throughout the day. Perhaps even have a tiny bit of fruit during the day. The carb nite protocol is quite effective but I don't think I will need the extreme.

Even after this challenge is up next week my focus is still going to be on leaning up but I am not sure that I am going to stick with the Carb nite protocol. A CBL / Metabolic diet style will allow for better performance in the gym and possibly more muscle growth or retention. I might just limit the back loading days to 3 a week. Plus my insulin sensitivity should be on it's way back up from all of the fasting and 3 weeks now of keto. Who knows though... Things are going well and I don't know if I want to risk changing things up and breaking this momentum I have now.

Decisions decisions...

So do you not like your current diet? Or you think you’re giving up muscle? Cuz the var will keep the muscle around alone

I loved CNS from a fat loss perspective but who doesn’t like binge eating for 6-8hr once a week?

Thanks I enjoyed myself out there.

I am not losing muscle but I think I could probably gain a little while leaning out at a comparable pace. My weight hasn't really changed much in the last 3 weeks. I think I was 209.2 and now 209.9 and leaner.

Workouts are hard, less motivated, and I feel somewhat weak. Obviously I am at a decent deficit now, and that makes sense, just considering adding back in some carbs peri-workout. It works well when I am using some discipline. I just wasn't being disciplined about it when I was doing it earlier in the challenge. I was still getting in 150+ carbs in on nontraining days before which is what kept things from getting moving...

Then the other part of me says just stick with CNS and see where it takes me. Just have to get in the mentality of trying to lean up and not a performance based mentality because you can't have one in keto or you will be upset most of the time.
I loved CNS from a fat loss perspective but who doesn’t like binge eating for 6-8hr once a week?
Yeah that binge eating can definitely be fun!

I came home early to take Trinity to her practice for her show tonight and decided to do a little something to stimulate the body and parts I missed yesterday. Kept it body weight and went for reps.

I rested about 30 seconds between supersets
Push Ups 3 sets to 1 rep from failure and 4rth set to failure
Recline Ring Rows 3 sets to 1 rep from failure and 4rth set to failure

I slammed 50g whey isolate and 1.5 cup skim milk to get an insulin spike post "workout" and will start in with some cheese sticks for protein and fat to hold me over, and then have a meat source after Trinity's show.

Just now breaking my fast today. Not sure if I am going to do any type of workout tonight. Just depends on how things are going. I have been hitting a lot of upper body due to the hamstring so I might just take the night off.

Thanks, this meant so much to her. Everyone else but me was worried, I kept telling her for days. Sweetie you are already on the team. You are the best on your team and are going to be in the top for who is trying out. Guess who was right!!!!!

So the hot wings really hit the spot last night, man they were hot. Had to wipe my head a few times and was sniffling so you know it was good! Not sure why I expected to wake up looking worse but I feel like I look pretty good.

I will take some pics of me in full depletion tomorrow and see how I am looking. Most likely post them up. Then will probably take some more after some carbs to fill me out and see where I am there.

I have decided for now at least to stick with the CNS diet until I get a bit leaner. However I will probably not stick to the full on fasting all day. More likely just keep my feedings relatively small during the day that way I can stimulate a little more protein synthesis early on in the day.

When I do choose to eat in the early AM, I will more than likely start my day off with Bullet Proof coffee and some whey isolate, or a couple oz of cheese. That or normal coffee and 6 eggs cooked in CCO, Ghee, or Red Palm Oil.

Hey keen how's the OX/creatine treating you?
I never managed to order more creatine, so for now I don't know. I will try to order some today and see how it does on the 2nd half of this run.

Agreed, I need to keep things very convenient and simple right now. It requires less management of everything. Plus with CNS you can have a carb night as frequently as every 4-5 days if you want. Obviously if I were to do that they would be smaller carb ups. I was thinking of doing something like a 5/500 plan... every 5th day have 500g of carbs... for now though, I think one a week is working well.

Time for progress pics. Finally made some strides, have lost a total of 6lbs since the start of this. Feeling good about where I am now considering how long I have actually had my diet in check that is.

Here I am @ a very depleted 205 lbs. I am going to carb up tonight and take some pics in the AM as well to see how I look with 500-1000g carbs in me.

Looking good bro, been following along I know you got serious and put the hammer down a few weeks ago and have been working hard.

I do have a question for you. Just got a fresh batch of anavar. I was wondering if you see anything spectacular coming from the large amounts of creatine and caffeine and taken all at night? Not sure if there's anything else I'm missing as far as the dosing protocol that Spurfy recommended but was just curious as to what you see. Also you probably posted it and I may have missed it but how many milligrams are you running.

Ill most likely do 40-60/day alongside trt possibly may bump the test up slightly.

Yes I did notice and honestly I ran out of creatine 5 days ago so that is part of the weight loss. Otherwise I would be closer to 210 just as lean but more full. The creatine kept me full like I was on carbs the whole time and my pumps were unreal which was crazy being on keto. I am running 40mg of var a night so nothing massive for me. As a matter of fact I am going to order some NOW creatine now... Will definitely help with the rest of this.

Ok cool so you do feel like these things work well w the anavar.... Are you doing w caffeine? Also your taking it all at night in one single dose? Creatine has never really treated me well. Makes me soft and bloated. Plus believe it or night I notice I get slightly anxious when taking it. I was just wondering what your experience has been like w creatine in the past, in other words do you feel like you responded well to it before the var?

I was getting soft and bloated when loading before but haven't tried it with the Now brand, but it is so cheap it isn't really a loss if it isn't better in that regard. I am fine with it around 10g a day with no bloating and I do feel that even with just 10g a day you would notice more with the var. Maybe work into it, but he did say to go with Now brand because lots of supplement companies buy the cheapest CM they can. Now is a vitaimin company so they are a little more choosy about high quality stuff.

Spent the day in Galveston with my daughter having a blast doing the Daddy Daughter Date thing. We went out to the Pleasure Peir and road rides until I puked from one of them. LMAO! I had a feeling that my carb load the day before might not have been the best idea when I woke up in the AM with some serious indigestion. However I wasn't about to let my baby girl down. So we went and rode all the rides, and of course it ended up being a kiddie ride that got me but it was only about 20 minutes before I intended to leave anyway so it wasn't that bad.

My daughter thought it was hilarious though. Kept saying she wished she caught it on video... yes that "demon child" wanted a recording to watch over and over for her enjoyment! I told her she had an evil streak and she MUAH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA'd me and said yes she needed it for youtube hits...

Lucky for all involved I managed to hold it down until I got off the ride and to the trash can but still... I was doing fine and then towards the end of this ride it turned on me. So as it started slowing down I was thinking "Good that was starting to make me sick... then the lady running it says Oh No what is happening now, oh no we are going backwards!!!"

Yeah the backwards was just too much. I am not all that into the spinning stuff, it has my number and I know it but I thought maybe I could get away with it.

Oh man this would have been SO BAD if I had launched on the ride man, it came out with so much force it splattered back on me from the trash can. Easily a gallon of puke by the 3rd heave... I mean it was bad... the guy who had to clean it up was looking at me like C'mon on you serious! You could tell he felt bad for me though. He said "Man that was some Exorcist puking there!!!!"

I took the day off yesterday from any and all exercise. I was still feeling a tiny bit off so I figured I would wait a day before giving the weights a go. If I have time I will go out and exercise at lunch, or just walk maybe toss in some squats lunges and push ups in the process. Who knows but I am ready to get a bit physical.

On a good note I seem to still be leaning up, not eating a lot even without exercise will do that for you. I have definitely noticed that I am still leaning up some. I got at least another 3 weeks of serious dieting in me if not more. I hope that I am motivated to get myself in the 8-10% range but who knows. A solid 10-12% would look pretty dang good. Not too worried about how much I weigh and honestly the idea of getting below 200 doesn't sound too bad if I retain plenty of muscle. Definitely healthier for me to be a little lighter.

If only we were mesomorphs... that is there dang homeostasis.

The problem is that the target moves every time I change my goals... I think somewhere between 8-12% is the best for that. Any leaner and the joints get a bit crusty unless you are just naturally ripped. Any higher than 12 and you are probably carrying a few lbs of fat that aren't benefiting you. Unless in the power game that is.
